Abstract

The development of dryland rice farming on peatlands has great potential in order to increase national food production, especially rice. This research is a preliminary study or base line study of the action research on the intensification of upland rice on one hectare of peatland which was carried out in Tuwung Village, Kahayan Tengah District, Pulang Pisau Region of Central Kalimantan. This study aims to determine the technical and socio-economic potential and the readiness of the local community to participate in this activity. The research was conducted by exploring the opinions and responses of the local community through Focused Group Discussions (FGD) and digging up secondary data and information and appropriate literature. Tuwung village has great technical potential in the form of a fairly large land, which is 9,253 ha in the form of dry land in a peat swamp ecosystem supported by rainfall and an appropriate agro-climate for agricultural development. Currently, most of the land is in the form of rubber plantations, secondary forests and shrubs and shrubs from former cultivation that have been left uncultivated (not cultivated) for more than ten years, as well as river and oxbow lake areas, which are lakes formed from dead streams that have been formed by the river. Agricultural potentials that can be developed in this village include upland rice and secondary crops, horticulture (fruits and vegetables), animal husbandry, aquaculture (karamba) and forestry. The support and enthusiasm of the local community for the success of the study on the intensification of upland rice farming on peatlands in this village is very high, as evidenced by the establishment of a farmer group called the “Bawi Hapakat”, which is a women's farmer group. The farmer groups are the target of community development and empowerment and as direct beneficiaries of this activity

Abstract

Dalam konteks perubahan sosial menarik untuk membahas tentang unsur penyebab perubahan itu sendiri. Perubahan sosial dalam suatu komunitas, yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya perubahan sebab-sebabnya urgen untuk diketahui. Suatu perubahan pada masyarakat apabila ditelisik lebih mendalam penyebab terjadinya, karena adanya elemen yang dirasakan tidak mampu lagi memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Ada dua perspektif pandangan perubahan secara general dalam suatu komunitas kelompok yang menjadi unsur penyebab perubahan, yaitu  materialistis serta idealis. Oleh karena itu artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan perubahan sosial bidang pertanian dari perspektif materialistis dan perspektif idealis. Dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode kualitatif. Metode kualitatif bertujuan untuk menguraikan serta mendeskripsikan konsep-konsep yang berhubungan dengan pengertian secrara komprehensif mendalam mengenai suatu gejala-gejala atau fenomena, objektif dan realitas yang melatarbelakang serta tujuannya. Metode pengumpulan data adalah studi pustaka. Perubahan sosial dalam perspektif materialistis antara lain teknologi baru (moda produksi) yang terdiri dari produksi subsisten, yaitu; kekuatan produksi mencakup lahan, produksi komersial, yaitu kemampuan produksi meliputi lahan dan non lahan  merupakan sarana berproduksi, dan produksi kapitalis, yaitu; kekuatan produksi mencakup modal sebagai alat produksinya. Sedangkan perubahan sosial  dalam perspektif idealis adalah faktor non material berupa gagasan atau ide, etik dan gagasan. Gagasan diharapkan bisa menimbulkan perubahan minimal dengan melewati 3 (tiga) kaidah yaitu gagasan dapat menjustifikasi kehendak dalam melaksanakan perubahan-perubahan, gagasan dapat membuat fundamental kesetiakawanan sosial yang diperlukan untuk melaksanakan perubahan, dan gagasan dapat membawa dampak perubahan melewati problematika dan perbedaan yang eksis dalam suatu kelompok masyarakat.

Abstract

The objectives to be achieved are the diversification of animal products originating from ducks into egg Abon products and the development of small industries in women's groups to produce processed egg Abon products that can meet local and regional demand to increase family or group income. Processing food products can increase sales value and profit by up to one hundred percent. The problem with the partner group is that they still need to learn how to process egg floss products and the touch of food product packaging technology and marketing strategies in partner areas. Several methods for solving problems include counseling and training regarding diversification of food products in the form of egg floss, packaging techniques using good packaging tools, marketing strategies for the products produced, as well as approaches through monitoring and evaluating activities with partner groups. The results that have been achieved are the implementation of counseling and training on making egg floss, good packaging techniques and marketing strategies have been implemented and the partners are very enthusiastic and intend to make egg floss one of their small businesses. Partner continues to strive and innovate in marketing, adding to the taste of the egg floss it produces.
