Abstract

Hasdone research Michelson interferometer system along with data acquisition, which is used for measuring strain in the tensile testing machine. Moveable mirror Michelson interferometer system mounted on the specimen clamp tensile testing machine. When the load is given in the test specimen, the specimen having the length and cause of any difference wave length of the laser beam. The wave length differences cause interference, and produce an interference pattern in the form of dark-light pattern (fringe). Interference pattern will be detected phototransistor sensor signal wave form, then recorded and processed by electronic circuits and interface microcontroller circuit, as well as converted and displayed as a displacement/increase in length (strain) of the test specimen. The experimental results obtained by the Michelson interferometer system that measures the movement (displacement) of the best maximum 9 mm. Displacement measurements using aluminium specimens produced a mean standard deviation of 0.023 (0.2%) and 0.074 (0.08%), and use of low carbon steel specimen rods produce a mean deviation of 0.08 (0.72%). appears that the system is very close to the measurement interferometer with ekstensometer. Measurement accuracy at the time of the test specimen is attached to be reduced compared to the measurements on the crosshead without load, due to a growing vibration machine.

Abstract

Nilai galat rata-rata untuk ketiga pengukuran tegangan adalah 1%, dan untuk pengukuran arus adalah 3,15%.Kata kunci: gelombang tegangan dan arus, Arduino Due, Python, tiga fasa ABSTRACTThe development of three phase permanent magnet generators require the measurement of related quantities to determine the characteristics of generator. The common measured quantities are voltage, current, and power. However the voltage and current output waveforms of each phase are not considered. Therefore a system is designed which is able to display voltage and current waveforms at once. This system is implemented using a voltage sensor, current sensor, signal conditioning circuit, Arduino Due, and a computer as a GUI using the Python programming language. The results of implementation and testing show that the GUI is able to display the voltage and current output waveforms, in addition, performs the maximum, minimum, average, and rms values. The average error value for the three voltage measurements is 1%, and for the three current measurements is 3.15%.Keywords: voltage and current waveforms, Arduino Due, Python, three phases

Abstract

The habit of cleaning hands is one of the new habits during the current COVID-19 pandemic. One way to clean hands is with a hand sanitizer. The automatic hand sanitizer dispenser can be used to clean hands, without touching a button or any part of the appliance. Community service in this paper is carried out by making a number of automatic hand sanitizer dispensers, and distributing them in a number of places, around Campus III of Sanata Dharma University, Paingan, Maguwoharjo, Yogyakarta. A number of complaints emerged from the person in charge of the distribution site for the appliance. The most common complaint is that the appliance does not function as it should. This complaint is caused by a problem with the proximity sensor used. This sensor is too affected by light intensity. To overcome this, it is necessary to explore other types of sensors that are better than proximity sensors, which are less affected by light intensity.

Abstract

The education sector is one of the most impacted areas of the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools, which generally hold offline meetings, now have to transform into online sessions. With this pandemic, the teaching process must be "forced" to be online. The assignment model is usually given in physical mode (questions on paper, done and collected) is no longer relevant because of the limitations of physical meetings. On the other hand, students need an explanation from the teacher directly because they are familiar with the context of offline learning. Judging from the lack of computer ownership, whether owned by students or their parents, the technological literacy of the student and the teacher is required to carry out this teaching and learning process properly. To answer this problem, the Informatics and Electrical Study Program at Sanata Dharma University held training activities for making teaching media for SD Negeri Sawah teachers, who ultimately played an important role in improving teachers' technological literacy in carrying out online learning. In addition, at the school's request, we also held a phase 2 training targeting fourth-graders in preparation for the ANBK, a computer-based national exam they had to pass in the following year, which successfully increased the student's confidence to sit the test.

Abstract

In Indonesia the needs toward energy has been increasing. Therefore, eco-friendly renewable energy becomes an alternative power source. In relation to the idea, within the conduct of the experimental study the researcher designed a Savonius-type waterwheel with horizontal axis and the waterwheel was tested in the river stream. Then, within the design the researcher applied one waterflow regulator with the angle variation 30˚, 45˚ and 60˚. The study was conducted on river flow with a flow velocity of ± 0.6 m / s. the result is the addition of the deflector angle affects the ability to support the load, the maximum wheel efficiency(Cp) of 0.57.

Abstract

In the agricultural sector there are many mushroom farmers who do manual cultivation. Environmental factors that influence the growth of oyster mushrooms include temperature and humidity. This system was made to maintain the stability of temperature and humidity in oyster mushrooms’ greenhouse remotely. Communication of remote data exchange between Raspberry-Pi and Zelio using TCP/IP networks was successfully carried out. The system managed to run the features in the setting menu which is able to set the temperature and humidity set point values, set the on/off condition of the actuators, display the local system set point and set the on/off condition of the enable button in the GUI. Temperature and humidity values, and actuator status can displayed in monitoring menu. In the logging menu, the data was saved in csv format. Automatic file naming based on date was successfully done, the csv file was successfully opened  and displayed in graphical plot.

Abstract

Mathematics and Physics are subjects that are not only difficult for students but also difficult for teachers. To make it easier to understand the material, Geogebra software is used. In this community service, Geogebra training was provided for high school teachers who are Mathematics and Physics teachers in West Kalimantan. The training was conducted online involving 10 lecturers and 5 assistants. The training consisted of 4 sessions carried out over 2 days which was attended by 31 teachers of Mathematics and Physics. The training is divided into 2 classes to be more effective. From the training results, there was an increase in the ability to use Geogebra by 38.05%. The average level of participant satisfaction with the implementation of the study is 4.15 on (a scale of 5)

Abstract

In the Mangun Karsa eco camp area, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, a reservoir has been built to be used to collect rainwater and named the Grigak Reservoir. The water from the reservoir will be used to irrigate plantation crops grown in the area. However, due to the location of the reservoir under plantation land, a water pump was needed to lift it. Due to the absence of a PLN electricity source and previously built a solar water pump, so to lift the water from the reservoir, a similar solar water pump was built. The water pump used was a jet pump type with a total head of up to 100m. The average water discharge produced at a height of 40m was 27lpm.
