Abstract

Stressful early life experiences may cause traumatic experience across the lifespan. The aim of this study was to explore a CSA female victim’s lived-experience. Interviews were conducted with this 13-year-old girl, N, using a case study approach. N was still a young child (seven years old) when her uncle started to rape her, and when she was 10 years old, her father raped her. Since her childhood, she has experienced complex and widespread consequences such as vaginal and abdominal pain, shivering, sleeping problems, digestive problems, back problems, emotional and cognitive problems such as she was thinking to commit suicide, scared that her uncle and father will come to her, dissociation, study problems and isolation. N’s situation, might reflect similar problems in other female CSA victims.

Abstract

‘I Care, You Deserve’ Module is a module for pedophilia victims. This module has been developed based on the research findings on the effects of pedophilia to the victims. This module includes four main aspects which are spiritual, cognitive, emotion and behaviour. Pre and post-module on the psychological well-being level has been done to test the effectiveness of the module application. The result shows that this module is helpful in providing improvement to the victims for their well-being.

Abstract

This research objective to: (1) describe the design of Module counseling postdisaster (2) perform the module validity test and (3) perform the module reliability test. This study is a descriptive study involving 4 experts and 12 counselors from several areas in West Sumatra as the subject of trials. Instrument used includes (1) instrument validity content of module (2) Inventory training knowledge improvement counseling service for post disaster (3) Inventory of proficiency of post disaster counseling service (4) reliability module instrument (5) training session instrument. The result of this study reveals the post-disease counseling module can be accepted and can be used for self awareness program, knowledge and counselor competence in doing conscience post disaster event. It is expected that this module can be used by counselors and developed by advanced researchers.
