Abstract

AbstractAdministrators at Kalibuntung Touristy Village feel that their ability and knowledge in management and tourism are very limited, therefore, it is necessary to conduct a workshop to enhance the quality of the administratos. After the participant obtained the material from the workshop, it is hoped that their skill and knowledge about management and marketing are improved. The method employed was initiated by a program socialization to create a communication as well as to help enhance the participants’ skill about the importance of the management system in developing touristy village. Administrators along with team identify and study the problems, the potencies and chances which then arranged in a plan and implemented as workshops aiming to improve the ability of the participants in comprehending the issues of management and tourism in enhancing the touristy village and to give practical experience in accordance with the latest development. Workshops materials’ are namely Management Workshop, Tourism Marketing Workshop, and Blog Management Workshop. Monitoring and evaluation are conducted to monitor all workshops, both the process of implementation and the expected results so they could be well elaborated as stated in the initial objective. The result showed that there is an improvement in the quality of the administrators in management and tourism as well as there is a blog or Facebook of the touristy village to open the market of the touristy village much better. Workshops are finalized by handing over some donations such as brochures, costumes for gamelan players (pengrawit) and sound system, witnessed by administrators of the touristy village, coordinator of gamelan players and a representative from Tourism Office Bantul.  Keywords: improvement of ability, management, touristy village AbstrakPengurus di Desa Wisata Kalibuntung merasa kemampuan dan pengetahuan di bidang manajemen dan pariwisata masih sangat terbatas, oleh karena itu dipandang perlu untuk melakukan pelatihan guna peningkatan kualitas pengurus. Setelah peserta mendapatkan materi pelatihan, diharapkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan dan pengetahuan pengurus desa wisata dalam hal manajemen dan pemasaran. Metode yang dipakai didahului dengan sosialisasi program untuk menciptakan komunikasi serta membantu meningkatkan pemahaman pengurus tentang pentingnya manajemen dalam pengembangan desa wisata. Pengurus desa wisata bersama dengan tim mengidentifikasi dan mengkaji masalah, potensi serta peluang kemudian disusun rencana kegiatan berupa program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam memahami masalah manajemen dan pariwisata bagi pengembangan desa wisata dan memberikan pengalaman praktis sesuai dengan perkembangan terkini. Materi yang diberikan adalah Pelatihan Manajemen, Pelatihan Pemasaran Pariwisata dan Pelatihan Pengelolaan Blog. Monitoring dan evaluasi diadakan untuk memantau kegiatan ini, baik proses pelaksanaan maupun hasil yang dicapai agar sesuai dengan tujuan semula. Hasil yang diperoleh terjadi peningkatan kualitas pengurus dibidang manajemen dan pariwisata serta tersedianya blog/facebook desa wisata sehingga diharapkan dapat mengelola dan memasarkan desa wisata dengan lebih baik. Pelatihan diakhiri dengan penyerahan bantuan berupa brosur, kostum seragam pengrawit dan sound system disaksikan pengurus desa wisata, ketua kelompok pengrawit dan perwakilan dari Dinas Pariwisata Bantul. Kata kunci : peningkatan kemampuan, manajemen, desa wisata

Abstract

Ability and skill of the administrator in managing the Jipangan touristy village were deemed very limited,therefore a workshop in enhancing the quality is needed. Thus, the expected target is the enhancement ofthe ability and the knowledge of the administrator in Jipangan touristy village in the field of managementand tourism. The methods employed were program socialization to promote communication and to helpincrease the understanding of the administrators about the importance of developing the ability in managinga touristy village. Together with the team, they identified and studied the problem, the potencies, andchances which then arranged in a plan and implemented as workshops aiming to improve the ability of theparticipants in comprehending the issues of management and tourism in enhancing the touristy village andto give practical experience in accordance with the latest development. The materials given wereManagement Workshop, Performing Arts and Tourism Workshop. Monitoring and evaluation wereconducted to monitor all workshops, both the process of implementation and the expected results so theycould be well elaborated as stated in the initial objective. The result showed that the administrators got anew perspective and knowledge about how to run a touristy village well so it could develop. In the end ofthe workshop some donations were handed over, such as costumes for jathilan, brochures, and companyprofile witnessed by the administrators, representatives from Tourism Office Bantul, and local residents.

Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah pengelola desa wisata dan ketua-ketua kelompok yang terkait serta masyarakat sekitar. Setelah peserta mendapatkan materi pelatihan, diharapkan terjadi peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Dengan demikiantarget yang diharapkan dapat tercapai, yakni:1) meningkatnya kemampuan dan pengetahuan pengelola desa wisata dalam hal manajemen dan pemasaran 2) tersedianya brosur dan company profile sebagai sarana promosi yang berisi informasi tentang produk Desa Wisata Jipangan. Dalam proses ini pengelola desa wisata bersama-sama dengan tim pengusul mengidentifikasi dan mengkaji permasalahan, potensi serta peluangnya.Setelah teridentifikasi disusun rencana kegiatan yang konkrit dan realistis dalam bentuk program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam memahami masalah-masalah yang menjadi kendala bagi pengembangan desa wisata dan memberikan pengalaman praktis sesuai dengan perkembangan terkini. Materi yang akan diberikan adalah Seni Pertunjukan, Manajemen Seni, Pelatihan Pariwisata dan Pelatihan Pemasaran. Kemudian diadakan monitoring dan evaluasi yang merupakan suatu proses penilaian, pengkajian dan pemantauan kegiatan ini, baik proses pelaksanaan maupun hasil dan dampaknya yang dilakukan agar sesuai dengan tujuan semula.

Abstract

The development of tourism village has not achieved its optimal result, therefore the impact on the economic, social, cultural, and environmental has not been maximized yet. Hence an effective strategy is highly needed through the awareness and empowerment of Kalibuntung society in regard of the importance of the tourism village development. The aim of this study is to determine the various potentials in the tourism village of Kalibuntung, to know how they apply the marketing strategy, the participation and the empowerment of the society, as well as the support from the government in developing the tourism in Bantul. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and descriptive analysis. Data were obtained by using several techniques namely observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the effective marketing is by using social media networks which is familiar among the youth. The conclusion is that the number of tourist visits is still limited in the region of Yogyakarta and surrounding areas. Hence there is more opportunity to develop it into various regions and targeting foreign tourists. The recommendation then suggested that it is necessary to increase cooperation with stakeholders such as travel agencies, hotels and the needs to involve the local community, and the support of the government for the development and marketing of this tourist village.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to find out the cause of traditional art in the sub-village of Tutup Ngisor which still survive until now. Qualitative descriptive research is used to reveal data comprehensively in the field. Techniques of data collection are conducted by holding observations of various artistic activities that exist, semi-structured interviews with figures and leader of the arts community as well as studying some literature and previous studies. The results show that interpreting the tradition and change in art is addressed with wisdom, has become a strong foundation for the people of Tutup Ngisor sub-village in maintaining its traditions, maintaining the local values and being wise in facing of outside influences. This research is expected to provide a solution to the possibility of reviving an extinct local tradition and keeping the tradition alive well. Therefore it is necessary to have a good and clear management system in order to anticipate the development of the era so that the art community can continue to grow and develop.Keywords: art community, traditional art that can survive.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to find out the cause of traditional art in the sub-village of Tutup Ngisor which still survive until now.
