Abstract

Age 0-24 months (baduta) is a period of rapid growth and development, called a golden and critical period. Baduta nutritional health condition depends on the level of consumption, determined by the food quality. Nutritional quality indicates the presence of all nutrients needed by the body and emphasizes food diversity. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the consumption pattern of baduta in the stunting locus area. This type of research is quantitative research with an observational approach using the Cross-Sectional Study design. This research was conducted in 10 villages in the stunting locus region of TTU with a sample of 178 baduta determined using the total sampling method. Analysis of the data used univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-Square statistical tests. The study results indicated that factors related to the consumption pattern of baduta were family income (ρ= 0,037) and the number of family members (ρ= 0,033), while the unrelated factor was maternal education. This study suggests improving maternal education

Abstract

Maternal mortality ratio (MMR) is one of the problems that has made the focus of the Indonesian government to make policies in the health sector. The main factor causing high MMR is unsafe delivery, either not assisted by health workers or was not in health facilities. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between knowledge, attitudes, husband/family support, and the use of health service facilities in the working area of the Mangili Community Health Center. This cross-sectional study consisted of 104 respondents selected using a cluster sampling technique. The data were analyzed univariably and bivariably using the Chi-square test. The results showed that knowledge (p = 0.040), attitude (p = 0.043), and husband/family support (p = 0.027) are related to the use of health service facilities. Health workers, especially midwives, are expected to monitor and do home visits and provide intensive education to pregnant women and their families to ensure childbirth in health care facilities. On the other hand, the role of the husband/family needs to be optimized to support the mother through motivation, attention, and assistance during pregnancy examinations until delivery.

The research approach used was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. The sample used amounted to 157 people with the sampling technique using proportional stratified random. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of statistical tests using chi-square analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p = 0.003), motivation (p = 0.001) distance from home (0.009), support from cadres (0.000), and family support (0.009) with the use of Posbindu Non-Communicable Diseases. This study concludes that there is a relationship between knowledge, support from health cadres, and family support with the use of Posbindu Non-Communicable Diseases. It is recommended to carry out monitoring and evaluation from local health workers in terms of increasing knowledge and skills for cadres, especially related to effective communication in inviting people to be active in regularly checking their health at Posbindu Non-Communicable Diseases.

Abstract

Work stress is a stressful feeling or a sense of pressure experienced by employees related to their work. Naibonat Regional General Hospital is a referral health service center in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Nurses at the Hospital work for 12 hours/day or 72 hours/week which put them at risk of work-related stress. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age, gender, workload, and years of service with the work stress of nurses. This study was an analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted at the Emergency Unit of Naibonat Hospital. Data were collected from September-October 2020. The study population was all nurses, 24 people, working at the Department. All populations are sampled. Hypothesis testing used chi-square with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that workload (p = 0.000) and work period were associated with stress. Age (p=0.069) and gender (p=1,000) were unassociated with the stress. The Emergency Department of the Hospital needs to pay more attention to the workload of nurses. The workload should be adjusted to the ability and work duties of nurses to avoid failure or mistakes in treating patients and to prevent nurses from having excessive workloads.
