Abstract

Related to the news about the terrorist case, many opinions confirm that Islam is not a terrorist. Islam never teaches violent behavior in state life. Islam remains Islam and terrorists must burn on earth. The problem that happened was that mass media coverage always tended to link Islam and terrorists. To look more deeply at the agenda of media settings in reporting about Islam and Terrorists, researchers want to see this phenomenon in local media in Riau. From the two major media in Riau, namely Riau Pos and Pekanbaru Tribun, researchers studied more deeply about terrorist labeling of Islam through the perspective of critical and ideological studies which eventually gave rise to assumptions about the concept of labeling mass media in the formation of its agenda. So that an important question emerged which was formulated in this study, namely how the label of terrorists against Islam on news about terrorist cases in Tribun Pekanbaru and Riau Pos daily newspapers. This study uses Fairclough CDA model of the procedure for critical discourse analysis whose stages consist of three, namely description, interpretation and explanation. The research methodology in this research uses qualitative research methodology. Qualitative methodology is more intended to express a picture and / or understanding (understanding) about how and why a phenomenon or reality occurs. Based on the results of the research conducted,  it can be seen that the west has succeeded in discussing the labeling of Islam as a terrorist religion through mass media. This is evident from the absence of a review by the editors of the media on the meaning of the word terrorist labeled against Islam in every report about terrorists.

Abstract

Surat instruksi yang dikeluarkan oleh Pimpinan Wilayah Muhammadiyah (PWM) Sumatera Utara terkait penentuan sikap politik pada satu calon anggota DPD RI pada pemilu tahun 2019 dalam menyikapi dinamika politik tahun 2019 telah menimbulkan pro kontra bagi anggota dan simpatisan Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara dalam menyikapi nya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kebijakan komunikasi PWM Sumut dalam menyikapi pemilu DPD RI tahun 2019 yang berasal dari Propinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik judgement sampling yaitu narasumber yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan kebutuhan. Analisis dilakukan dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan melakukan verifikasi terhadap data yang ada. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa Kebijakan komunikasi PWM Sumut merupakan bagian dari ijtihad politik Muhammadiyah secara transparan dan tetap memberikan kebebasan (sebagai panduan) bagi anggota dan simpatisan Muhammadiyah dalam menentukan sikap politiknya

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of teenagers' lives, influencing how they communicate and interact. This research aims to understand the impact of social media on psychological changes in teenagers' communication behavior. This study uses a qualitative method with primary data sources from books. Data were collected through content analysis of books discussing the impact of social media on teenagers, particularly related to psychological aspects and communication behavior. The study found that social media has a significant influence on psychological changes in teenagers' communication behavior. This influence can be both positive and negative. Positive impacts include increased self-confidence, expanded social networks, and easier access to information. On the other hand, negative impacts include social anxiety, cyberbullying, and social media addiction. These findings provide important insights into how social media affects the psychological development and communication behavior of teenagers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to answer how the interpersonal communication message of parents to their children contained in the Quran Surah Lukman verses 12-19. The problem described is the interpretation of Lukman's advice to his son and how good communication is established between them, because Lukman guides and advises his son with love and tenderness. Unlike the phenomenon that occurs today, not all parents have a good way of communicating like Lukman did with his son. In advising their children, some parents speak harshly and even hit their children. This type of research is Library Research, which is a study to collect data and information with the help of books, records, written historical stories and other library materials. This research uses a revelation approach using content analysis techniques. The data sources in this research are primary sources from the Quran and its translation, while the secondary sources are books and journals of previous research that support this research. The results of this study indicate that the message of interpersonal communication between parents and children from the perspective of the Qur'an Surah Lukman verses 12-19 is the prohibition of associating partners with Allah or committing shirk because it is a great sin and great injustice. Then the next message is the order to establish prayer, do good, especially to the mother and father and encourage the ma'ruf and prevent evil and be patient with what happens to someone, specifically in the context of the verse is patient in doing ma'ruf nahi mungkar, prohibition of being arrogant or haughty, simple in walking and softening the voice in speaking.
