Abstract

The aims of this research was to obtain the quality of Spotted buffalo epididymal sperm in different kind of extender in the three stages of cryopreservation (after dilution, post equilibration and post thawing). Spermatozoa was collected with combination of slicing and pressure method into the epididymal tissue in Andromedâextender. Soon after diluted and equilibrated, epididymal spermatozoa was cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen (-196°C).  The result showed that the percentage of motility after thawing in Andromedâ + raffinose 0.4% (47.0 ± 2.4%), was significantly different (P<0.05) from that of control (41.0 ± 2.0%), but there was no significantly different (P>0.05) from that of Andromedâ + raffinose 0.2% (46.0 ± 2.0%). The percentage of live sperm after thawing in control (52.2 ± 2.5%), was the lowest and significantly different (P<0.05) from that of Andromedâ + raffinose 0.2% (59.2 ± 2.6%) and Andromedâ + raffinose 0.4% (58.8 ± 3.1%). Moreover, the percentage of membrane integrity after thawing in control, Andromedâ + raffinose 0.2% and Andromedâ + raffinose 0.4% was 68.0 ± 1.1%; 67.2 ± 1.6% and 67.6 ± 1.2%, respectively. There was no significantly different (P>0.05) in the percentage of membrane integrity from all treatments. In conclusion, the addition of 0.2 and 0.4% raffinose into Andromedâ extender could improve the percentage of motility and viability of post thawing spotted buffalo epididymal spermatozoa. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the quality of frozen-thawed semen of Garut rams that cryopreserved with Tris extender containing the various β-carotene concentrations. Semen was collected from four mature Garut rams using artificial vagina once a week. Immediately after initial evaluation, semen was divided into four parts and diluted with Tris extender containing 5% glycerol + 0% (control), 0.001% (Kt0.001), 0.002% (Kt0.002), and 0.003% (Kt0.003) β-carotene, respectively. Semen was loaded in 0.25 ml mini straw with the concentration of 200 million motile sperm. Semen was equilibrated at 5ºC for three hours, then frozen and stored in liquid nitrogen container for 7 days. Quality of processed-semen including motility, live sperm, intact acrosomal cap (IAC), and intact plasma membrane (IPM) were evaluated after diluted, equilibrated, and thawed, respectively. Concentration of malondialdehide (MDA) semen after thawing were evaluated. Data were analyzed as completely randomized design with four treatments and nine replicates. Means values were compared by least significant difference test at 0.05 significant level. Results indicated that mean value of post thawing motility and live sperm for Kt0.002 (50.55% and 56.78%) were significantly higher (P<0.05) than Kt0.001 (46.11% and 52.89%), Kt0.003 (46.67% and 53.33%) and control (46.67% and 52.33%). Mean value of post thawing IAC and IPM for Kt0.002 (51.00% and 53.78%) were significantly higher (P<0.05) than control ( 47.11% and 48.44%), but not significantly different with Kt0.001 (49.00% and 50.00%), and Kt0.003 (48.89% and 49.67%). MDA concentration of frozen-thawed semen for Kt0.001 (3.37 mg/kg), Kt0.002 (3.80 mg/kg), and Kt0.003 (4.61 mg/kg) were significantly lower (P<0.05) than control (5.24 mg/kg). in conclusion, concentration of 0.002% β-carotene in Tris extender is the optimal dose in improving frozen semen quality of garut rams. Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out the quality of cauda epididymal spermatozoa in skim milk, Tris, and citrate extenders added with egg yolk stored at  4-5oC.  The study was laid out in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. Evaluation of the quality of fresh spermatozoa was done after diluted with different extenders and stored at 4-5oC. The results showed that extenders have no significant effects (P>0.05) on motility, live sperms, abnormality, intact plasma membrane and viability of cauda epididymal spermatozoa stored at 4-5oC.  It can be concluded that skim milk, citrate, and Tris extenders added with egg yolk have the same ability in maintaining the quality and viability of cauda epididymal sperms of Ongole crossbred bulls. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the viability of ram epididymal sperm collected from fresh caudal epididymis (H-0) or after storage in low temperature (5oC, in refrigerator) for one (H-1), two (H-2), and three (H-3) days.  Collected sperm were diluted in modified Tris extender and they were preserved in refrigerator up to four days.  The viability of diluted sperm was evaluated daily base on motility and sperm live.  Results indicated that mean sperm concentration after sperm diluted with 0.05 ml Tris extender of caudal epididymis was 2745 million/ml. Sperm motility and percentage of live for H-0 (71.25% and 82.83%) and H-1 (70.00% and 79.17%) were significantly higher (P<0.05) than H-2 (61.25% and 69.83%) and H-3 (51.67% and 66.17%).  Percentages of sperm motility and live of diluted sperm and preserved in refrigerator for H-0 were significantly higher (P<0.05) than H-1, H-2, and H-3.  These results showed that epididymal sperm collected from caudal epididymis up to three days of preservation (without further storage of the diluted sperm) could be used for artificial insemination or in vitro fertilization programs.  Diluted sperm of H-0 and H-1 could be preserved in refrigerator for two days and H-2 for one day. Abstract

