Abstract

The problem in this research is "Can Student’s Learning Outcomes in the Material of “Sifat-sifat Cahaya” be improved through Demonstration Methods in Class V Situraja Elementary School?". While the purpose of this study was to improve student’s learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school Situraja about the material of “Sifat-sifat Cahaya” through the demonstration method, with the action hypothesis "If the teacher uses the demonstration method, student learning outcomes about “Sifat-sifat Cahaya” in class V SD Negeri Situraja Situraja will increase more. The results showed that student learning outcomes have increased. This can be seen in the learning cycle I obtained data from 34 students. There are 13 students who have not yet completed or 38.23%, and 21 students who have completed or 61.77%. While in the second cycle increased where there were 3 students who were not yet complete or 8.82% and those who had finished were 31 students or 91.18%. From the results of research and discussion conducted, the authors submit that by using a demonstration method of student learning outcomes in class V SD Situraja about “Sifat-sifat Cahaya” increase.
