Abstract

Neem (Azadirachta indica) is known as an anti-insecticide that can affect approximately 400 species of insects. Neem is widely grown in Indonesia and easily found so it is used as a vegetable insecticide. Simple processing methods are needed so they can be easily applied. Preliminary treatment that can be done before immersion is one of them is reduction in particle size (grinding). This study aims to determine the effect of powder size on the physical characteristics of neem leaf immersion oil. By observing the results of immersion in olive oil Nimba powder leaf that has been sifted using 40, 60 and 80 mesh sieves. The results obtained show the size of the powder affects the color, clarity, aroma and specific gravity. Immersion oil of Neem leaf powder which sifted using 80 mesh sieve has blackish green color, concentrated and characteristic odor of neem and specific gravity of 0.907 g / ml. Keyword : Neem Leaf, Powder Size, Immersion, Olive Oil, Organoleptic. ABSTRAK Nimba (Azadirachta indica) dikenal sebagai anti insektisida yang dapat berpengaruh pada kurang lebih 400 jenis serangga. Nimba banyak tumbuh di indonesia dan mudah dijumpai sehingga digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai insektidsida nabati. Metode pengolahan secara sederhana pada pemanfaatan daun mimba diperlukan sehingga dapat dengan mudah diterapkan oleh masyarakat. Perlakuan pendahuluan yang dapat dilakukan sebelum dilakukan perendaman salah satunya pengecilan ukuran partikel (penggilingan). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran serbuk terhadap karakteristik fisik minyak rendaman daun Nimba. Dengan mengamati hasil rendaman dalam minyak zaitun serbuk Nimba yang telah diayak menggunakan ayakan 40, 60 dan 80 mseh. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan ukuran serbuk mempengaruhi warna, kejernihan dan aroma minyak hasil rendaman. Ukuran serbuk juga berpengaruh secara bermakna pada bobot jenis hasil rendaman. Minyak rendaman serbuk daun Nimba yang diayak menggunakan ayakan 80 mesh memiliki warna hijau kehitaman, pekat dan bau khas nimba serta bobot jenis sebesar 0,907 g/ml. Abstract

One of the plants that has long been used as a traditional medicine is neem (Azadirachta indica). The medicinal plants used are usually in the form of simplicia (plant material that has not undergone any processing and is generally in the form of dried material). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of drying temperature variations on the manufacture of neem (Azadirachta indica) leaf simplicia. This research is a type of research that is a laboratory experimental study with samples of neem leaves from the village of Sumberejo, Banyuputih District, Situbondo Regency. Drying uses the direct sun drying method, the drying method with direct sunlight is covered using a black cloth and drying using the oven method with temperature variations of 45 ℃, 50 ℃, 60 ℃. The results showed that the drying method affected the quality of neem leaf simplicia. Drying using an oven with a temperature variation of 45 ℃ and 50 ℃ is good drying because the results are bright green leaf color, tasteless, a distinctive smell of neem leaves, curved lancet-shaped leaves, jagged leaf edges, brittle when held, there is a distinctive smell. Keywords: Neem Leaves, Temperature, Simplicia ABSTRAK Salah satu tanaman yang telah lama digunakan sebagai obat tradisional adalah mimba (Azadirachta indica). Tanaman obat yang digunakan biasanya dalam bentuk simplisia (bahan tumbuhan yang belum mengalami pengolahan apapun dan umumnya berupa bahan yang dikeringkan). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi suhu pengeringan terhadap pembuatan simplisia daun mimba (Azadirachta indica). Penelitian ini merupakan Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental laboratorium dengan sampel daun mimba berasal dari daerah Desa Sumberejo Kecamatan Banyuputih Kabupaten Situbondo. Pengeringan menggunakan metode pengeringan matahari langsung, metode pengeringan dengan sinar matahari langsung ditutup menggunakan kain hitam dan pengeringan menggunakan metode oven dengan variasi suhu 45℃, 50℃, 60℃. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pengeringan berpengaruh terhadap mutu simplisia daun mimba. Pengeringan menggunakan oven dengan variasi suhu 45℃ dan 50℃ merupakan pengeringan yang baik karena didapat hasil warna daun hijau cerah, tidak berasa, bau khas daun mimba, daun berbentuk memanjang lanset bengkok, tepi daun bergerigi, rapuh saat digenggam, terdapat bau khas. Abstract

Betel is a medicinal plant that has the main chemical content which gives the betel leaf the characteristic characteristic of being essential oil. The extraction process using maceration technique is carried out by shaking several times or stirring at room temperature. The advantage of this method is easy and does not need heating so that natural materials are less likely to be damaged or decomposed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of maceration time (immersion) on the viscosity of betel leaf extract (Piper betle). The design of this research is quantitative descriptive, which describes the comparison of maceration extracts at different times. The results then calculate the yield. The sample used in this study is betel plant grown in the Green House Pharmacy at Ibrahimy University. Based on the results of the extraction of betel leaf maceration, the highest yield value was seen in the treatment with a soaking time of 72 hours, namely 8.15%. The average yield value of maceration extraction was 7.83%. ABSTRAK Sirih merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman obat yang memiliki kandungan kimia khas sebagai ciri utama daun sirih ialah minyak atsiri. Proses ekstraksi secara maserasi dilakukan dalam beberapa kali pengocokan atau pengadukan pada suhu ruang. Maserasi dipilih karena mudah dan tidak perlu pemanasan sehingga kecil kemungkinan bahan alam menjadi rusak atau terurai. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui pengaruh lama waktu maserasi (perendaman) terhadap kekentalan ekstrak daun sirih (Piper betle). Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yaitu menggambarkan hasil perbandingan ekstrak maserasi pada waktu yang berbeda. Hasil selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan persentase rendemen. Sampel yang digunakan merupakan tanaman sirih yang ditanam di Green House Farmasi Universitas Ibrahimy. Berdasarkan hasil ektraksi maserasi daun sirih didapatkan nilai rendemen tertinggi nampak pada waktu perendaman 72 jam yaitu 8.15%. Adapun nilai rendemen rata-rata hasil ekstraksi maserasi sebesar 7,83 %.

