Abstract

PP Sinar Tani is one of the companies engaged in the rice industry. Stages of production process that is done in PP Sinar Tani is by breaking the skin of rice, sifting rice, cleaning of dirt, etc. The stages of the production process use machines such as pocket elevator, husk funnel, kiby machine, etc. In the machines for the production process there are machines that often suffered damage kiby machine. This kiby machine is one of the older machines, which is ± 7 years old. Obstacles encountered in the kiby machine is the engine is damaged when operating and disrupt the smoothness of the production process. After assessing the overall effectiveness of mesih kiby using TPM method, the value of OEE is 88.48% and it meets JIPM standard, that is ? 85 %. However, the availability value of kiby machine does not meet JIPM standard, that is ? 90 %, that is 88,78 %. Therefore, the authors suggest the schedule of care and operator training to improve the availability index.

Abstract

Gueue is an important part of operation management. Queue takes place in the manufacturing and service sector. Queue is people or goods in a row waiting to be served and then leaving the row after being served. This study presents the results of modeling with simulation for analyzing the queuing system to minimize waiting time at teller of BCA KCP Ruko Rajawali Palembang. To reach the intended target steps taken is well planned research, describes the system in more detail to learn, build conceptual models and simulation models, simulate the model established, analyze and summarize output. Waiting time diverse 2 seconds to 1 hour and an average of 16 minutes 28 seconds and queue length of 1 to 20 people. These results show a good performance because the teller is not a long wait time. Capacity teller would be more effective if the teller in order to add a wait time faster than before. With the proposed queuing system, so the 5 tellers of the previous 4 tellers, has an average wait time to 12 minutes 36 seconds.

Abstract

Investment feasibility analysis is a study conducted on a project (usually an investment project) whether it can be implemented or not to achieve success. Research was conducted in PT Sungai Bahar Pasifik Utama, Muaro Jambi, Jambi Province to determine the electrical energy generated from the rest of processing fiber and shell of palm to transmit the energy to a housing around the location factory. On this research will increase the engine power plant costs Rp 13.400.000.000 with economical life of 10 years and then analyzed using the analysis of feasibility of investment by 4 of investment valuation (Payback Period, Net Present Value, Profitability Index and Break Even Point analysis). As for the results of the value is from Payback Period criterion `of 96.27 months or 8,02 years, NPV equal to Rp 1,032,376,973, magnitude of PI is 1.077, and The calculation result of Break Even Point is the result 128.933 houses which must be received by PT SBPU amounting to Rp 18,356,164,384. Thus, the investment of electricity generation machine feasible to be implemented because it meets the requirements of economic feasibility.

Abstract

Quality improvement helps companies increase sales and reduce costs, both of which can increase profitability. PP Sinar Tani Palembang is a manufacturing industry engaged in rice milling. Quality control is still very lacking, this is indicated by the data from the scales which entirely pass the prescribed standards of 5 Kg, 10 Kg and 20 Kg. defective products: for 5 Kg packaged rice as much as 0.585 or 58.5%, 10 Kg rice as much as 0.604 or 60.4% and 20 Kg rice as much as 0.612 or 61.2%. It can be seen from the percentage of PP Sinar Tani Palembang every month experiencing a loss of 21,363 Kg or 1,068 kg per day with a nominal value of Rp 228,390.00 per month. By using the Six Sigma method, it is found that there are 2 factors that cause this loss is the occurrence of excess when filling and the balance scales of shear/oil scales used do not have accuracy so that the results of the scales all exceed the specified limit. One proposal that can be done is to replace the balance scales/shear scales/oil scales with digital scales so that the measuring results are more accurate. There was a decrease in the percentage of defects, namely for the weight of 5 kg from 0.585 to 0.166; weight of 10 kg from 0.604 to 0.145; weight of 20 kg from 0.612 to 0.139. Whereas from DPMO the increase from 2 sigma to 3 sigma.

