Abstract

Two types of contracts that are used in the road project is a traditional contract (Unit Price) and performance based contract (Lump Sum). Both types of contracts have their own risks. Therefore, it is necessary to measure which type of contracts is more risky between traditional contract and performance-based contract from the perspective of the contractor using Analytical Hierarchy Process. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a method used to find a weight where the intensity of the risks using traditional contract and performance-based contract can be measured and analyzed. This research took sample for project with a traditional contract is Kendal – Semarang Road Project. While the samples for the project with a performance based contract is Semarang – Bawen Road Project. The results of the calculation by the alternative assessment, are the higher rank is performance based contract which is 0.56 (56%), while traditional contract is the second with the total score 0.44 (44%). The mean is performance based contract more risky than traditional contract from the perspective of the contractor.

Abstract

Nowadays, construction project has been progressing well, it uses new technologies, materials and contract models. A new contract model is EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). At Conventional contract, commonly used in highrise building projects which involves many participants such as owner, design consultant, general contractor, and management construction consultant. While, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project involves general contractor only. In EPC project general contractor is the main actor in the engineering process, procurement until construction. EPC Contract is suitable to build facility of processing oil and gas. This research uses the project of Gunawangsa MERR Apartment and EPC 1 Banyu Urip as case studies of conventional project and EPC’s project. The goals are to analyze procurement organization and procurement material process at conventional project and EPC project, also to find out the weakness and strength of material procurement process from the both projects. The procurement process of materials on EPC projects uses the Material Tracking System (MTS) to manage the procurement process of materials because of the complexity of the project. In addition, the project EPC uses materials and equipments that have special specifications and are not available in the market so we need a system to manage the process of ordering, fabrication until materials can be delivered on time so it will not make any delays in the project. Because the material procurement process in EPC projects require time for fabrication so that procurement of materials has been performed on engineering phase. Therefore, the EPC project has its own material procurement organization which is directly supervised by a procurement manager. Where any personnel involved have a clear task.Meanwhile , the conventional material procurement project carried out by the logistics which is directly supervised by a project manager for the material procurement process which is much more simple when compared with Material Tracking System in EPC. In addition, the materials of conventional project are available in the market so that procurement is not through a specific manufacturing process and is often performed on construction phase. However, because the procurement process is undertaken during construction so that when there is a problem or difficulty in getting material it  will result any  project delays.

Abstract

One of the work items in the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Accessibility and Ducting Utility Project is widening the M1-M2 road. Pit test results in that area indicate that there is a 40 cm (16 ") diameter Pertamina pipeline at a depth of 0.7 m. The pipe is used to flow aircraft fuel so it is not possible to be relocated, this condition is called road crossing pipeline. Alternative solutions to overcome these problems are road elevation and the making of pipe protection from concrete. Road elevation costs as much as Rp 13,626,916,287.02 compared to alternative construction of pipeline protection amounting to Rp 23,200,588,370. The time for completing the elevation of the road is faster, which is around 47 weeks, while the implementation of the road and making pipeline protection takes 61 weeks. In terms of quality, in soil compaction during the road elevation process uses a vibroroller so that compaction is evenly distributed. Based on the comparative results in terms of cost, time and quality, the alternative solution to the problem road crossing pipeline is road elevation.

Abstract

The ability of workers in construction supply chain section has not been strongly standardized as to their role and performance, especially in Indonesian project. The purpose of the research is to conduct a preliminary study of workforce capability standards in construction supply chain management. The initial standard was adopted from Supply Chain Operations References (SCOR) 12.0. The results showed that the ability element was the highest priority with 50%. Whereas the most standard worker needs to be mastered is to schedule product shipments with 18% and the lowest value is to do exception management in construction with 1%. Research recommendations are that workers need to attend every training on construction supply chain workers' standards in order to have complete capabilities.

Abstract

The old bridge of Sungai Galeh is a short span bridge with a reinforced concrete beam superstructure and a masonry bottom structure. This bridge is planned to be replaced for renovation. The replacement Sungai Galeh bridge is planned with the upper structure using reinforced concrete T-beams and the lower structure using reinforced concrete cantilever abutments. The purpose of this paper is to re-plan the Sungai Galeh Bridge in order to provide services for traffic users safely and comfortably. From the analysis results, the dimensions of the reinforced concrete T-beam are 40 x 80 and the dimensions of the diaphragm are 25 x 45.

