Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian deskriptif ini adalah untuk mengetahui Self efficacy matematik siswa kelas VIII SMP 7 Cimahi dilihat dari gendernya. Subjek dari  penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 42 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan angketself efficacy(Mastery Experience, Vicarious Experience,Verbal Persuasion, dan Physiological and Affective states), wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis data angket self efficacydan wawancara, didapatkan hasil bahwa self efficacy siswa laki-laki lebih baik daripada siswa perempuan dilihat dari persentasenya. Karena siswa laki-laki lebih unggul dalam: kemampuan matematikanya, kemampuan mengolah pengalaman pada pembelajaran matematika, menjadikan role model sebagai motivator, menganalisis pendapat dari orang lain, mengontrol situasi emosinya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze mathematic creatively thinking and analyze students' difficulties in solving the problem of mathematical creative thinking on Trigonometric material in review of self confidence. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MAN Kota Cimahi that consists of 27 students. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The stage of this research consists of  five stages, including: filling self confidence, tests of mathematical creative thinking ability, interviews, analysze and take a conclusions. The results of the research showed that, when that self confidence affect the improvement of mathematical creative thinking in students. The higher self confidence in the students, the curiosity of students will be encouraged and will increase the ability of creative thinking mathematics. Otherwise, if the self confidence in students is lower, than the student's curiosity is less encouraged and this will have an impact to increase the ability to think creative mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of Advanced Mathematical Thinking in students whose learning uses the Knisley Mathematical model compared to those using ordinary learning. The research method used is quantitative with Pretest-Postest-Only design, with the instrument used is the Advanced Mathematical Thinking test instrument with 3 categories of questions. Learning is carried out applied to one of the courses at the basic level, Trigonometry. The results obtained from this study are students whose learning using the Knisley mathematical model in Trigonometry courses is better improved than those using ordinary learning, the most prominent results are in the ability of representation and the results that still tend to be low are in the ability of abstraction.

Abstract

The use of learning media in schools is still not widely used when the online learning process. This research aims to make the learning medium of Mathematics Mobile Learning application effective and practical as a medium of learning mathematics. The research methods used include three stages of Design Research research methods, in producing a kodular-assisted Android-based Mathematics Mobile Learning application. Mathematics Mobile Learning is packaged in the form of interactive animation, complemented by an evaluation of the understanding of the phytagoras theorem, so that students can personally evaluate the achievement of abilities associated with the phytagoras theorem. Materials presented in the Mathematics Mobile Learning application include learning videos, e-books and practice questions. Mathematics Mobile Learning design trials conducted on Grade VIII junior high students resulted in the growth of student motivation in learning the phytagoras theorem, and students were helped in understanding the material of the Phytagoras theorem. Based on these results it can be seen that the android-based Mathematics Mobile Learning medium is a viable medium, and practical in helping students construct a better understanding of the phytagoras theorem. So that students can learn anytime and anywhere in accordance with the needs of students, besides that it can also be repeated if they do not understand, in contrast to face-to-face learning if you do not understand in the defense it is difficult to repeat again.

Abstract

This research is a case study research that aims to find out the difficulties of junior high school students in solving SPLDV problems. The subjects in this study were 10 students of class VIII-B MTs Negeri 3 Purwakarta, consisting of 3 students who had low abilities, 4 students who had moderate abilities, and 3 students who had high abilities. The instrument used in this study was in the form of test questions with a description of 6 questions which were arranged based on the cognitive domain of Bloom's taxonomy from the level of questions C3 to C6. The data analysis technique carried out consisted of checking student answers by calculating the percentage of each indicator, determining the type of error in answering the question, and knowing the type of student difficulty. The results showed that students still had difficulties in solving SPLDV problems. The success rate of students in solving SPLDV questions is still relatively low, this can be seen from the number of students who have difficulty solving SPLDV problems, especially on indicators about the ability to apply or use procedures to model and detail the value of the variables asked in a PLDV. The level of difficulty in these indicators is quite high. So that efforts are needed to improve students' ability to understand SPLDV material in online learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication abilities in terms of selft concept of studens of class VIII junior high school 10 Cimahi. This research method is included in this type of research descriptive research is qualitative, describes approach the errors of students in answering questions mathematical communication seen from selft concept. The research in the test to 22 students in the sample in this study is 9 students. The determination of the sampling is done by taking the 3 students that have high self concept, 3 students who have self concept, and 3 student have low self concept. The result of data analysis showed the ability of mathematical communication for students who have hgh self concept that is 2 students showed the test of mathematical communication ability enough and 1 student low. Mathematical communication skills for students who have a moderate self concept that is 2 students showed good mathematical cominication ability test and 1 low students. The ability of mathematical communication for students who have a low selft concept that is 2 student showed less mathematical ability test and 1 students enough.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah resiliensi matematis siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pembelajaran scientific berbantuan VBA EXEL di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang dilihat berdasarkan gender. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IX yang berjumlah 31 siswa, yaitu 15 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu angket resiliensi dengan 20 pernyataan dari enam indicator yaitu 1) Sikap tekun,yakin/ percaya diri, bekerja keras, tidak mudah menyerah menghadapi masalah, kegagalan dan ketidakpastian, 2) Berkeinginan bersosialisasi, mudah memberi bantuan, berdiskusi dengan sebayanya, dan beradaptasi dengan lingkungan, 3) Memudahkan ide/cara baru dan mencari solusi kreatif terhadap tangtangan, 4) Menggunakan pengalaman kegagalan untuk membangun motivasi diri, 5) Menunjukan rasa ingin tahu, merefleksi, meneliti, mamanfaatkan beragam sumber, dan 6) Memiliki kemampuan berbahasa, mengontrol diri dan sadar akan perasaannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode perbedaan dua rerata. Data angket ditransformasi dari data ordinal menjadi data interval dengan menggunakan method of successive interval (MSI). Setelah data ditransformasi, kemudian data angket resiliensi matematis diuji statistik dengan menggunakan software SPSS 16. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan resiliensi matematis siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pembelajaran scientific berbantuan VBA Exel. Siswa perempuan mendominasi seluruh indicator resiliensi matematis, dan terlihat signifikan pada indicator ke-2 yaitu Berkeinginan bersosialisasi, mudah memberi bantuan, berdiskusi dengan sebayanya, dan beradaptasi dengan lingkungan.