This research aims to count the number of individuals and the number of groups of proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus, Wurmb). Before determining the location of the research, first, field orientation was conducted. The transects were placed purposively as many as 6 transects at locations determined to be a place or habitat of proboscis monkey according to the results of orientation, and the implementation used the river survey method (JCM Sha, et al., 2008). The data collected were entered into the table and then the number of individuals and the number of population groups were counted. Prediction was made on density of individual/ha and density of group/ha. The results of data analysis showed that at a 95% confidence interval of individual density of proboscis monkey population lies between 0.50 to 2.82 individuals/ha, with a density of population groups lying between 0.09 to 0.26 group/Ha. For the 99% confidence interval of individual density of proboscis monkey population, it lies between -0.27 / ha to 3.59 individuals/ha, with a density of population of group lying between 0.03 to 0.32 group/Ha. Abstract

The aim of this research was to observe the quality of spotted buffalo epididymal sperm after storage at 4 °C as liquid semen for 12 and 24 hours in andromed containing sucrose 0.2% and 0.4%. Sperm was collected from epididymal tissues by combination of slicing and pressing methods. The parameters observed were the percentage of progressive motility and live sperm. The results showed that the percentage of progressive motility of the liquid semen after storage for 12 hours in andromed (A), andromed + sucrose 0.2% (P1) and andromed + sucrose 0.4% (P2) were 48.33%; 53.33% and 55% (P>0.05), respectively. In addition, the percentage of motility after 24 hours of storage in those extenders were 45%; 46.67% and 46.67% (P>0.05), respectively. The percentage of live sperm in A, P1 and P2 after 12 hours of storage were 70.33%; 73% and 73.33% while after 24 hours of storage, the percentage of live sperm in those extenders were 66.33%; 68.67% and 69.67%, respectively. In conclusion, the addition of 0.2% and 0.4% sucrose in andromed extender could maintain the quality of the spotted buffalo epididymal sperm after storage for 12 and 24 hours at 4 °C. Abstract

Spotted buffalo, an exotic species that exists in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, is getting extinct due to high number of slaughtered during a funeral ceremony, called Rambu Solo’, as well as special treatments that do not allow the male spotted buffaloes perform natural mating activity. According to that, the research was trying to start conservation program by collected the cauda epididymal sperm soon after slaughtered. Two egg yolk-based extenders with different buffers, tris hydroxyl amino methane (TEY20) and trisodium citrate dehydrate (CEY20), were used as comparison to evaluate the post-thawed epididymal sperm quality and fertilizing capacity in artificial insemination program. The results showed that the post-thawed progressive motility of epididymal sperm was 40% and 39.17%, while viability was 65.99% and 63.26% and membrane integrity was 65.43% and 63.03% in TEY20 and CEY20 extenders, respectively. The success rate of pregnancy was 46.67% using post-thawed epididymal sperm in TEY20 and 40% using the one in CEY20 extenders. In conclusion, tris-based and citrate-based extenders have similar ability to maintain the epididymal sperm quality and its fertilizing capacity.

Abstract

Dalam meyelenggarakan suatu kegiatan perlu adanya pengawasan, diman pengawasan merupakan kegiatan penting yang perlu dilakukan setiap pemimpin dalam rangka menjamin kelancaran pelaksanaan setiap kegiatan untuk mencapai tujuan secara efektif dan efisien.Pentingnya pengawasan dilakukan untuk memastikan apakah setuiap kegiatan berjalan sesuai dengan rencana yang sudah disusun dan disepakati oleh organisasi secara bersama. Walaupun perencanaan telah dibuat dengan baik, pengorganisasian telah disusun dengan tepat dan penggerakan telah dilakukan sebaik-baiknya, tetapi bila pengawasan tidak dilakukan, maka bias saja perencanaan yang sudah disusun dan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan tidak mencapai sasaran dan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Pengawasan yang sangat penting dilakukan dalam setiap organisasi, untuk organisasi pendidikan yang  dalam hal ini sekolah dasar, sekolah dasar sebagai organisasi terkecil tetap saja membutuhkan pengawasan untuk kelancaran pelaksanaan aktivitasnya terutama dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan di sekolah dasar itu sendiri. Hal ini sejalan dengan intruksi persiden No. 15 Tahun 1983 tentang pedoman pengawasan menyatakan bahwa “Pengawasan merupakan salah satu usur penting dalam rangka peningkatan pendayagunaan aparatur Negara dalam pelaksanaan tugas-tugas umum pemerintahan dan pembangunan menuju pemerintah yang bersih dan berwibawa”.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Cash Ratio, Current Ratio, dan Quick Ratio terhadap Return On Assets (ROA) pada Perusahaan Kosmetik dan Keperluan Rumah Tangga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari laporan keuangan perusahaan yang diambil di Galeri Investasi dan Bursa Efek Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Muslim Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan yang dikumpulkan menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Cash Ratio berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Return On Assets (ROA) pada Perusahaan Kosmetik dan Keperluan Rumah Tangga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, Current Ratio berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Return On Assets (ROA) pada Perusahaan Kosmetik dan Keperluan Rumah Tangga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, Quick Ratio berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Return On Assets (ROA) pada Perusahaan Kosmetik dan Keperluan Rumah Tangga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of Cash Ratio, Current Ratio, and Quick Ratio on Return On Assets (ROA) on Cosmetics and Household Products Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research data was obtained from the company's financial statements taken at the Investment Gallery and Stock Exchange of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muslim Indonesia. This study used secondary data in the form of financial statements collected using documentation methods. The analysis method used is SPSS. The results of this study show that Cash Ratio has a positive and insignificant effect on Return On Assets (ROA) in Cosmetics and Household Needs Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Current Ratio has a positive and insignificant effect on Return On Assets (ROA) in Cosmetics and Household Needs Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Quick Ratio has a negative and insignificant effect on Return On Assets (ROA) in the Company.
