Abstract

The development of technology has changed the lives of the world as well as counseling. Counseling is not only face to face (FTF) in a confined space, but it can be done through distance format in assistive technology that online counseling. Counseling is an integral part of e-counseling services. Various applications have been developed to support the implementation of BK in Indonesia, as well as with use of other technologies that can support the implementation of guidance and counseling services. E-counseling services in general and in particular online counseling are an alternative attempt to do by counselors in an effort to prevent, reduce and eliminate the problem. Counselors should have a mastery of the technology and has a minimum competency in the administration of e-counseling services, at least insights about e-counseling services. This article will present a variety of things with regard to e-counseling service specifically about online counseling

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to reveal whether the guidance and counseling module for the management of academic stress of students eligible materially and appearance, and to describe the usefulness level guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress by counselor. The method used in this research is model ADDIE. Research carried out by testing product research and FGD. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress can be used as a media in the service guidance and counseling in school. Thus, prototype of guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress can be used by the counselor to help a student in academic stress anticipate in the learning process.

Abstract

This study purpose to describe the level of loneliness teenagers in orphanages X Padang city in refer of (1) emotional loneliness, (2) social loneliness, (3) existential loneliness, (4) representational loneliness. The kind of research is descriptive research with quantitative methods. The subject of the study was 32 teenagers who lived in the orphanage X. The instrument used was a lonely teenager scale level. Descriptive analysis with a percentage formula to describe the level of adolescent loneliness. The research findings revealed that (1) the level of lonely teenagers in orphanages X as a whole are generally in middle category (47%), (2) the level of emotional loneliness teenagers at the orphanage X in general are in the medium category (38%), ( 3) the level of social loneliness teenagers in orphanages X in general are in the medium category (34%), (4) the level of existential loneliness teenagers in the orphanage X in general are in the low category (41%), and (5) the level of representational loneliness teenagers in the orphanage X in general are in the medium category (31%). The study recommends to caregivers and administrators of institutions to pay more attention and to understand the problems associated with feelings of teenagers in orphanages and more attention to the psychological needs of adolescents as the need for love, attention, adolescent communication with their families and social needs of adolescents as developing social skills of teenagers. And need counseling services to prevent and cope with feelings of loneliness that arise in adolescents who live in an orphanage.

Abstract

Adolescence is the period of interest due to their properties and its role in determining the life of society. The one that affects its development is self-esteem. Self-esteem is formed through the interaction of individuals with their environment. One family environment, if the environment providing something fun, self-esteem would be positive, but if its not fun and self-esteem will be negative, further support parents, parental control, and relationship to each other between the parents give a direct influence on the development of adolescent self-esteem. This article will expose further the importance of the role of the family in developing the self-esteem of teenage.

Abstract

The global Covid-19 pandemic has affected changes in various dimensions of life. In Indonesia, schools have adopted a policy of replacing face-to-face learning in schools with distance learning activities. The effect that occurs with learning activities at home is a decrease in healthy living behavior among students. This study aims to examine the effect of solution-focused brief counseling implemented through LMS Schoology to improve students’ healthy living behavior. This experimental study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. Of the 60 students who took part in the initial screening with the criteria for experiencing a healthy lifestyle disorder, only 15 students met the criteria. The Indonesian version of the Inventory Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile [HPLP II] was used to measure students’ health behavior before and after participating in the intervention. The scale of acceptability, accessibility, feasibility (AAF) measured student responses to the acceptability and usefulness of the program. Analysis of research data related to the effect of an intervention on students’ healthy living behavior using a one-sample t-test. Student response data on the acceptability and usefulness of the program through descriptive analysis. The results showed that after participating in the program for an average of 8 weeks (an average of 16 LMS accesses), participants achieved a significant improvement in their average lifestyle and health (HPLP). The effect size of Cohen’s high d value shows a large effect size for this counseling program. AAF data also supports this result, with an average of 95% of students understanding the program and being able to implement it well, is accessible, and provides benefits for them. This research has theoretical and practical implications for guidance and counseling services in schools related to various dynamics that occur, including the condition of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Abstrak. Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi secara global memberikan dampak terhadap perubahan berbagai dimensi kehidupan. Di Indonesia, sekolah mengambil kebijakan dengan mengganti pembelajaran tatap muka di sekolah dengan kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Salah satu dampak yang terjadi dengan aktivitas pembelajaran di rumah adalah penurunan perilaku hidup sehat di kalangan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh konseling singkat berfokus solusi yang dilaksanakan melalui LMS Schoology untuk meningkatkan perilaku hidup sehat siswa. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan rancangan one group pretest-posttest. Dari 60 siswa yang mengikuti screening awal dengan kriteria dialaminya gangguan perilaku hidup sehat, hanya 15 siswa yang memenuhi kriteria. Inventory Health- Promoting Lifestyle Profile [HPLP II] versi Bahasa Indonesia digunakan untuk mengukur perilaku hidup sehat siswa sebelum dan setelah mengikuti intervensi. Respon siswa terhadap keberterimaan dan kebermanfaatan program diukur dengan skala acceptability, accessibility, feasibility (AAF). Analisis data penelitian terkait pengaruh intervensi terhadap perilaku hidup sehat siswa menggunakan one sample t-test. Data respon siswa terhadap keberterimaan dan kebermanfaatan program melalui analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setelah mengikuti program selama rata-rata 8 minggu (rata-rata 16 kali akses LMS), partisipan mencapai peningkatan rata-rata gaya hidup dan kesehatan (HPLP) yang signifikan. Effect size dari nilai d oleh Cohen yang tinggi menunjukkan ukuran pengaruh yang besar dari program konseling ini. Data AAF juga mendukung hasil ini yaitu rata-rata 95% partisipan menyatakan bahwa program dapat dipahami dan dilaksanakan dengan baik, mudah diakses, serta memberikan bermanfaat bagi mereka. Penelitian ini berimplikasi secara teoritis dan praktis terhadap inovasi pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah terkait dengan berbagai dinamika yang terjadi, termasuk kondisi Pandemic Covid-19

