Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain empirically the characteristics of the informant, the feeling of people living with HIV when they are infected with HIV-AIDS, thought of people living with HIV when they are infected with HIV-AIDS, behavior or actions of people living with HIV after infection with HIV-AIDS, the physical condition of people living with HIV when they are infected with HIV-AIDS, social relationship PLWHA after being infected with HIV-AIDS, and the expectations of the informant. The method used in this research was qualitative with descriptive research design. The data was collected with interview, observation, and documentation. The informant is determined with purposive sampling, are 5 informants with different HIV-AIDS backgrounds. The reliability used are credibility and confirmability. The technique of data analysis used are data reduction, categorization and data display. The result shows that the psychosocial condition of PLWHA are not good and have problems in their physical condition and social relationship. Informan get the weight loss, get tired easily/lethargic, and have other diseases such as tuberculosis and toxo. Their relationship and social interaction with family and society are not good and distant. Family and society show the refusal attitude, give a stigma, and discrimination to informant. This problem happen because of the lack of acceptance and social support provided by the family to the informants.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to know how far the social skill of community organizers at anceuy Traditional Community which has special tradition . Community organizers should have skilsl in organizing community such as facilitative and educational skills. The Sub-problematics of the research are facilitative and educational skills of community organizers. The method used is quantitative with descriptive approach. The total respondents are 15 respondents using census technique. Data gathering techniques are questioner. observation and documentation study. Validity test used Pearson Product Moment formula and reliability test used Alpha Cronbach. The result showed facilitative and educational skills at Banceuy traditional Community is good . Facilitative skill is fairly good ,3.23 and educational is good, 2.89. The task and function of community organizers closely related to one of the social functions is helping people to enhance and to use ability effectively to do the life task and solve problem. To run the life task well, community organizers must have good skill. It needs enhancing capacity or training of human resources quality of community organizers.

Abstract

Dampak yang dirasakan akibat banyaknya kasus Covid-19 terasa oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat, salah satunya oleh masyarakat adat Kampung Kuta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan strategi bertahan hidup dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19 pada masyarakat adat Kampung Kuta. Metode dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi aktif yang dilakukan yaitu dengan memaksimalkan potensi yang terdapat di Kampung Adat Kuta diantaranya aset fisik, manusia, finansial, sosial, spiritual, lingkungan dan aset teknologi dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Kemudian strategi pasif yang dilakukan yaitu mengurangi biaya hidup keluarga dan pengeluaran masyarakat, saling membantu, tetap berinovasi dan berkreasi untuk usaha lain, menambah jenis tanaman pertanian dan memasarkan hasil pertanian ke orang-orang terdekat. Ketiga strategi jaringan yang dilakukan yaitu pemanfaatan jaringan antar individu, tetangga/keluarga, masyarakat, organisasi/kelompok, perangkat adat dan dusun bahkan pihak luar/swasta dengan menjalin hubungan yang baik. Didukung dengan kebersamaan dan kedekatan melalui kegiatan gotong royong juga adanya bantuan dari pemerintah.

Abstract

The Jalawastu Indigenous Community is a community group that still maintains traditional values and traditions, in carrying out daily activities. Social resilience refers to the social unity of individuals, organizations or communities that have aspects of coping capacities, adaptive capacities and transformative capacities with various environmental and social changes. This study aims to determine the resilience of the Jalawastu Indigenous community to social change in Ciseureuh Village, Keanggungan District, Brebes Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. This research provides a deeper understanding of the social resilience of the Jalawastu Indigenous Community in the face of social change. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study stated that the Jalawastu Indigenous Community still has a fairly good social resilience in responding to social changes. Aspects of coping abilities are marked by still holding high traditional values in deliberation and family solidarity. The aspect of adaptability in responding to social change is carried out while maintaining customary values and accepting social changes that are beneficial to the community. Regarding the aspect of transformational capacity, the Jalawastu Indigenous Community is still in the process of making changes for the better to maximize the available local potential. The Jalawastu Indigenous Community still has good social resilience in facing social changes in Ciseureuh Village, Keanggungan District, Brebes Regency.

