Abstract

Disain sebuah kolam untuk atraksi lumba-lumba perlu diperhatikan, agar kecepatan gerak lumba-lumba dan variasi gayanya menjadi semakin menarik bagi pengunjung. Kolam bagi lumba lumba adalah tempat pentas sekaligus tempat hidupnya, sebagai pengganti habitat yang asli di lautan lepas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengkomparasikan kecepatan gerak lumba-lumba di dua bentuk kolam, oval dan bulat, (2) Mengetahui faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kecepatan gerak lumba-lumba sebelum dan saat berpentas. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap berbagai pihak yang terlibat langsung dalam pementasan lumba-lumba, studi pustaka dan pengukuran terhadap kolam lumba-lumba di Dolphins Centre dan The Sea Pantai Cahaya. Langkah selanjutnya adalah analisis dengan cara mengkomparasikan kecepatan gerak lumba-lumba di kedua bentuk kolam oval dan bulat, untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kecepatan geraknya. Setelah dianalisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 3 faktor yang mempengaruhi kecepatan gerak lumba-lumba: 1) bentuk kolam mempengaruhi kecepatan gerak lumba-lumba dalam melakukan atraksinya, 2) suara music,  dan 3) waktu pentas. Hasil ini menjadi design guideline bagi perencana kolam  lumba-lumba untuk fungsi atraksi di taman rekreasi. Beberapa hal yang disarankan adalah pengoptimalan kolam bentuk oval, yang dilengkapi musik serta waktu pentas sebaiknya pada pukul 09.00 atau 11.00 WIB , yaitu waktu setelah pemberian sarapan pagi.

Abstract

In this paper, we will generalize the multi link internet charging scheme in multi class QoS network. This scheme is designed according to the base price, quality premium and quality of service to help the service provider to set up the parameters to optimize the service provider’s profit and to serve better quality of service. The objective function is formed by setting up the base price as a constant and setting up quality premium as a parameter and a variable. Models are in form of Mixed Integer Nonlinear Programming Problem and are solved by using LINGO 13.0 to obtain the optimal solutions. The results show that in case when we set up the base price as a parameter with varying the quality premium, fixing the sensitivity price of user I in class j and also varying the sensitivity of class j, the highest optimal solution was achieved. The modified model also gives better optimal solution compared to original model. It means that by fixing base price, ISP is able to goal its objective by recovering cost and promoting certain services.

Abstract

The pricing for wireless networks is developed to obtain surplus from subscribers. The linearity factors, elasticity price, price factors are discussed. the new approach of wireless pricing model proposed by previous research are approached by considering the model as the nonlinear programming problem that can be solved optimally using LINGO 13.0. The problem is considered to be nonlinear programming that can be solved using optimization tools. The solutions are expected to give some information about the connections between the acceptance factor and the price. The models attempt to maximize the total price for a connection based on QoS parameter. The maximum goal to maximum price is achieved when the provider set the increment of price change due to QoS change and amount of QoS value. The linearity parameter set up for most cases is obtained in ceiling value. Linear price factor ranges between the prescribed value especially cases when we increase the price change due to QoS change and increase the amount of QoS values.

Abstract

School as an institution where children get education, teaching and learning so that the school produced a superior human beings and qualified. Kartasura PCM is one of the flagship PCM in PDM Sukoharjo have elementary school level that has been known in the community, namely: MIM PK Muhammadiyah Kartasura, MIM Pucangan, Kertonatan MIM, MIM Gonilan and SDIT Al Kawthar Makamhaji Kartasura. The current fifth that grade school has a good reputation in the community. This community service aimed to increased awareness of the environment from all components of school at Muhammadiyah Elementary schools in PCM Kartasura. The first stage wasthe policy workshop school by school leaders and teachers, the second was distribute the grant of trash cans and posters, the third stage wasparticipatory education of Hole Infiltration Biopori and the fourth stage was monitoring. Monitoring results found that posters used as it should be, but the trash cans are still not being used properly, placement of trash cans were not side by side and still foundedthe organic waste mix with an organic waste in the same trash cans. Abstract