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai kondisi kecemasan lansia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih (PSTW) Sicincin dilihat dari (1) respon fisiologis, (2) respon perilaku, (3) respon kognitif, (4) respon afektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif, dengan sampel 52 orang lansia, pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala pengukuran kondisi kecemasan lansia (SPKKL). Analisis deskriptif menggunakan rumus persentase untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi kecemasan lansia. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kondisi kecemasan lansia secara keseluruhan pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (44%), (2) ditinjau dari respon fisiologis pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (38%), (3) ditinjau dari respon perilaku pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (40%), (4) ditinjau dari respon kognitif pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (46%), (5) ditinjau dari respon afektif pada umumnya berada pada kategori sedang (46%).

Abstract

This research is aimed at identifying the level of resilience of high school student’s post-disaster in West Sumatera. This research is descriptive quantitative, with the total sample of 1143 students by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used is TIRI. The data are analyzed descriptively with the analysis of the level of resilience in percentage, using SPSS version 20.00. The Result of the research reveals that the condition of the students’ resilience is high. The result showed that in general male students are at high category and female students are also at high category of resilience, still there are significant differences of the students’ resilience based on gender. The research suggests more efforts are needed to improve the condition of the students’ resilience on certain aspects to be more optimal.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of guidance and counseling students who feel anxious in preparing a essay. Anxiety is an unpleasant emotion that is characterized by worries and helplessness towards something that will happen in the future. The purpose of the reasearch was to describe the level of anxiety of guidance and counseling students in compiling the essay. Type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were 27 students. Data were analyzed by percentage techniques. The research findings reveal the level of anxiety of guidance and counseling students in compiling the essay is in the high category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan desain modul konseling pasca bencana (2) melakukan tes validitas modul dan (3) melakukan tes reliabilitas modul. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif melibatkan 4 orang ahli dan 12 orang konselor dari beberapa daerah di Sumatera Barat sebagai subjek uji coba. Instrument yang digunakan mencakup (1) Instrumen Pengujian Validitas Isi Modul (2) Penilaian Pelatihan Peningkatan Pengetahuan Pelayanan Konseling pasca bencana (3) Penilaian Kemahiran Pelayanan Konseling pasca bencana (4) Instrumen Keterandalan Modul (5) Instrumen Sesi Pelatihan dan. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan Modul Konseling Mental Pasca Bencana dapat diterima dan dapat digunakan untuk program peningkatan kesadaran diri, pengetahuan dan kompetensi konselor dalam melakukan konseling pasca bencana. Diharapkan modul ini dapat digunakan oleh konselor dan dikembangkan oleh peneliti lanjut.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low condition of empathy shown by the students of guidance and counseling study program in college X. Meanwhile, empathy is one of the basic skills that should be possessed by a counselor. This study aims to describe the condition of empathy of students of guidance and counseling study program in college X. This study used descriptive approach, with a sample of 77 people selected by simple random sampling technique. The instruments used are Gina Empathy Scale (GE-S) with Alpha Cronbach 0.829. The Data obtained was analyzed by SPSS for windows release 20.0. Research findings illustrated that empathy of students in general were at medium category. Based on the research findings, it was suggested for lecturers of students of Guidance and Counseling study program to help them to improve empathy, as well as for students to be able to improve the empathy for the better, as empathy is an integral part of candidate counselor’s personality. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kondisi rendahnya empati yang ditampilkan oleh mahasiswa Prodi BK PT X. Sedangkan, empati merupakan salah satu keterampilan dasar yang harus dimiliki konselor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kondisi empati mahasiswa Prodi BK PT X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, dengan sampel 77 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Gina Empathy Scale (GE-S) dengan AlphaCronbach 0.829. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows release 20.0. Temuan penelitian menggambarkan bahwa empati mahasiswa secara umum berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian disarankan bagi dosen Prodi BK PT X untuk gayomi mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan empati, serta bagi mahasiswa BK Prodi BK PT X agar mampu meningkatkan empati menjadi lebih baik, karena empati merupakan bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari kepribadian calon konselor.