Abstract

AbstractTraditional communities, particularly indigenous people tend to have a better social capital than modern society. Similarly with indigenous people of  Banceuy which own a very closely tie among the community members  that unite by the values of custom/culture makes indigenous people members  increasingly have a close bond of responsibility and have a sense of belonging  in their life. This study wants to understand the social capital which the indigenous people of Banceuy. Research methods used a qualitative-descriptive approach. The determination of informants conducting by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participant observation, focus group discussions and study documentation. The results of the study, indigenous people of Banceuy is a community which still adhere to values, norms, customs, and beliefs that are believed able to balance the life. Basically, that is, the norms that organize the relationships between each other and related with religion. In terms of belief, indigenous people of Banceuy are very well with anyone, so open especially with people in the community. Network with outsider of the indigenous people, are also established well and  respect one another.  AbstrakMasyarakat tradisional, khususnya komunitas adat  cenderung memiliki modal sosial yang lebih baik dari masyarakat yang modern. Begitu pula halnya dengan komunitas adat Banceuy memiliki ikatan diantara anggota komunitas sangat erat, yang disatukan dengan nilai-nilai adat/budaya menjadikan warga komunitas adat semakin memiliki ikatan yang erat untuk bertanggungjawab dan mempunyai rasa saling memiliki (sense of belonging) di dalam kehidupannya. Penelitian ini ingin memahami modal sosial yang dimiliki komunitas adat Banceuy. Metode peneilitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskiptif kualitatif. Data penelitian adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Penentuan informan dengan cara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, FGD dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian, komunitas adat Banceuy adalah sebuah komunitas yang masih memegang teguh nilai, norma, adat, dan kepercayaan yang diyakini dapat menyeimbangkan kehidupannya. Pada dasarnya norma yang mengatur hubungan dengan sesama dan yang berkaitan dengan keagamaan. Dalam hal kepercayaan, masyarakat komunitas adat Banceuy dengan siapapun sangat baik, terbuka apalagi dengan orang-orang di lingkungan masyarakat ada. Jaringan dengan orang diluar lingkungan komunitas adat, juga terjalin dengan baik dan saling menghormati.

Abstract

Abstract Traditional ceremony is a symbol of the presence of close relationship between human and the creator. Maintaining harmony with the creator and all of his creation is always present in their life principles.   One of the traditional ceremonies found in Sunda community generally, and especially in Sinar Resmi community is Seren Taun.   This research is aimed to gain detail comprehension about ''Why women's participation in the implementation of Seren Taun Traditional Ceremony is needed?'' The method used qualitative explorative approach. Research data is primary and secondary data. Informant determination through purposive sampling. Data collection technique used in-depth interview, participative observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and documentation study. In processing and analyzing data, researcher used interpretation by using ethic and emic view. The result of the research showed that the women's participation is very significant in the implementation of Seren Taun traditional ceremony. the participation is more in the form of physical exertion and not material. supporting factor of participation of women in the Seren Taun is their obedience against the law or obligation based on principle of reciprocity.  Keywords: traditional ceremony, participation, women Abstrak Upacara adat merupakan simbol adanya hubungan yang erat antara manusia dengan penciptanya. Menjaga keharmonisan hidup dengan pencipta dan segala hasil ciptaannya selalu ada dalam prinsip hidupnya. Salah satu upacara adat yang dapat ditemukan pada masyarakat adat Sunda pada umumnya, dan masyarakat adat Sinar Resmi pada khususnya adalah upacara seren taun. Penelitian ini ingin mendapatkan pemahaman yang lengkap “Mengapa partisipasi perempuan dalam pelaksanaan upacara adat seren taun sangat diperlukan?” Metode peneilitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksploratif kualitatif. Data penelitian adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Penentuan informan dengan cara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, FGD dan studi dokumentasi. Dalam mengolah dan menganalis data, peneliti  menggunakan teknik interpretasi dengan menggunakan pandangan etik dan pandangan emik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ternyata partisipasi perempuan sangat signifikan dalam pelaksanaan upacara seren taun.  Partisipasinya lebih berupa tenaga fisik dan bukan materi. Faktor pendorong partisipasi perempuan dalam upacara seren taun adalah ketaatan mereka terhadap hukum atau kewajiban yang didasarkan pada asas principle of reciprocity (prinsip timbal balik).  Kata kunci: upacara adat, partisipasi, perempuan

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran ketahanan sosial dalam menghadapi perubahan sosial pada komunitas adat Kampung Pulo, yang meliputi profil komunitas, perlindungan sosial, partisipasi komunitas dan penyelesaian konflik terkait dengan perubahan sosial. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan focus group discussion (FGD). Penentuan sumber data ada 6 informan dilakukan secara purposive. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data, melalui uji kredibilitas dan uji konfirmabilitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan reduksi data, kategorisasi dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlindungan sosial warga komunitas ini  bersifat tradisional maupun kontemporer. Dalam hal partisipasi, hampir semua warga masyarakat adat ikut berpartisipasi aktif dalam menghadapi perubahan sosial. Konflik yang terjadi diantara warga komunitas adat dalam menghadapi perubahan masih ditemukan, namun tidak sampai ke permukaan dan tidak menimbulkan gejolak. Secara umum komunitas adat Kampung Pulo, memiliki ketahanan sosial yang sudah baik, sehingga mampu menjadi benteng pengamanan bagi perubahan sosial dalam kehidupannya. Kata kunci: ketahanan sosial, komunitas adat, perubahan sosial
