Abstract

During the pandemic, there are still many people in Pasar Bengkulu Village who do not work, where housewives should be able to use their free time more productively. Based on observations made in Pasar Bengkulu Village, many housewives who have been in the business of selling souvenirs in tourist areas, just don't develop it. Most housewives who have tried small businesses eventually close their businesses. If housewives have clear and systematic financial management and sales bookkeeping skills, then the side business of selling souvenirs that have been carried out so far is expected to run more smoothly and develop. The Master of Applied Economics at the University of Bengkulu conducted Community Service (PKM) activities in Pasar Bengkulu Village, Sungai Serut District, Bengkulu in the period July-November 2021. This PKM succeeded in attracting the interest of 30 activity participants to start implementing financial planning patterns and making business reports so that financial households are getting better and better.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of HDI, Gini Ratio, life expectancy, and economic growth on district and city poverty in Aceh Province in 2018–2022. This research uses quantitative data. 32 districts or cities were the sample for this research. using types of secondary data sourced from BPS. The analysis was carried out using the panel data regression method selected by REM. HDI, Gini Ratio, and AHH, as well as economic growth, have an effect of 73% (R2 = 0.732320) and can explain the elements that contribute to poverty in districts and cities in Aceh Province. HDI has a negative and significant effect with a coefficient of -0.628582 and a probability of 0.0000<0.05. The Gini ratio with a coefficient of 3.025394 and a prob of 0.01720.05<0.05 has a positive and significant effect; AHH has a coefficient of 0.063478 with a prob value of 0.75>0.05, which is not significant; and the economic growth coefficient is 0.053672 with a prob of 0.0001<0.05, which means it has a negative and significant effect on poverty in the districts and cities of Aceh Province.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to learn how the index development of humans in North Sumatra province in 2015–2021 was affected by the regional minimum wage, population poverty, shopping education, and shopping health. Panel data is used. In this analysis, index development is used as a variable, whereas regional minimum wage, population poverty, shopping education, and shopping health are variables. For do analysis, the E-Views 13 program was used for do analysis regression multiple. The study's findings show that variable regional minimum wages are positively and significantly correlated to index human development, whereas variable resident poverty is negatively and significantly correlated. Otherwise, no. There is a significant correlation between index development and variable shopping education and health. As a result, policy planning for sustainable development is a must.

Abstract

Poverty indicates a population's inability to meet average minimum needs. This study aims to analyze the impact of inflation, government spending, population, and wages on poverty in Sumatra Island. This observation is quantitative research and auxiliary data in the form of time series data using panel data from 2017 to 2021 in as many as ten provinces with panel data analysis, which is assisted by the Eviews 12 application. Based on the panel results, it is concluded that the variables of inflation, government spending, and wages significantly positively affect poverty in Sumatra. In contrast, population has no impact on poverty in Sumatra.

Abstract

Beringin Raya has a vulnerability to the spread of the covid-19. This is because Beringin Raya come from various regions, especially boarding house residents, this area is the entrance to Bengkulu City which is directly adjacent to Mukomuko to West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this activity is as an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 in the Beringin Raya Village and to support government programs in overcoming the Covid-19. The activity is in the form of socialization about California papaya cultivation which has benefits for the health (nutrition) of the residents of the Beringin Raya Village. The results that the community in Beringin Raya understands and uses the California Papaya as a medicinal plant in preventing the spread of the covid-19.
