ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah motivasi kerja dan kompetensi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah, pertama, ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja, variabel motivasi kerja lebih terlihat dari rasa aman dengan nilai loading faktor sebesar 0,87 dan terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi berpengaruh positif sangat signifikan terhadap kinerja, variabel kompetensi lebih terlihat dari pengetahuan. Kedua ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif tapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan, variabel motivasi kerja lebih terlihat dari aktualisasi diri dan terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan, variabel kompetensi lebih terlihat dari keterampilan. Ketiga ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif tapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga pendidik, variabel motivasi kerja lebih terlihat dari rasa aman dan terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja, kompetensi lebih terlihat dari pengetahuan.Kata kunci :Motivasi,kompetensi, Kinerja, Tenaga Pendidik, Tenaga Kependidikan, Universitas Kaltara ABSTRACT51The purpose of this study was to determine whether work motivation and competence affect the performance of teaching staff and education personnel.