Abstract

Landslide risk is common on most slopes. It happened suddenly. Landslides are caused by the presence of shear stress and a decrease in shear strength in the landslide area. Sambiroto Urban Village is one of the areas with relatively steep slopes so that it is prone to landslides. One method to overcome landslides is to install a retaining wall. The design of a secure retaining wall must take into account the factors of safety for shear, overturning and bearing capacity. Based on the calculation of retaining wall designed is gravity type with height 500 cm, width under 280 cm, width 55 cm, with retaining wall soil entering ground as high as 70 cm. Gravity retaining walls with these dimensions have been analyzed to be safe against overturning hazards, shear hazards and bearing capacity.

Abstract

Planning of drawings as an initial design stage in a building construction are needed as a work reference for contractors and supervisors as well as a description of the work to be carried out as transparency for the owner. This initial design is between the preliminary study and design calculations stage. By predetermining design drawing, then the calculation of the design which referring to the design drawing can be carried out. This calculation includes the endurance of the structure and its Budget Plan. Currently, there are many necessities of mosque renovation in line with population growth in both urban and rural areas. A prayer room in a village needs renovation because during holidays such as Idhul Fitri, prayer cannot accommodate congregations. Therefore, the renovation can improve the function of the mosque. Initial planning in a construction work is usually in the form of a simple drawing design which includes 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawings. This community service activity integrates the knowledge on campus to be applied in society. One of the 3-dimensional design drawing software is using Google SketchUp. The result of this community service activity is a front and side view plan drawing which is used as a reference in calculating the budget plan and project work methods. The community participates by having discussions regarding the Mushala design so that it can match with the requirements of the community and ease of construction later. In addition, this activity can also increase public knowledge about making designs with Google SketchUp.

Abstract

Pesatnya Pesatnya perkembangan perindustrian di bidang transportasi dantatanan pertamanan kota, turut mempengaruhi industri paving block. Salah satu home industri yang berkembang dalam bidang produksi paving block adalah UD. Putra Mandiri dan UD Abadi jaya yang bertempat di jalan Prof. Suharso No. 27 Semarang. Usaha paving block ini dilakukan secara bersamaan pengelolaannya dengan kegiatan usaha lainnya seperti batako. Tingginya permintaan konsumen terhadap paving block tidak diimbangi dengan ketersediaan kualitas yang memadai baik dari segi kekuatan, umur pakai, dan durability paving. Pada usaha ini masih banyak ditemukan beberapa produk yang retak dan pecah, hal ini mungkin disebabkan oleh proses pencetakan yang masih menggunakan proses manual dengan tenaga manusia. Proses pencetakan manual ini menyebabkan ketidak konsistensian dalam pemadatan cetakan paving block sehingga seringkali hasil produksi tidak dapat dipasarkan karena terdapat banyak produk yang cacat. Sehingga tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan pemeriksaan uji kuat tekan produk Paving Block yang dihasilkan mitra dengan proses pencetakan manual, serta membandingkan kuat tekan produk tersebut dengan Paving Block hasil pencetakan dengan proses mekanis.

Abstract

Masjid sebagai tempat ibadah menjadi bangunan yang selalu digunakan oleh masyarakat islam untuk beribadah. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk maka perlu dilakukan perluasan masjid yang lebih baik. Masjid Yayasan Amalbhakti Muslim Pancasila (YAMP) Tlogosari, Semarang, Jawa Tengah menjadi salah satu masjid yang membutuhkan perluasan bangunan. Masjid ini digunakan untuk ibadah wajib dan sunnah, pendidikan, dan kegiatan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pendampingan perencanaan pengembangan atau perluasan masjid YAMP sesuai dengan kriteria bangunan gedung. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi survei lokasi, pembuatan gambar kerja masjid, penyusunan rencana anggaran biaya, penjelasan hasil gambar dan biaya ke pengelola masjid. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah tersusunnya gambar teknis dan rencana anggaran biaya yang dimanfaatkan oleh pengelola masjid untuk menjadi dasar renovasi masjid. Pengelola masjid menjadi terbekali dengan gambar rencana dan rencana biaya saat dilakukan pekerjaan konstruksi.

Abstract

In the implementation of construction projects, materials are a very influential component in determining the cost of a project. Residual material causes wastage and reduces project profits. Research is needed to analyze the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in efforts to minimize construction material waste. The population of the research is WIKA employees who have implemented BIM in the Jabodetabek area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi). The research sample was 100 people. The data is processed using the Smart PLS software. The results showed that the implementation of BIM had a positive and significant effect on efforts to reduce residual construction materials. If the implementation of BIM is applied with discipline, stakeholders will have a more complete data source for estimating material needs.
