Abstract

This article discuss the history of translating Bibles from Greek into Arabic. Translation itself is an attempt to spread the Word of God to the whole world and facilitate the translation of these sacred texts. One of the prominent things in this translation is the form of God's expression. God's expression uses the 'Allah' lexicon in which the lexicon is often understood as a limited lexicon for the mention of God in Islam. This discussion will use Eugene Nida's translation theory regarding general translation rules. The Biblical translation theory uses a theory initiated by Glen G Scorgie, Mark L Strauss, and Steven M Voth regarding the challenge of communicating God's language into human language. The results of the study indicate that this translation movement has been carried out since the Umayyad period and was renewed in modern times by the Missionaries. The use of the God lexicon is an attempt to bring the term in the Bible closer to Arabic culture.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendefinisikan Pragmatisme Charles Peirce dan kaitannya dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dalam tradisi intelektual Islam, khususnya dalam ranah kalam dan filsafat. Perubahan logika berpikir dalam filsafat kontemporer yang dibawa oleh pragmatisme mensyaratkan adanya hubungan dinamis antara keyakinan dan keraguan untuk mendorong the logic of inquiry. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa tradisi intelektual Islam juga membawa semangat kemajuan dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Keraguan yang muncul dari berbagai pernyataan yang timbul mendorong para ilmuwan muslim untuk mengkritisi dan melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut sehingga memberikan kontribusi keilmuan bagi keilmuan keislaman. Berbagai model pengembangan keilmuan mulai dari corak positivistik, falsifikasi, revolusi pengetahuan, hingga metode program riset saintifik memberikan wacana dalam pengembangan keilmuan Islam, baik di ranah kalam maupun fisafat Islam.

Abstract

This article attempts to analyze Indonesia's geopolitical policies in accommodating sharia-based economic and tourism policies. The object of this research is the policy around Muslim-Friendly Tourism (MFT). The tourism sector as one of the largest foreign exchange earners for Indonesia accommodates tourism trends in Muslim-populated countries. This study attempts to analyze the relationship between tourism and Indonesia's international geopolitical policies that involve religious elements, both in macro and micro level. In this study, the researchers found that at the macro level, the government at the national and regional levels provides policies and regulations related to the management and development of MFT. This is driven by phenomena at the micro level related to economic and socio-political aspects. The economic aspect which is dominated by the trend of consumerism of halal products and the socio-political aspect which is dominated by the spirit of Islamic populism in some areas needs to be accommodated by government regulations as a strategy to strengthen the integrity and sovereignty of the nation.
