Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the symbolic meaning presented in Semar Mesem spell in its socio-cultural context. This study used text analysis by applying semiotic theory of Roland Barthes and considering its context in its social life of the community to obtain a comprehensive description of its symbolic meaning. The data was collected through direct interviews to the owner of spell. It was done by listening, transcribing it in English, identifying and analyzing it to formulate the research findings. The analysis showed that the symbols presented in the mantra described the elements of wisdom and virtue in communal life.

Abstract

Novel merupakan karya sastra yang dapat dijadikan media untuk menceritakan persoalan kehidupan manusia yang hadir sebagai wahana untuk mendiskusikan persoalan perempuan melalui karakter yang muncul dan konflik yang berkembang. Dari hal tersebut, dapat disadari bahwa novel juga memiliki sudut pandang tentang tokoh seorang perempuan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis novel Amba karya Laksmi Pamuntjak dengan menggunakan analisis sastra feminisme dengan teori feminisme pascakolonial. Fokus analisis ini adalah karakter dari tokoh utama, Amba, seorang perempuan yang mempunyai jiwa, mental, serta keberanian yang kuat seperti halnya laki-laki dengan berbagai konflik hidup yang menyertai langkahnya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penedekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang sumber datanya berupa Novel Amba karya Laksmi Pamuntjak. Hasil penelitiannya menjelaskan bahwa sosok perempuan bukanlah sosok “yang lain”. Perempuan juga bisa mempunyai keseimbangan yang dinamis dengan laki-laki. Sifat semacam itu bisa terjadi karena adanya proses sosialisasi dan kulturasi.

Abstract

Mitos merupakan cerita rakyat yang dikisahkan di mana tokoh-tokohnya adalah dewa-dewa, setengah dewa, atau orang suci dan masyarakat mempercayai bahwa cerita tersebut benar-benar terjadi di masa lampau. Mitos pada umumnya mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kehidupan masyarakat. Mitos sebagai warisan nenek moyang yang memiliki nilai luhur yang perlu dikaji, dilestarikan, dan dikembangkan, agar nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya dapat dijadikan sebagai teladan dan pedoman hidup bagi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan struktur mitos Gunung Bromo. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, teknik pustaka sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dan sumber data berasal dari blog kumpulan cerita daerah nusantara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tataran geografis, ekonomi, sosiologis, dan kosmologis pada cerita rakyat Gunung Bromo.

Abstract

Markesot Bertutur Lagi (MBL) text is a form of literary work that discusses the existence of social events in real society. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze MBL text using critical discourse analysis on microstructure, superstructure, and macrostructure elements. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative method with the critical discourse analysis method of Teun Van Dijk. The data collection used is using the method of listening and noting. The object of this research is one of the chapters in the MBL text entitled Markesot Bertutur Hakikat Hidup. Meanwhile, the step of analyzing the data is reading and recording several sentences and words that contain elements of microstructure, superstructure, and macrostructure. Analyze and describe text into microstructure, superstructure, and macrostructure. The results of this study, firstly, in the microstructure there are syntax and semantics that have been found in several parts, including sentence form words, pronouns, coherence, and sentence meanings in some texts. Second, the plot superstructure elements that have been found are opening, conflict, solution, and closing. Third, the macro-cultural elements found in people's lives today are different from the culture in foreign countries or the author's thoughts on the text.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, communication strategies have become crucial for effectively reaching consumers. This study aims to explore and analyze innovative communication strategies that can be used to engage consumers in the digital age. The research method employed is descriptive analysis and literature review to examine various communication strategies that have been implemented in the digital context. The findings of the study reveal that innovative communication strategies such as the utilization of social media, multimedia content, and voice recognition technology have a positive impact on fostering consumer engagement and expanding market reach. The key takeaway from this research is the significance of adapting to technological trends and developing communication strategies aligned with the preferences of digital consumers to enhance marketing effectiveness and boost business competitiveness. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how communication strategies can be tailored to the digital era to achieve better marketing outcomes
