Abstract

The use of gadgets during online lectures brings various impacts in the form of health problems both in mental and physical aspects. Health problems experienced during online lectures appear in various forms of complaints including stress and eye fatigue. The research aims to see the relationship between the type of gadget with stress and eye fatigue and to see the difference in stress levels, and eye fatigue based on the type of gadget used by students of the Public Health Science (PHS), Undana Kupang Study Program. The results showed that there was no relationship between the type of gadget used with stress in PHS Undana Study Program students with p-value > (0.05). There is a significant relationship and influence on the type of gadget used on eye fatigue. The results of the different tests showed that there was no significant difference in stress levels based on the type of gadget used, and there was a significant difference in eye fatigue based on the type of gadget used. This study shows that maintaining optimal visibility of gadgets, especially for smartphone users, and stress management needs to be considered for comfort during online lectures. Keywords: (Types of gadgets, Stress, and eye fatigue) Abstrak. Penggunaan gadget selama perkuliahan daring membawa berbagai dampak berupa gangguan kesehatan baik dalam aspek mental maupun fisik. Gangguan kesehatan yang dialami selama perkuliahan daring muncul dalam berbagai bentuk keluhan diantaranya stres dan kelelahan mata. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan jenis gadget dengan stress dan kelelahan mata serta melihat perbedaan tingkat stress dan kelelahan mata berdasarkan jenis gadget yang digunakan mahasiswa Prodi IKM Undana Kupang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara jenis gadget yang digunakan dengan stres pada mahasiswa Prodi IKM Undana dengan p-value > α (0,05). Terdapat hubungan dan pengaruh yang signifikan pada jenis gadget yang digunakan terhadap kelelahan mata. Hasil uji beda menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada tingkat stress berdasarkan jenis gadget yang digunakan dan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada tingkat kelelahan mata berdasarkan jenis gadget yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan menjaga jarak pandang yang optimal terhadap gadget terutama untuk pengguna smartphone serta manajemen stress perlu diperhatikan demi kenyamanan selama menjalani perkuliahan daring. Abstract

Young coconut ice drink is one of the snacks known for its delicious taste and its practical and fresh preparation in Kupang. Young coconut ice drinks have the potential to be contaminated so that they can cause food-borne illnesses (food borne diseases). One of the causes is the Escherichia coli bacterium, which occurs because of the hygienic treatment of foods that do not meet the health requirements. This type of research is descriptive by examining the contents of Escherichia coli and the hygiene description of young coconut drinks suitable for street food snacks in the Oebobo district from 17 to 22 July 2019. The research involves grocers and coconut ice-creams, as well as raw materials for the production of water in all young coconut ice drink producers in the Oebobo district. The number of young coconut ice drink producers in the Oebobo district is 10, so the total sample was used in this study. The data collection method uses observational sheets. The results of this study indicate that there are 6 out of 10 positive samples containing Escherichia coli bacteria, based on the Ministerial Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. The presence of Escherichia coli is said to be contaminated. There are 4 out of 10 manufacturers that meet the health requirements for food handling, equipment, water, food ingredients, additives and service, outlets and dealer centers, based on the Health Minister Decree No. 942 / MENKES / SK / VII / 2003 of the Republic of Indonesia in Terms of hygiene food for snacks.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global health threat with the highest number of deaths. Government efforts to disrupt the chain of transmission of Covid-19 by implementing online learning. The shift in teaching methods from face-to-face to online lectures has an impact on student performance. The aim of this study is to describe the factors related to student performance at the Faculty of Public Health during the online lecture during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive. The population in this study were students from the Faculty of Public Health in semester IV and VI who had given face-to-face lectures as well as online lectures with a total sample of 85 people in a stratified random sample. the result showed that the lerning performance of the student of faculty of public health in online lectures increased with the learning motivation of the students in the middle category namely 81 people (95.2%). The family factor for online lectures was in the middle range, namely 51 people (65%). The students learning facilities are in the high category, namely 74 people (87%), while the students with facilities in the lower category are 5 people (5.88%). Instructor suggestion can improve service quality during online lectures to improve student performance.
