Abstract

Cartoons, which are closely associated with children, tend to contain violence and mere entertainment. It is still rare to find comics that have Islamic values. This study aims to critically analyse the construction of Islamic values in the cartoon film Omar and Hana episode Alalala Raju. The research was qualitative research using the Van Dijk model of critical discourse analysis and content analysis of the da’wa message. The data was from a YouTube channel called Omar & Hana - Islamic Children’s Songs. The study results found that the structure of the film’s text contains a discourse of advice to children to share objects they have and love. The social cognition system explains that this film has a vision and mission to instil Islamic values and joy in children worldwide, namely by sharing. And the social context that becomes the background is the concern of parents about the lack of Islamic cartoons and the difficulty of children sharing. The meaning of discourse contained in the film is as a message of da’wa morals.

Abstract

Da'wah to congregants who have negative prejudices is not an easy thing. The Prophet Muhammad experienced this condition during the distribution of the Hunain war ghanimah. The Ansar had a negative prejudice that the Prophet had acted unjustly. This paper aims to describe the persuasive da'wah communication techniques used by the Prophet in this incident. The method used in this paper is a literature study. The results of analysis show that the Prophet Muhammad used several persuasive da'wah communication techniques, namely yes response, say it with flowers, and pay-off. There is an interesting finding that in influencing and changing Ansar's attitude the Prophet Muhammad did not put words of invitation at the core of his message, but used question words. The persuasive da'wah techniques used by the Prophet Muhammad are useful as a reference for modern preachers in dealing with conditions of crisis of trust.

Abstract

Secara umum dakwah dibagi menjadi bil lisan, bil qalam, dan bil hal. Saat ini, perkembangan dakwah bil qalam jauh tertinggal dari dakwah bil lisan. Referensi-referensi penulisan dakwah yang bersifat terapan juga sangat sedikit, terutama yang berbasis argumentasi. Selama ini penulisan dakwah identik dengan penulisan persuasi karena makna dakwah adalah seruan, mirip dengan pengertian persuasi. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memperkaya dan sekaligus sebagai panduan dalam penulisan dakwah yang argumentatif berbasis pada teori Argumentasi Stephen Toulmin. Kajian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil Kajian menghasilkan kesimpulan, tahapan langkah penulisan dakwah yang argumentatif adalah: 1) Menggali spirit pesan dakwah, 2) Mengumpulkan data, 3) Merumuskan struktur argumentasi, 4) Menyusun kerangka tulisan, 5) Mengembangkan kerangka. Tahapan langkah ini bisa menjadi panduan bagi pengembangan dakwah bil qalam.

Abstract

Peristiwa Saqifah Bani Saidah memiliki potensi perpecahan umat Islam setelah wafatnya Rasulullah saw. Kaum Anshar menghendaki pemimpin umat Islam berasal dari mereka. Jikapun kaum Muhajirin menolak, maka untuk Anshar seorang pemimpin dan untuk kaum Muhajirin seorang pemimpin. Namun Abu Bakar tidak sependapat dengan pendapat kaum Anshar. Abu Bakar pada awalnya dipandang tidak memiliki legitimasi kepemimpinan oleh Anshar. Namun melalui pidatonya, Abu Bakar mampu merubah pendirian kaum Anshar. Studi ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis literatur untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan. Dalam peristiwa Saqifah ini Abu Bakar mampu membangun etos, pathos, dan logos sehingga dirinya dipandang kaum Anshar sebagai figur yang terbaik untuk menggantikan kepemimpinan Rasulullah dan mampu meredam perpecahan umat Islam yang hampir terjadi. Hasil studi bisa menjadi referensi bahwa pembicara mampu membangun kredibilitas melalui retorika meskipun pada awalnya tidak dipercaya oleh khalayak.

Abstract

The stories of AbuNawas has long been known as a bedtime story. Not many people realize that in thestory of Abu Nawas there is da'wah message that fits the context of the golden ageof Islam, especially during the time of the caliph Harun Al-Rasyid. To find out thecontent of the da'wah message, it is necessary to analyze the narrative flow in AbuNawas' stories. This article aims to provide a complete picture of the narrative flowor plot of the Abu Nawas stories. The research method uses a descriptive qualitativeapproach using Tzetan Todorov's narrative structure theory and ChristopherBooker's narrative plots. Data was taken from 27 stories in the book entitled 'TheStory of 1001 Nights: Abu Nawas the Heartbreaker'. The resulting conclusion showsthat the narrative flow of the Abu Nawas stories are different from Todorov andBooker's theory. The stories of Abu Nawas have a storyline that begins with thepresence of a problem, attempts to think of solution, and finally the problem issolved. The plot in the stories of Abu Nawas also illustrates the ingenuity of a Muslimin dealing with problems no matter how difficult they are. The conclusion of thisarticle can be an inspiration for preachers who use the bil qalam path.
