The cleanliness of the individual self (Personal Hygiene) is an effort in maintaining the hygiene and health of himself to gain the physical and psychological well-being. As for the importance of personal hygiene in human life that is keeping the hygiene themselves, create beauty, as well as increasing the degree of individual health, thus preventing the onset of disease in yourself as well as others. Based on interviews of researchers to the boarding schools, by the year 2013 brings as many as 16 students of 102 students who suffer from skin disease.This research aims to know the description of knowledge and attitudes about self-hygiene students in boarding schools Al Muhsin Metro 2014. The research method used is descriptive using the questionnaire. the population in this research as much as 450 and the sampling technique used the technique of simple random sampling with a respondent amounts to 82 students. Data analysis is carried out in the form of presentation of univariate frequency distribution table. The results of this research obtained knowledge of respondents about the cleanliness of the most self sufficient is the category as much as 46 santri (56.1%) as for the attitude of respondents about the cleanliness of the self as much as 50 students (61%) of the study it can be concluded that the students had enough knowledge about personal hygiene and personal hygiene that positive attitude (good). suggestions for mts al muhsin metro should be able to improve the provision of information about the care of cleanliness to the students supported by clinics and UKS in providing. Kebersihan diri individu merupakan upaya dalam menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan dirinya untuk memperoleh kesejahteraan fisik dan psikologis. Adapun pentingnya kebersihan pribadi dalam kehidupan manusia yang menjaga kebersihan diri, menciptakan keindahan, serta meningkatkan derajat kesehatan individu, sehingga mencegah timbulnya penyakit pada diri sendiri serta orang lain. Berdasarkan wawancara peneliti dengan pesantren, tahun 2013 membawa sebanyak 16 siswa dari 102 siswa yang menderita penyakit. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap tentang kebersihan diri siswa di pesantren Al Muhsin Metro 2014. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan menggunakan kuesioner. populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 450 dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan jumlah responden 82 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dalam bentuk penyajian univariat tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian bahwa sebanyak 46 santri (56,1%) memiliki pengetahuan tentang kebersihan diri yang cukup dan sebanyak 50 siswa (61%) memiliki sikap positif terhadap kebersihan diri. Dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang kebersihan pribadi dan memiliki sikap positif (baik) untuk menjaga kebersihan diri. saran untuk MTS Al Muhsin Metro harus dapat meningkatkan penyediaan informasi tentang perawatan kebersihan kepada siswa yang didukung oleh klinik dan UKS.
