Abstract

In this research designed an air conditioning system that is capable of reaching temperatures needed in the pasteurization process in miniature kumbung. The temperature required is approximately 70-80oC. The temperature was maintained for 4 hours. To maintain at that temperature control system designed 'on-off' by using a microcontroller ATMega 8535. This system works by shutting down the system when the temperature has been reached and revive the system when the temperature has dropped to the lower limit temperature setpoint. The results of this research in terms of the time required for the pasteurization process kumbung automatic mushroom faster at less than 5 hours compared kumbung regular mushrooms is 7-8 hours.

Abstract

The air distribution system in the room has the task of flowing cold or hot air into the room, a comfortable room condition is at a temperature of 24˚C. This study aims to determine the effect of the speed of the blower rotation on the performance of the car's AC. The cooling system in the vehicle, uses a blower to distribute cold air produced by the evaporator. Many choices of speed blowers to distribute cold air. In this study using variations in the speed value of blowers. Blower speed greatly affects the room / cabin temperature. Avoiding excessive energy consumption or inefficient energy consumption is indicated by a decrease in the COP from a cooling machine. After research obtained efficiency data for low blower rotation speed of 73.36%, medium rotation of 72.86%, and high rotation of 72.83%. But the fastest cooling of the cabin uses a high speed blower rotation. Keywords: Performance, Car AC, Speed Blower, Temperature

Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of climate engineering on the growth of strawberry plants in the lowlands. This research was conducted in greenhouse media of 6 m2 wide and 2 m high with roof cover and wall of ultraviolet plastic with roof damper using straw. Types of strawberry plants that will be used are varieties of strawberries (Alpine) Red and White Mixed. The planting medium of strawberries uses a polybag placed on the shelf. The analysis discussed in this research is the analysis of temperature and humidity attainment and growth and development of strawberries. Temperature and humidity attainment is indicated with fixed temperature and humidity data of 17 0C – 20 0C and 80% - 90% Rh under all conditions. Strawberry growth analysis is indicated by increasing stolon size while development is indicated by a change in fruit form.The results showed that the greenhouse room during the day only able to reach an average temperature of 22 0C and 70% moisture. While in the morning and afternoon greenhouse space is able to reach the temperature and humidity of strawberry habitat. Using temperatures and humidity under the design, strawberry plants are still alive and well developed which is indicated by the addition of stolon length, the appearance of new shoots, fruit ripening, and the addition of strawberries.

Abstract

The use of Split of Air Conditioning (AC) which is usually used for air conditioning for human convenience. In this study a split AC was used for drying rice. Rice drying using Split AC is a type of artificial drying that has an advantage compared to natural, which is shorter drying. In Split AC the hot air generated from the condenser released into the environment is useless will be flowed through the air duct to be used for drying rice. The use of condenser heat is carried out to find out how to grow rice by using variations in the condenser fan speed regulation. In Split AC, it is done to find out the flow of drying with a variation fan rotation speed of 450 rpm and 800 rpm. From the results of the data experiment for taking around 1.5 hours in the drying process obtained moisture content is 8% and 12% for the 450 rpm and 800 rpm condenser fan rotation each. Although the temperature of the air produced by the condenser heat is 53.6 oC and 50.6oC. The other data of relative humidity of the air (Relative Humidity) is 15%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research on the design of this tool is to determine the cooling load on the freeze dryer and to determine the time it takes to reach a temperature of -20°C. This tool uses a vapor compression cooling system and a vacuum process means that this tool cools the storage space with air in the dry cabin. The research method is to determine the volume of the cabin to determine the capacity of the freeze dryer and determine the cooling load by calculating the product load and then calculating the heat load through the walls and other loads that generate heat. for a freeze dryer machine with a capacity of 1.8 PK. From testing the tool for 10 minutes once for 6 hours, the results of the system performance at the evaporator temperature -24.64°C and product temperature -16.2°C, COPCarnot performance of 3.77, and COPAktual of 2.87 with an efficiency of 76%, This is in line with the performance values ​​in the COPCarnot design of 3.8 and COPActual of 3.30 with an efficiency of 87%.

Abstract

The geographical condition of Indramayu, which is in the lowlands, is not the right land for cultivating strawberry plants. But it is not impossible for this plant to grow and develop well. The purpose of this community service program is to provide technical guidance to improve the knowledge and skills of Pangkalan Village young people in cultivating strawberry plants by applying climate engineering technology. The equipment given in this activity is water cooling, air conditioning, temperature and humidity control, and spray machines. This activity can be said to be successful as seen by the skills of the participants in managing tools and growing and developing strawberry plants well.

