Abstract

Puskesmas is a place for health services in the form of health development which is responsible for the technical implementation unit of the District or City Service. Motivation and work discipline are factors that affect employee performance. Employee performance is real behavior that is displayed by employees as work performance that is generated in accordance with their position in a workplace. This research method used a cross sectional design with a total sampling of 50 respondents. The results of the study using the Chi-Square Test can be seen from the results of the statistical test for the work discipline variable, which has a p value of 0.02 0.05, so there is no relationship between work motivation and employee performance in the Tanjung Morawa Health Center work area.

Abstract

TB is the ninth leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of an infectious agent, ranking above HIV / AIDS. an estimated 1.3 million deaths (World Health Organization, 2017). The results of the latest data survey conducted on July 28, 2020, data that we obtained from P2 Pulmonary Tuberculosis Puskesmas Bandar Khalifah Tembung, there were 107 patients who were male as many as 67 and female as many as 40 patients. The number of patients with confirmed bacteriology / AFB (+) was 69 patients, and the number of patients with clinical confirmation / AFB (-) was 38 patients (Puskesmas Bandar Khalifah, 2020). The population in this study were 107 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in the Bandar Khalifah Tembung Community Health Center from January to July 2020. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling, where the sample was taken covering the entire population of 107 people. Based on statistical tests using the chi-square test, there was a relationship of knowledge with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with a value (p = 0.025), there was no relationship between occupancy density and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with a value (p = 0.547), there was no relationship with household contact with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with value (p = 0.241) and there is a relationship between smoking habits and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with a value (p = 0.045). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and smoking habits in the work area of the Bandar Khalifah Public Health Center. It is hoped that the Bandar Khalifah Community Health Center will be more active in fostering and carrying out program activities on Tuberculosis for the community and sufferers.

Abstract

Nursing performance is a work achievement shown by nurses in order to produce good output for patients and the nurses themselves, in this case the head of the room is a component that plays an important role in producing good performance. The initial survey conducted by researchers by distributing questionnaires, it was found that many nurses said the head of the room did not appreciate the work progress achieved by nurses, there was no reprimand made to nurses who made mistakes, the head of the room never gave a reward as an acknowledgment of the nurse's performance. . The head of the room also does not want to accept comments and suggestions from the nurse, the head of the room does not show things that can attract nurses' work interest, the head of the room does not carry out routine supervision of nursing tasks performed by nurses. This research was conducted at the Medan City Sarah General Hospital in 2020 with the aim of knowing the relationship between leadership style and communication of the head of the room with the performance of inpatient nurses. The design of this study was an analytic survey using a cross sectional design with 25 respondents. The research sample was taken using total sampling that is taking the total population of the respondents. Based on statistical tests using the chi-square test, the results of the leadership style with the performance of inpatient nurses with a value of ρ-value (1,000)> 0.05 and communication with the performance of inpatients with the results of ρ-value (0.002) <0.05. The conclusion from the above research is that there is a significant relationship between the head of the room communication with the performance of inpatient nurses and there is no significant relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room and the performance of inpatient nurses.
