Abstract

The title of this study is the communication strategies of public Relations in Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI Medan ini complaint management. The objectives of this study are first, to analyze the communication strategies of immigration information and communication division in complain managemenyt; third to analyze the effort expended in overcoming the challenges in the complaint management. The study carried out in TPI Medan Class I Immigration Office employs and interpretive descriptive qualitative method with three informants from Immigration Public Reltions and four additional triangulations informants. The findings show the communication strategies of Immigration Public Relations implement a complaint counter facility and social media to communicate with the public regarding complaint management. The obstacles in complaint management encountered by the Public Relations include a lack of coordinations among divisions and the public’s minimum knowledge about the immigrations rule. Therefore, Immigration Public Relations is trying to overcome the obstacles by holding monthly evaltuation meetings and disseminating immigration rules through infographics on social media.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to evaluate whether social media of the Ditjen Pajak (Directorate General of Tax) has contribution to the organizational image and the increase in tax awareness and to analyze whether the contribution is different between its heavy followers and light followers. The theory used is 4C theory in using social media: context, communication, collaboration, and connection.  The population is the followers of facebook account and instagram and non-tax employees of the Ditjen Pajak. The samples are 200, taken by using purposive sampling, based on the result of observation, and accidental sampling technique. The result of testing using the SPSS program with linear regression analysis and Spearman Rho-Rank correlation test, shows that there is contribution of social media at the Ditjen Pajak to the organizational image with a quite meaningful correlation in the two variables and there is contribution of social media at the Ditjen Pajak to tax awareness with insignificant but positive correlation in the two variables. The result of Chow test indicates that there is a difference in the contribution of social media at the Ditjen Pajak to its image between its heavy followers and light followers, but there is no difference in the contribution of social media at the Ditjen Pajak to tax awareness between its heavy followers and light followers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the Karo Regency Government's policy in relocating the community as a result of the Gunung Sinabung eruption which was carried out in several stages. The method used in this study is a descriptive type of qualitative method. The technique of determining the informants used purposive sampling technique, as well as data collection by conducting observations and documentation to the relocation location. Based on the research phenomenon related to relocation, described the factors that are considered to influence the implementation of policies according to the theory of George C. Edward III. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the policies implemented has been going well, although there are still community complaints and problems regarding delays in the construction of residential houses, insufficient availability of farming land, population administration, facilities and infrastructure are not maximized. Supporting factors in the implementation of this policy are standards and targets as well as good relations between organizations and related institutions. Factors that hinder policy implementation are: budget constraints, inadequate relocation land, social conditions and invalid population administration. Recommendations resulting from this research are for the Government to be more active in disseminating policies; propose additional budget to the Central Government, and as soon as possible propose a land use permit for relocation locations to the Central Government

Abstract

This community service takes the title “Increasing Digital Competence for Samosir Millennial Generation in the Context of Leading Tourism Promotion”. The problem that is being solved in this activity is increasing the competence of communication skills in using digital media for tourism promotion purposes. The competencies that you want to develop are the ability to write, photography, videography, and mastery of social media for the promotion of leading tourism in Samosir Regency. Activities carried out in this first year focused on the ability to write features for the Instagram format for SMA Negeri 1 Pangururan students as well as the formation of the Surat Naposo community which will become a pioneer community for tourism promotion among Millennial Samosir. The formation of this community was followed up by the creation of a Surat Naposo Instagram account which will publish writings from community members. The output target to be achieved is the formation of the “Surat Naposo” community that has skills in writing, photography, videography, and can manage the web independently. The partner in this activity is the Samosir Regency Tourism Office.