Abstract

Meniran (Phylantus niruri L) is a plant that clinically has efficacy as an immunodulator (Immune System Enhancer) with the active compound Filantin. In this study, meniran extract was formulated into yogurt as a health drink with a concentration of 10 g/100 ml. The purpose of this study is to see the recovery rate of patients who experience symptoms of cough and cold who are hospitalized at the As'asdiyah Clinic. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there were differences in the rate of healing in patients with meniran yogurt which showed faster healing compared to patients without meniran yogurt. ABSTRAK Meniran (Phylantus niruri L) merupakan tanaman yang secara klinis memiliki khasiat sebagai imunodulator (peningkat sistem imun) dengan senyawa aktif Filantin. Pada penelitian ini ekstrak meniran di formulasikan ke dalam yogurt sebagai minuman kesehatan dengan konsentrasi 10 gr/100 ml. Tujuan dari penelitian ini aialah untuk melihat tingkat kesembuhan pasien yang mengalami gejala batuk pilek yang dirawat inap di Klinik As’asdiyah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat terdapat perbedaan tingkat kesembuhan pada pasien dengan pemberian yogurt meniran yang tunjukkan dengan penyembuhan yang lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan pasien tanpa pemberian yogurt meniran.

Abstract

The use of nutritious plants as breast milk launches (Breast Milk) has been known for a long time by the people of Arjasa District of Situbondo Regency of East Java. The use of these plants has been used for a long time and hereditary from generation to generation. But over time public knowledge related to the efficacy of plants as breast milk launches began to be rare and only known by a certain group of people.his study aims to find out and document plants that are efficacious as breast milk launchers located in Arjasa. This study uses interview methods and field exploration with cruise methods. The results of the observations obtained are in the form of family and type, indonesian name, regional name, habitus, plant parts used and how to concoct. Based on the results of observations obtained the results of 15 types of medicinal plants that are used by the arjasa subdistrict community as breast milk launches. With the most habitus is trees and perdu, the part of the plant that is widely used is the leaves and the most widely used processing method is boiled as a dish or as a herbal drink.

Abstract

The use of efficacious plants as breast milk has been known for a long time by the people of Arjasa District Situbondo Regency The use of these plants has been used for a long time and passed down from generation to generation. However, with the passage of time, public knowledge related to the efficacy of plants as breast milk carriers has begun to become scarce and is only known by a certain group of people. The purpose of this community service activity (PKM) is to socialize to the community about plants that can be used as breast milk carriers based on the results of previous ethnobotany studies. PKM activities carried out in the form of socialization to breastfeeding mothers and productive mothers as many as 20 people. The results of the PKM stated that 100% of the socialization participants stated that this activity was very beneficial to the participants, especially in terms of knowledge about the use of herbal plants as breast milk promoters

Abstract

Quercetin merupakan suatu senyawa flavonoid polifenol yang memiliki berbagai aktifitas biologis bagi kesehatan. Quercetin termasuk dalam senyawa BCS Kelas II dan memiliki kelarutan dalam air sebesar 4,5 ug/ml. Dengan rendahnya solubilitas quercetin maka diperlukan system pembawa yang mampu meningkatkan solubilitas quercetin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi Span 60 terhadap karakteristik sistem niosom quercetin. Niosom dibuat dengan metode Reverse Phase Evaporation (RPE) dalam tiga formula F1, F2 dan F3 dengan perbedaan konsentrasi Span 60 berturut-turut yaitu 6%, 8,74% dan 10%. Niosom yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi meliputi uji organoleptis (bau, warna dan konsistensi), uji pH, uji morfologi dan ukuran partikel menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Hasil dari uji organoleptis sistem niosom kuersetin yaitu memiliki tekstur yang lembut, warna kuning muda, konsistensi kental dan berbau khas quercetin. Uji pH menunjukkan pH F1 (6,0±0), F2 (6,2±0) dan F3 (6,06±0,12). Hasil uji morfologi niosom berbentuk bulatan sedangkan ukuran partikel pada formula niosom F1 (1,544 µm), F2 (1,847 µm) dan F3 (2,560 µm).

Abstract

Of all the cities/regencies in East Java, there are 15 districts that have met the target, while 23 other districts/cities have not yet reached the target. Overall, the achievement of the province of East Java has not been able to meet the target set in 2016 which is 50%. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the use, perceived effectiveness and perceived side effects of using galactagogues as a breastmilk booster. This study used a cross-sectional method. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a total of 32 respondents. The results showed that the galactagogue used was 100% herbal galactagogue. The use of galactagogue gave the highest increase in milk production by 21.14% with signs that the baby was not satisfied. The side effects that arise in breastfeeding mothers when using galactagogues are that 55.88% of respondents said they did not experience side effects, 38.23% said they experienced side effects of weight gain, and 2.94% experienced side effects of drowsiness and weakness.
