Abstract

This service aims to provide online learning guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic which was carried out at the Permata Harapan Vocational School in Batam. This training was carried out for 4 meetings using the zoom application. Community service activities in the form of educational development for Permata Harapan Vocational High School students can provide benefits by applying the methods of implementing training activities, discussions and questions and answers. This service was attended by Mr. Miftahul Ilmi and Mrs. Lolita as teachers at Permata Harapan school and also attended by 20 students. The results obtained from this activity are: the ability of students to the digital world increases, especially for the applications used and the available tools. Students also feel they have a high curiosity to understand the applications used and are interested in the menus offered. The ability to adapt to the online learning system is very necessary for current conditions, where the presenter also conveys motivation to students to continue to be able to follow the lesson well.

Abstract

PT. X adalah Manufaktur Valve, Accuator dan Accessories. PT. X mengalami kesulitan dalam memenuhi pesanan pesanan karena proses setting produk Main Steam terlalu lama sehingga kapasitas produksinya rendah, sehingga perlu dilakukan perancangan Jig pada proses setting produk Main Steam agar dapat mengeliminasi waktu pengerjaan setting. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bagian produksi dengan menggunakan metode analisis Quality Function Deployment. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Voice of Costumer yang berguna untuk mengetahui ketertarikan perusahaan, atribut produk dan respon teknis guna menghilangkan set up time yang lama sehingga tercapai kapasitas produksi. Setelah tahapan tersebut selesai, dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan metode QFD. Identifikasi quality deployment function (QFD) sebagai salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pelanggan dan menghubungkan kebutuhan tersebut dengan desain produk. PT. X berhasil memangkas waktu setting dengan metode QFD untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi.

Abstract

Despite the significance of mask use, there is still a lack of understanding among Indonesians, with youngsters adhering to the wearing of masks at a rate of 51.6%. The causes include heat, irritability, pain, difficulty breathing, social rejection, and improper mask size and form. One of the ergonomics-related issues is the shape and size of the mask, so one solution is to use anthropometric data while designing the mask. In this study, groups of kids between the ages of 6 and 11 were recruited to redesign masks based on their anthropometric measurements. According to the findings, the distances between the nose's tip and the lower jaw joint (T), the tip of the nose and the rear of the ear bone (U), the nose's distance from the chin (C), and the distance between the eyes and the chin were utilized as anthropometric measurements in the construction of the mask. (B). The mask's size is determined. The mask's length without the strap is 11.16 cm, its length with the strap is 14.53 cm, the central mask's width is 7.02 cm, and the mask's total width is 13.70 cm. The size of the mask from the study and the size of the mask currently on the market differ after measurements were taken into account for anthropometric data

Abstract

This study aims to provide suggestions for improvements to the layout of the Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises so that a more optimal layout is obtained in terms of track distance, simpler material flow, material handling costs, and designing rest areas for workers in the Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises. The Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises are required to make the track distance shorter and material handling costs cheaper. The necessary data was collected by conducting interviews with business owners and making direct observations at the Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises. This study used the Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Techniques (CRAFT) method. The results of the analysis using the CRAFT method show that the proposed layout has an alternative OMH layout of Rp.1,464,676.5, while the initial layout is Rp. 2,831,368.1, resulting in a difference of Rp. 1,366,691.6. The total distance of the initial layout is 269,654 m, while the alternative distance is 139,493 m with a difference of 130,161 m. From the results of the comparison, it is found that the difference between the initial layout and the alternative layout is so large that it is necessary to apply the alternative layout to make production more optimal.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi mesin linting rokok dan mesin pengemas rokok. Keadaan tata letak fasilitas di PT XYZ saat ini tidak berdasarkan suatu perancangan tata letak yang efisien sehingga menjadi penghambat pergerakan pekerja dalam menjalankan tugasnya dan membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk proses pengambilan dan pengeluaran material di warehouse. Dengan menggunakan metode class based storage dalam pemaksimalan kapasitas warehouse diharapkan dapat menentukan penempatan material yang efisien berdasarkan tingkat akitivitas pemasukan dan pengeluaran setiap material yang ada di warehouse. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan frekuensi perpindahan material dikelompokkan menjadi kelas A yang terdiri dari 2 material, kelas B yang terdiri dari 5 material serta kelas C yang terdiri dari 7 material. Berdasarkan perancangan ulang tata letak warehouse dapat menambah kapasitas warehouse sebesar 26,55%, penurunan jarak perpindahan material sebesar 28,97%, serta memperkecil ongkos material handling dan penataan sparepart electric menjadi lebih efisien.