Abstract

One of the big problems in Indramayu regency is that there is still a large number of unemployed, especially from school and college graduates, while the demands of the need or availability of skilled workers in the industry have not been able to absorb the results of these graduates. Based on data from BAPPEDA in Indramayu regency, the labor force data three years earlier has reached 782,856 around 63.25% is TPAK (Labor Force Unemployment Rate). Answering the important problem above, there needs to be concrete efforts of Polytechnic State of Indramayu (POLINDRA) in realizing Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi, namely Community Service Activities (PKM), in this case conducting an entrepreneurial program for Polindra graduates by creating a service unit in the field of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning (R-HVAC) to help overcome productive labor unemployment. The purpose of this PKM is to produce competent young educated technopreneurs in the field of R-HVAC who are able to work independently in order to improve the standard of living and reduce the number of unemployed productive age, especially in the Indramayu regency. This program is conducted by involving graduate students, especially those majoring in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning who have entrepreneur interests and have competence in their fields. Then they are educated their knowledge and skills, entrepreneur insights and work ethic, so that when running a business can be done professionally and responsibly.

Abstract

This research is to determine the cooling burden of the water conditioning system for lobster conditioning, where water must be conditioned to its temperature by its 21°C conditioning. This device uses steam compression systems precisely by utilizing water conditioning systems to condition water to stay awake at a temperature of 21°C. The method used in this study was to determine the volume of the water tank and its cooling capacity by calculating the load load and calculating the heat load through the walls of the water tank and other heat generated. For lobster cultivation, an air conditioning machine with a capacity of 1/2 PK. From the results of testing the tool for 3 hours, the results of system performance at an evaporation temperature of 15.2 °C and a product temperature of 21 °C obtained a Carnot COP of 7.11, an actual COP of 5.87, and an efficiency of 82.55%. This is in accordance with Design Carnot COP 8, actual COP design of 6.7, and design efficiency of 83%.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan besar yang dihadapi pemerintah kabupaten Indramayu dewasa ini adalah bertambah banyaknya jumlah pengangguran terdidik. Berdasar data dari BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik) Kabupaten Indramayu, pengangguran telah mengalami kenaikan. Tercatat sejak tahun 2020 angka pengangguran ini sudah mencapai 9,21%, hal ini mengingat selama masa pandemic Covid-19 telah memporak-porandakan laju perekonomian masyarakat Indramayu. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk menjawab permasalahan di atas, salah satunya keberadaan Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) yang salah satu fungsinya memberikan pelatihan dan keterampilan pada angkatan kerja putus sekolah. Namun beberapa BLK masih belum bisa menjawab secara kebutuhan pasar kerja terkait penyerapan angkatan kerja terdidik atau usaha mandiri, karena keterbatasan biaya operasional untuk mengembangkan berbagai sector keahlian. Melihat kondisi tersebut perlu ada peran upaya konkrit institusi Politeknik Negeri Indramayu (POLINDRA) dalam mewujudkan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi yaitu kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, yang dalam hal ini akan mengadakan program pengembangan kewirausahaan untuk salah satu Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) yang ada di Indramayu yaitu BLK Komunitas Cordova Indramayu di bidang jasa service Pendingin dan Tata Udara (R-HVAC). Program ini dilakukan mengingat bidang ini pangsa pasarnya cukup luas, yang mana hampir setiap rumah atau gedung membutuhkan unit pendingin dan tata udara, sementara tenaga teknisi yang menangani service atau perawatan masih terbilang minim. Untuk itu dengan keterlibatan Polindra khususnya Jurusan Teknik Pendingin dan Tata Udara mampu memberikan stimulan kepada BLK tersebut untuk dapat mengembangkan usaha pelatihannya. Kontribusi yang diberikan adalah penyediaan unit trainer R-HVAC skala domestic, alat dan bahan service, serta tenaga pengajar atau pendamping selama program PKM ini berjalan.

Abstract

Physics is one of the subjects that is a scourge for students majoring in Natural Sciences at Yapin Kertasemaya High School. Based on the results of the team's interview with the physics teacher, it was found that the students were weak in electricity. In overcoming this problem, a teaching tool is made to learn basic electricity. From the results of community service activities, it can be seen that students are very enthusiastic and easily understand the material provided using teaching aids.
