Abstract

This study aims to know the development of authentic assessment instruments on drama text learning for students of class VIII in Junior High School 6 Tebing Tinggi. This study used random sampling. The sample were 32 student and 3 teacher. The quality of authentic assessment instruments in drama text learning is obtained from the results of validation and assessment given by material experts, expert evaluations, teacher responses, and student responses. The result shows that the average value of the student's pretest was 68.56. Based on the average value of the student pretest data, it can be concluded that the ability of students does not experience a significant high increase and has not reached KKM. Learning by using authentic assessment instruments on drama text learning gained an average of 80.97. The lowest student score is 70 and the highest was 98. Based on the average value of student posttest data, it can be concluded that the ability of students to experience a significant increase was high and reaches KKM as expected. The effectiveness of the assessment instrument developed was 80.97% and the effectiveness before using the valuation instrument was 68.56%. Therefore, the level of students' ability to answer drama text questions increases after the product of authentic assessment instruments in drama text learning was applied in learning.

Abstract

The development of a descriptive text assessment instrument must be considered in the regularity of the questions in accordance with the question grid. Based on the results of observations at Junior High School (SMP) Methodist Charles Wesley Medan, the teacher gave a questionnaire only in the form of essay questions (explanations) even though, in tests or tests carried out it was actually not just essays, but multiple choices. Abstract

Reading material is one of the tasks that the teacher must do. Reading material that has an attraction for students will motivate students to read the text seriously, which in turn will support the students' reading comprehension. Reading is the most interesting thing among students, moreover reading material is very much needed for students and can add references in the school library. MAN Insan Cendikia, East Aceh does not yet have literary material. Reading material in MAN Insan Cendikia, East Aceh school is only in the form of reading about science not in the form of literature. The material expert validation stage obtained results from these assessments indicating that the feasibility aspects of the material content of reading material products were declared 86.71% with the category "Excellent". The contents are declared feasible because they are in the average value above 75% with the category "Good".

Abstract

The aims of this study is to find out the feasibility of comic media on narrative texts based on local wisdom. The research was conducted in the second semester 2018/2019. The subjects in this study were students of VII grade  of Junior High School (SMPN) 1 Kotapinang. The results of the material expert validation on the feasibility of material aspects gained an average of 89.37% with the category "Very Good", the aspect of language feasibility obtained an average of 83.33% with the category "Very Good", the feasibility of presentation aspects obtained an average of 89, 58% with the category "Very Good. The results of the validation from the illustrated expert obtained an average of 100% with the category "Very Good", while the results of the validation of the design of the learning media from the visual appearance aspect obtained an average of 80.28% with the category "Good", while from the aspect of design learning obtained on average 75% with the category "Good". Therefore, comic media in narrative texts based on local wisdom are developed for VII Grade Students of Junior High School (SMPN) 3 Kotapinang that are suitable for use in the learning process.