Abstract

UKM “X” merupakan sebuah industri rumah tangga yang bergerak dibidang industri makanan. Produk “X” yang di produksi di antaranya bola ubi kopong, ubi crispy dan keripik. Industri ini tidak memiliki metode tertentu dalam menentukan jumlah produksi masing-masing jenis produk yang di produksi dan mengakibatkan keuntungan yang didapat kurang optimal. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui formulasi produk yang optimal dalam pembuatan ketiga produk di “X”. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Branch and Bound yang terlebih dahulu menghitung nilai variabel keputusan dengan menggunakan software POM. Penelitian ini ditinjau berdasarkan jumlah persediaan bahan baku, bahan baku pembuatan ketiga produk, data produksi,biaya produksi, harga jual setiap jenis produk, dan keuntungan. Sehingga dari analisis metode branch and bound diperoleh nilai keuntungan penjualan bersih sebesar Rp. 4.514.091, khusus bulan Juni keuntungan menjadi sekitar Rp 777.589,-. Jadi jumlah ketiga produk yang diproduksi dari bahan- bahan yang tersedia selama 1 bulan ialah 615 porsi bola ubi, 80 porsi ubi crispy dan 44 porsi keripik. Perencanaan produksi ini mengalami peningkatan keuntungan sebesar Rp 1.181.993 dari keuntungan penjualan rata-rata sebelumnya.

Abstract

Schools are generally used as places for formal community education, schools continue to evolve in terms of infrastructure development, human resources, especially teachers, and a curriculum system to keep up with the evolving times. Vocational High School prepares students who are ready to work, especially industries that need human resources who already have the required hard skills.Especially for the TKJ (computer network) concentration, students are given a workshop from the continuation of the socialization that had been previously held. The workshops are conducted online using video conferencing with the google meet application, applications such as power points and other application simulators are displayed by sharing the desktop view with workshop participants (students of SMK Xaverius 1 Palembang)Indicators for the assessment of workshop activities using a questionnaire and the results of several question points responded to by 22 students of SMK Xaverius Palembang. The highest percentage of questions "is the topic of activity interesting?" is at the 4th rate with a performance of 22.7%, the question "Material / material activity fading?" found at rate 5 with an achievement of 54.5%, the question "The delivery of the material / material is clear?" found at the 4th rate with a gain of 50%, the question "Is this activity generally interesting?" is at the 4th rate with a achievement of 54.5% and the question "Is this activity very useful?" there is the 5th rate with an achievement of 59.1%, with these results many of them have a positive attitude in this PkM activity.

Abstract

Persediaan adalah sumber daya menganggur yang menunggu untuk diproses lebih lanjut. Persediaan bahan baku memiliki waktu penggunaan yang terbatas. Keterbatasan ini disebabkan pertimbangan kerusakan barang. Produk perishable adalah produk dengan beberapa ciri khusus yang membuat persediaannya berbeda dengan jenis produk lainnya. Untuk industri pengolahan makanan, waktu kadaluarsa merupakan masalah yang harus diperhatikan. Selain berdampak pada kesehatan, sifat kadaluarsa suatu produk juga mempengaruhi nilai jual suatu produk. Bakery “X” merupakan salah satu bakery tertua di kota Palembang. Bahan-bahan yang diolah seperti gandum, margarin, mentega, dan telur memiliki batasan waktu pemakaian. Model persediaan produk perishable adalah model yang mengacu pada model Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dimana kondisi sistem memiliki permintaan yang konstan dan produk yang dapat rusak. Tujuan dari penggunaan model ini adalah untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan produk yang optimal, kapan melakukan pemesanan, berapa jumlah produk kadaluarsa yang dapat dikembalikan untuk meminimalkan total biaya persediaan. Hasil perhitungan menghasilkan total penghematan biaya persediaan sebesar Rp9.502.349 atau 1,68% per tahun.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik dalam membuat website sederhana menggunakan Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) dan Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Pendidikan kejuruan secara khusus mempersiapkan diri peserta didik untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Xaverius Palembang berkomitmen menyiapkan peserta didik Jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) tidak hanya mempelajari perangkat keras komputer dan jaringan tetapi juga mempelajari perangkat lunak yakni pemrograman web khususnya personal website. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas (UKMC) berjumlah enam orang (lima dosen dan satu mahasiswa) memberikan pelatihan kepada 22 peserta didik SMK Xaverius Palembang. Pelaksanaan PkM dilakukan pada 23 November 2022 dengan lima tahapan yakni koordinasi dengan sekolah, pelatihan pembuatan personal website, kompetisi mini, evaluasi dan laporan kegiatan pelatihan. Luaran kegiatan berupa kompetisi mini bertema personal website yang diambil tiga peserta terbaik sebagai juara dan mendapatkan hadiah. Berdasarkan kuesioner bahwa para peserta didik sangat setuju dengan diadakannya pelatihan tentang personal website.
