Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigated the relationship between emotional intelligence, social support and occupational stress at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. The approach used to this study is quantitative correlational. The study participants were 132 of resident doctors of three departement: surgical, obgyn, and anesthesia. They were selected, making use of total sampling technique. The participants were administrated three questionnaires: emotional intelligence questionnaire, social support questionnaire, and occupational stress questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis was applied as a statistical test to analyze the data. According to results revealed coefficient Freg = 9,682 ( p < 0,05 ). The findings revealed that there was a significant relationship between emotional intelligence,  social  support  and  occupational stress at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. The value of emotional intelligence and occupational stress amounts to -0,184 ( p < 0,05 ), it shows that as a emotional intelligence increase, occupational stress will decrease. Subsequently, The value of social support and occupational stress amounts to -0,268 ( p < 0,05 ), it shows that as a social support increases, occupational stress also will decrease.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with correlation method. The purpose of this research is to see the correlation between workload and burnout. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive and significant correlation between workload and burnout. The population of this research is 60 teachers with a sample of 60 teachers. The technique used in determining the sample is the total sampling technique. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, it can be seen that the significance value of the workload variable with burnout is 0.000 <0.05. This explains that there is a significant correlation between workload and teacher burnout. The Pearson correlation value obtained between workload and burnout is 0.483. This explains that the workload and burnout variables have a positive correlation with a fairly strong correlation coefficient. The value of the determinant coefficient obtained is equal to 23.4%. Based on the value of the determinant coefficient, it can be seen that the effect of workload on burnout is 23.4% and the remaining 76.6% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan konflik peran dengan stress kerja. Metode yang digunakan metode kuantitatif korelasi dengan jumlah populasi 43 dan sampel 43 karyawan. Teknik sampel yang digunakan teknik total sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu skala konflik peran dan skala stress kerja dengan model skala likert. Teknik analisis penelitian ini adalah Korelasi Pearson Product moment. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi product moment terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara konflik peran dengan stress kerja pada karyawan generasi strawberry dengan nilai signifikansi variabel konflik peran dan stress kerja sebesar 0,003 0,05.  Nilai Pearson correlation yang diperoleh antara konflik peran dengan stress kerja sebesar 0,642. Hal tersebut menjelaskan bahwa variabel konflik peran dengan stress kerja memiliki korelasi yang positif dengan koefisien korelasi yang kuat. Nilai koefisien determinan yang didapat yaitu 0,412 atau sebesar 41,2% pengaruh konflik peran terhadap stress kerja. Berdasarkan nilai koefisien determinan dapat diketahui bahwa pengaruh konflik peran terhadap stress kerja sebesar 41,2% dan 58,8% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
