Abstract

The objective of the study is to determine the potence of natural agent, a mmushroom of Gliocladium sp. and bacterium Peudomonas fluorencens in resisting against the withering disease (Fusarium Oxysporum f.sp. Cubense) and their effect to the growth of the in-vitrocultured banana plant (Musa paradisiaca L). Thiswas conducted in the experimental farm of Agriculture Faculty, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, in the period of June to December 2013.This research is a single experiment using Randomized Completely Block Design. The treatment was the administration of Gliocladium sp. In three different doses of 10 g/polybag (G1),20 g/ polybag (G2), 30 g/ polybag (G3), and the giving of Pseudomonas fluorencens inthree different dosage of10 ml/l water/ polybag (PF1),20 ml/l water/polybag (PF2) and 30 ml/l water/polybag(PF3) and one control group of no treatment (K0).Based on the result of data analysis, it is proved that the treatment of natural agents of Gliocladiumsp and Pseudomonas fluorencenshas induced the plants resistance against the withering disease of FusariumOxysporumf.sp. Cubense in the banana, as it is indicated bythe increase of phenol compounds, i.e. glychoseda, saponin, and thanin. However, the treatment has no significant effect on the plant growth either on their leaves or their stalk diameter.

Abstract

Land resources is one of the critical success factors of farming systems. One of the potential land is Ultisol with an area of 47.5 million hectares, but has low soil fertility. So it needs to be studied regarding the use of compost of oyster mushroom growing media waste inUltisol in onion cultivation. The research is based on a randomized block design with eight replications. Factors studied were oyster mushroom growing media waste consists of three levels ie without waste (L0), given the fresh waste as much as 20 t ha-1 (L1) and given compost waste as much as 20 t ha-1 (L2).The results showed that giving zeolite as much as 1 t ha-1 in Ultisol did not significantly affect onion crop, whereas giving of waste oyster mushroom growing medium as much as 20 t ha-1 significantly affected the onion crop, although there is no difference between waste freshor composted. There is no interaction between the zeolite and the giving waste oyster mushroom growing media on growth and yield of onion.Keywords: compost, waste, oyster mushrooms, onion

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of sweetener concentration, various types of stabilizers and their interactions on proximate, antioxidant and sensory content of ice cream. The study was conducted using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the comparison of sweetener concentration with 3 levels of 100% sugar sweetener (D1), 50% sugar sweetener: 50% stevia extract sweetener (D2) and 100% stevia extract sweetener (D3) while the second factor is the type of stabilizer with 3 levels namely, agar. - agar (S1), Gelatin (S2) and CMC (S3). The results obtained were analyzed using the F test and followed by the DMRT test with a confidence level of 95%. The results showed that the comparison of sweetener concentration (D) and treatment interaction (DxS) had a significant effect. While the sensory analysis has a significant effect on the texture, taste, overall variables and does not significantly affect the aroma variable. The best treatment in the proximate analysis of sensory analysis is the treatment of using 50% sugar and 50% stevia and agar-agar (D2S1) stabilizer with the organoleptic score of fragrance, texture, taste and preference respectively were 3.80 (normal); 3.60 (slightly soft); 3.80 (good); 4.10 (liked), and the Physicochemical value of overrun, melting time, fibre content, viscosity, antioxidant, and sugar content respectively were 42,5%; 14,06 minutes; 0,3107%; 1,217 cP; 11,65%; 20,33%.

Abstract

Mengacu pada permasalahan mitra di atas, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk: (a) Memberikan pemahaman danketrampilan kepada mitra / ibu ibu anggota Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Bengkuang melalui berbagai olahan produk guna meningkatkan nilai tambah dan pendapatan rumah tangga petani Desa Linggasari Kecamatan Kembaran, (b) Memberikan pemahaman dan ketrampilan kepada mitra / ibu ibu anggota Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Bengkuang dari aspek pengelolaan keuangan guna mendukung kelancaran usaha pengembangan sentra bengkoang di Desa Linggasari Kecamatan Kembaran, (c) Memberikan pemahaman dan ketrampilan kepada mitra / ibu ibu anggota Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Bengkuang dalam mengimplementasikan strategi pemasaran (Marketing Mix) olahan produk bengkoang. Kelompok sasaran kegiatan Desa Mitra ini adalah Desa Linggasari, Kecamatan Kembaran, Kabupaten Banyumas yaitu kelompok masyarakat sesuai kegiatan yang akan dilakukan berupa Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Bengkuang. Hasil dan pembahasan, secara umum dari kegiatan penerapan Ibm Desa Mitra terhadap khalayak sasaran telah terjadi : (a) Peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan kepada mitra / ibu ibu anggota Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Bengkuang melalui berbagai olahan produk guna meningkatkan nilai tambah dan pendapatan rumah tangga petani Desa Linggasari Kecamatan Kembaran, (b) Peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan para anggota Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Olahan Pangan Bengkoang tentang teori aspek pengelolaan keuangan guna mendukung kelancaran usaha pengembangan sentra bengkoang di Desa Linggasari Kecamatan (c) Peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan kepada mitra / ibu ibu anggota Kelompok Wanita Home Industri Bengkuang dalam mengimplementasikan strategi pemasaran(Marketing Mix) olahan produk bengkoang.
