Abstract

One of the methods used for the provision of electricity used en masse is the Photovoltaic Solar Energy system (SESF) or better known as Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant. Tawa Village which is one of the remote villages in South Halmehera Regency has not been reachable by electricity sources from PLN. As one of the villages affected by the 7.2 richter scale earthquake in July 2019, Tawa Village relies solely on Photovoltaic Power Plant for its village lighting. With limited power that is the capacity of solar panels 50 Wp, plts can only serve the needs of electricity at night and during the day there is no supply of electricity. This form of socialization is direct socialization where direct socialization is direct communication in the form of face-to-face communication between the two parties, namely communicators and communion.  In this socialization who acts as a communicator is the father of M.Yunus Hi. Abbas, ST.,MT lecturer of Elector Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Khairun University and his communion are all citizens of Tawa village. socialization activities utilization of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in Tawa Village, it is expected that the public can understand the utilization of Solar Power Plants properly and know the stages of solar panel maintenance so as to produce solar energy sources that will be channeled into electricity that can serve household needs such as lighting lamps, televisions, radios, fans and other household needs

Abstract

Good battery performance, will support the device used. The energy that a battery can store is limited, so the battery will experience charge and discharge cycles. The process of charging and discharging improperly can cause battery performance to decrease. Therefore, battery management is needed so that battery performance can reach the maximum. One aspect of battery management is monitoring the state of charge which is the ratio of the capacitance of available energy to the maximum energy capacity. In this research, a charge controller device is made whose function is to regulate the charging voltage from the solar panel to the battery so that overcharging and overvoltage do not occur and also regulate the use of the voltage from the load battery, so as not to exceed the minimum limit of battery capacity usageThe system consists of a Solar Panel, Arduino Uno R3 Microcontroller, 16x2 LCD, Relay Circuit, Buck Boost Converter Circuit, Voltage Sensor and Battery. When charging the battery reaches a voltage level of 14 volts, the relay circuit is disconnected indicating the battery is full, when the battery voltage drops to 11 volts, the relay is connected again and the battery is recharged again.

Abstract

The problem of the need for electrical energy, especially petroleum as a source of energy is decreasing, so that savings must be anticipated as early as possible. One of the saving measures taken to reduce the use of petroleum in order to meet electricity needs is to use water energy as renewable energy, so in this study PLTMH is planned. The things that are taken into account in planning PLTMH are conduits, water tanks, rapid pipes, powerhouses, turbines and generators. The PLTMH research was conducted in Tawa Village, Gane Barat Selatan District, South Halmahera Regency. The results obtained are a water discharge of 0.28 m3 / s and a waterfall height of 12 meters, a diameter of 12 cm of rapid pipe, a length of 19.20 m of rapid pipe. kW, and the generator is sporadically coupled so that the net power of the turbine is equal to the gross power of the generator. The efficiency of the generator is 90%, so that it produces a rise power of 18.88 kW divided by cos φ which is equal to 23.6 kVA