Abstract

Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran bersifat daring dan mayoritas kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan handphone. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar (BRSD) dengan menggunakan model matematika Knisley berbantuan Geometryx di masa Covid-19. Pengembangan LKS ini dipandang dapat menjadi satu alternatif yang akan menjadikan kegiatan pembelajaran daring menjadi lebih menarik dan interaktif. LKS BRSD dengan model matematika Knisley berbantuan Geometryx meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu: (1) concrete–reflective; (2) concrete–active; (3) abstract–reflective; dan (4) abstract–active. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu design research yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu: (1) desain pendahuluan (preliminary design); (2) percobaan desain (design experiment); dan (3) analisis restrospektif (restrospective analysis). Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini berasal dari hasil validasi dua orang validator dan respon dari 30 siswa kelas VIII SMP. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa LKS BRSD dengan menggunakan model matematika Knisley berbantuan Geometryx berada pada kriteria valid dan tidak perlu direvisi. LKS BRSD dengan menggunakan model matematika Knisley berbantuan Geometryx mendapatkan respon yang positif dari siswa, sehingga dipandang dapat menjadikan pembelajaran matematika secara bermakna.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah berdampak pada berbagai bidang di dunia, tanpa terkecuali bidang pendidikan. Situasi ini menyebabkan berubahnya pembelajaran yang biasanya tatap muka di ruang kelas menjadi dilaksanakan dirumah, yaitu dengan pembelajaran daring. Pada saat pembelajaran daring, banyak siswa merasa kesulitan dalam pelaksanaannya, khususnya pada pelajaran matematika. Oleh karena hal tersebut, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan siswa pada saat pembelajaran daring matematika di SMP Muslimin Cililin. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode survey, yaitu dengan menyebarkan angket online. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari lima kelas yang berbeda, kelas VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, dan VIII E yang terdiri dari 51 responden. Berdasarkan analisis hasil dari angket online, didapatkan hasil bahwa kebanyakan siswa menggunakan WhatsApp sebagai media saat pembelajaran daring, kendala umum yang di alami siswa selama pembelajaran daring di dominasi jaringan internet yang tidak memadai dan memori HP yang penuh. Selain itu, matematika juga menjadi kesulitan dan tantangan tersendiri bagi siswa saat pembelajaran daring dikarenakan beberapa faktor, yaitu: (1) terbatasnya ruang interaksi dengan guru, (2) banyaknya rumus yang digunakan dalam matematika, (3) objek yang di pelajari dalam matematika memiliki pola abstrak

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to distance learning (PJJ). This results in a lack of student motivation which leads to a decrease in learning outcomes. This study aims to increase students' learning motivation in the form of providing motivational videos. This study used purposive sampling with 10 students of class VII-B at SMPN 1 Margaasih. The researcher also uses Kemmis and Taggart's research model and the data collection technique used is the Likert Scale Technique. The analytical technique used is by distributing a learning motivation questionnaire. After being given a motivational video, learning outcomes are directly proportional to the results of learning motivation. With the results of the research Cycle 1 is 40%, Cycle 2 is 80%, and Cycle 3 is 100%. From this research, the researcher concludes that learning motivation affects learning outcomes.