This final project is based on the research which attempted to find out the effectiveness of Herringbone technique to teach reading of narrative text. The design of this study was experimental study. There were two groups used in the research; the experimental group and the control group. The two groups were given different treatments. The experimental group was taught by using Herringbone technique while the control group was taught using conventional technique. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 24 Semarang in the academic year of 2015/2016. The number of the subjects was 64 students. The data were obtained by administering reading test to the VIII A as control group and VIII B as experimental group. The research was started by giving pre-test, treatments, and post-test to both experimental groups and control groups. The data of the test were analyzed by using t-test formula to know the difference of the students’ comprehension in reading narrative text between two groups. The data analysis in research ,some purpose can be drawn as follow. The first purpose of the study is to discuss the effectiveness of teaching reading using Herringbone technique to improve students’ reading of narrative text. The use of Herringbone technique in teaching reading makes the activity in class more interesting. The students are active and more enthusiastic following the teachers’ instruction and working in group. The second purpose of the study is to analyze the significant difference between teaching reading using Herringbone technique and the one using conventional technique. The difference in score of both test can be drawn as follow. The average score of pre-test of the experimental group was 67.75 and the control group was 65.59. The average score of post-test of the experimental group was 71.31 while the control one was 69.71. The result of the t-test of mean difference was 8.94 and t-table was 2.00. It means that t-value is higher than t-table (8.94>2.00). It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between teaching reading using Herringbone technique and the one using conventional technique. Based on the research conducted, it proved that the use of Herringbone technique is effective as a strategy to improve teaching reading comprehension of narrative text to the eighth year students of SMP Negeri 24 Semarang.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika khususnya siswa SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode scaffolding berbasis kontruktivisme terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest and posttest design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIE sebanyak 32 siswa. Uji analisis data menggunakan t-test dan n-gain test. Hasil uji t dengan bantuan SPSS menunjukkan bahwa sig = 0.000  0,05, nilai rata-rata klasikal mengalami kenaikan sebesar 15,63 dan berdasarkan g faktor (N-Gain) siswa mengalami peningkatan kompetensi yang cukup baik. Dengan demikian ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran scaffolding berbasis kontruktivisme terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Metode pembelajaran scaffolding berbasis kontruktivisme dapat diterapkan dalam setiap pembelajaran, karena selain dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, siswa juga akan mendapatkan variasi pembelajaran sehingga mengurangi kejenuhan dan meningkatkan semangat maupun aktivitas siswa dalam belajarKata kunci: hasil belajar; konstruktivisme; scaffolding.ABSTRACTThis study is motivated by the fact that many students have difficulties in learning mathematics especially for junior highschool students. This study aims to know the implementation of scaffolding method based on constructivism to students’ mathematics achievement. This is an experimental study with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample were 32 students grade VIII. Data is analyzed by t-test and n-gain test. T-test result shows that sig=0,000<0,05, The average score increases 15,63 and based on N-gain test shows that students competence increases too. It means that scaffolding method based on constructivism influence students’ mathematics achievement significantly. Thus scaffolding method based on constructivism can be implemented in any instruction, because it can increase students’ achievement and students will get learning variation that can reduce boredom and motivate them to learn actively. Abstract

The use of plants as traditional medicine has been known since long time ago bypeople in Lipu. This process has been inherited from one to next generation, nevertheless.nowdays, it has started to be extincted. So, it should be better to indentify the species ofplant used as traditional medicine by people in Lipu. The research aims to investigate thekinds of plant which uses as traditional medicine. The part of plant used and how to processand the adventage of the plant. The research used explorative survey method. The result ofthe research there are 54 species from 31 family of plants used as traditional medicine bythe people. The parts used of plant are leaf, stem/bark, root, flower, fruit, seed, tuber,rhizome and sap. The processing of the plants by refine, boil, squeeze, parch, pour boilingwater, rasp and without processing. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: the character trichomes of the plant teak(Tectona grandis L.) planted on gold post-mining soil Bombana with variation dose of goatmanure. This research is experimental use completely randomized design with 4 treatment,namely without goat manure (control/K0), and treatment of goat manure 100g 10kg-1 soil(K1), 125g 10kg-1 soil (K2), and 150g 10kg-1 soil (K3) in repeated 3 times. Teak plantparameters observed were the levels of length and number trichomes on the side abaksialand adaksial leaves (Tectona grandis L.). The results showed that goat manure of thetreatments K2 gives the highest value of length trichomes abaksial (995,46 μm), highestlength trikomes adaksial K0 (406,203μm). The biggest number trikomes abaksial on K3(3,481) and biggest number trichomes adaksial on K3 (4,047) too. Three character anatomyof trichomes was found in this research, namely dichotome multiselluler type on the abaksialleaf surface, slim uniselluler and biselluler type on the adaksial leaf surface.Key words: Teak (Tectona grandis L.), Goat manure, post-mining soil, trichomes.

Abstract

Anak usia dini adalah individu yang sedang mengalami proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sangat pesat, bahkan dikatakan sebagai lompatan perkembangan. Anak usia dini juga adalah anak yang masih berada dalam masa-masa bermain. Masa ini anak baru belajar mengenal dunia yang masih luas selain lingkungan keluarganya. Karena anak usia dini memiliki rentang usia yang sangat berharga dibandingkan dengan usia-usia selanjutnya karena perkembangan kecerdasannya sangat luar biasa. Usia ini sering disebut “usia emas” (the golden age) yang hanya datang sekali dan tidak dapat diulangi lagi, yang sangat menentukan untuk mengembangkan kualitas manusia.  Periode ini hanya berlangsung pada saat anak dalam kandungan hingga usia dini, yaitu 0-6 tahun. Namun, masa bayi dalam kandungan hingga lahir, sampai usia 4 (empat) tahun adalah masa-masa yang paling menentukanBukti-bukti sudah jelas bahwa seorang anak tidak dilahirkan dengan perlengkapan yang sudah sempurna. Dengan sendirinya pola-pola berjalan, berbicara, merasakan, berpikir, atau pembentukan pengalaman harus dipelajari. Barangkali tidak ada minat yang bersifat alami, tetapi dorongan-dorongan potensi tertentu atau impul-impul tertentu membentuk dasar-dasar dari minat apa saja yang dikembangkan anak di lingkungan tempat ia tumbuh dan berkembang.Untuk dapat mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya anak di usia golden age ini maka orang tua harus memberikan dukungan penuh  agar anak dapat meningkatkan kreatifitas dan mengembangkan bakat yang dimiliki oleh anak. Dukungan yang dapat diberikan kepada anak adalah waktu, kesempatan, dorongan, sarana, lingkungan, hubungan yang harmonis dalam keluarga, cara mendidik yang baik, serta kesempatan untuk memperoleh pengetahuan.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Anak Usia Dini dan Golden Age
