Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the inflation rate and find out the strategy of the agricultural sector to deal with inflation of food crops in Central Lampung Regency. Data on superior crops of food crops refers to the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia number 830/Kpts/Rc.040/12/2016, namely cassava, corn, soybeans, and rice. This study was analyzed using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation Rate. The form of the agricultural sector strategy in order to deal with inflation of food crops is created from the results of the FGD.  Factors that influence the inflation rate in terms of production (supply) in Central Lampung Regency are high production costs, increases in prices of agricultural production facilities, rising labor costs, high distribution costs of agricultural products, inadequate infrastructure, weather and pest attacks plant diseases, and slow innovation in agriculture. The strategy of the agricultural sector in Central Lampung Regency is through intensification, extensification and rehabilitation programs that focus on agricultural innovation activities including: using superior varieties adapted to regional conditions, using irrigation systems (SRI), developing supply chain management systems, institutional engineering innovations and partnership, setting reference prices for superior agricultural commodities, using special planting machines for grains, processing cow manure into organic fertilizers, special efforts to increase production and increase in rice, corn, soybean, cassava, new paddy field printing programs, and optimal use of fertilizers.  Keywords: inflation, agricultural sector, strategy

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze the production performance, added value, and profit of chips agroindustry.  Respondents were the owner and employees of agroindustry.  The method used was a case study at Keripik Bude Agroindustry in North Lampung District.  The study uses primary data from interviews and direct observations, as well as secondary data quoted from government agencies.  The analytical methods used are analysis of production performance, analysis of added value and profit.  Production performance of the chips agroindustry which includes productivity, capacity, quality, flexibility, and process rapidity overall have been maximized.  The added value of processing cassava chips has a positive value of IDR12,477.07/kg of cassava raw materials and the added value of processing banana chips is IDR8,154.87/kg of banana raw materials, so the business run by the agroindustry is profitable.  The total profit from selling cassava chips and banana chips is IDR514,562.50 per production or IDR5,145,625.00 per month, so this business is profitable. Key words: added value, production performance, profit

Abstract

This study aims to determine the provision of porang farming production facilities, porang farming income, porang processing, porang marketing, and services that support porang agribusiness activities.  This study uses a survey method.  The research location was deliberately chosen in Hanura Village as the center for porang production.  The research was conducted in March-April 2022.  Respondents in this study were porang farmers, porang traders, and providers of porang production facilities.  The selection of 20 porang farmers used a purposive sampling method.  Determination of respondent traders and suppliers of Porang inputs used the snowball method.  Data were analyzed using criteria 6 T, R/C, marketing channel, marketing margin, and farmer’s share.  The results showed that if the provision of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural tools has met criteria 6 correctly.  The total income obtained from porang farming is Rp75,647,290 per hectares with R/C for a total cost of 3.41, meaning that porang farming is profitable.  Farmers have not yet processed porang tubers into semi-finished raw materials or other derivative products. Porang farmers only processed porang tubers only through harvesting, collecting, sorting and storage.  Porang marketing in Hanura Village consists of one marketing channel and is efficient with a farmer's share of 81,25 percent. Services that support porang agribusiness are farmer groups, financial institutions, extension agencies, transportation, government regulations, and agricultural shops.  Key words:  agribusiness, farming, marketing, porang.
