Abstract

Heart disease results from a continuous process, the heart gradually loses its ability to function normally. Early in the heart disease compensates for its inability to function and maintains normal blood circulation through an enlarged and increased pulse (compensated heart disease) (Inayati, 2014). The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between vitamin B6 intake and LDL levels in patients with coronary heart disease. This study was observational with a cross sectional design. Data on vitamin B6 intake obtained by the food recall method for 3 days. Data processing is done by person correlation test. The results showed that vitamin B6 intake of coronary heart disease (CHD) patients in hospitals. Dr. Pringadi Medan is 60% good and 35% is not good. Chronic LDL levels vary, 10% are normal, 65% are mid and 25% are high. The results of statistical tests showed that there was no relationship between vitamin B6 intake and LDL levels.

Abstract

Low breastmilk production is a major problem for new mothers, apart from drowning or flat nipples, swollen breasts, babies who are reluctant to breastfeed because of improper techniques or babies with short tongues. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving soy milk on increasing breast milk production in post-partum mothers at the Juwita Primary Clinic in 2020. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with one group pretest posttest. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers four to ten days post partum, the sample in this study was 10 respondents using accidental sampling technique in accordance with the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of this study, it was found that before soy milk intervention was given as many as 70% complained that their milk was a little smooth and 30% smooth, while after being given soy milk intervention, 40% smooth milk and 60% very smooth milk were obtained. Based on the research results obtained P-value 0.004 <0.05. This means that there is an effect of giving soy milk on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers. The conclusion is that giving soy milk has a positive effect on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Hipertensi identik dengan kenaikan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik yang mengakibatkan gangguan pada pembuluh darah, sehingga suplai oksigen dan zat gizi pada darah terhambat ke seluruh tubuh. tujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan perilaku gizi seimbang terhadap kejadian hipertensi di Desa Sugiharjo, Kecamatan Batang Kuis. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian survei analitik dengan desai cross sectional. Adapun populasi yang digunakan adalah masyarakat penderita hipertensi yang berusia 30-60 tahun. Skrining dilakukan pada 135 responden dengan mengisi lembar observasi, mengukur tekanan darah, sehingga diperoleh 35 subjek hipertensi. Hasil karakteristik responden diperoleh jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 22 orang (62,9%), kategori umur terdiri dari 30-50 tahun sebanyak 18 orang (51,4%), mayoritas responden lulusan SD sebanyak 17 orang (48,6%), kategori pre hipertensi sebanyak 19 orang (54,3%), tingkat pengetahuan dengan kategori kurang 13 orang (37,1%), karakteristik perilaku gizi seimbang mayoritas masih kurang yaitu sebanyak 28 orang (80,0%) dan analisis perilaku gizi seimbang dengan kejadian hipertensi kategori baik dari 7 orang responden pre hipertensi sebanyak 19 orang (57,1%) nilai p-value 0,048. Terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan perilaku gizi seimbang dengan kejadian hipertensi di desa Sugiharjo.

Abstract

Kejadian anemia penyebab utama pendarahan. Anemia merupakan suatu masalah kesehatan akibat defisiensi mineral zat besi (Fe). Penyakit ini merupakan salah satu penyakit yang berhubungan dengan ibu hamil yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan ibu dan janin. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi pengabdian masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan selama empat hari di Rumah Sakit Grandmed Lubuk Pakam. Tujuan kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin melalui pemberian minuman kurma. Ibu hamil diberikan 1 gelas minuman kurma selama empat hari. Pada hari pertama tim pelaksana melakukan edukasi dan diskusi tentang manfaat kurma untuk meningkatkan kadar Hb. Berdasarkan kegiatan sosialisasi ini diperoleh para peserta mendapat informasi dan pengetahuan tentang anemia dan pemanfaatan minuman kurma terhadap peningkatan kadar Hb. Dari hasil sosialisasi selama empat hari bahwa setelah pemberian minuman kurma dapat meningkatkan kadar Hb ibu hamil anemia dengan rata-rata 0,24 mg/dl dari 18 peserta. The incidence of anemia is the main cause of bleeding. Anemia is a health problem due to deficiency of the mineral iron (Fe). This disease is one of the diseases associated with pregnant women that can interfere with the health of the mother and fetus. The implementation of this community service socialization has been carried out for four days at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The purpose of this socialization activity is to increase hemoglobin levels through the provision of date drinks. Pregnant women are given 1 glass of date drink for four days. On the first day, the implementing team conducted education and discussion about the benefits of dates to increase Hb levels. Based on this socialization activity, participants obtained information and knowledge about anemia and the use of date drinks to increase Hb levels. From the results of socialization for four days that after giving dates drinks can increase the Hb level of anemic pregnant women by an average of 0.24 mg/dl from 18 participants.

Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure beyond normal limits with a diastolic pressure of 90 mmHg or a systolic pressure of 140 mmHg. Hypertension is a disease that cannot be cured but can be controlled, one of which is with a low-salt diet. Adherence in undergoing a low-salt diet is the main key to the recovery of hypertensive patients. When hypertension is not controlled will appear complications in the organs. To prevent blood pressure, exercise regularly, maintain an ideal weight, consume healthy foods, manage stress, and get enough sleep. Checkan blood pressure periodically to the doctor, The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of adherence to a low-salt diet on the blood pressure of hypertensive patients. This study used a total sampling method, namely sampling techniques where the number of samples was equal to the population, the sample in this study was 15 inpatient hypertension patients at GrandMed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Research shows that female respondents were 7 people (46.7%) male respondents as many as 8 people (53.3%). This study can be seen that from 15 respondents, it can be seen that 11 patients who adhered to a low-salt diet adhered to (73.3%), and patients who did not comply with a low-salt diet adherence were 4 people (2 6.7%). This study is a Cross sectional study as many as 15 respondents were the subject of this study. The results of statistical tests showed that there was an effect of adherence to a low-salt diet on blood pressure in inpatient hypertensive patients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital with values (p Value = 0.000). Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of adherence to a low-salt diet on inpatients at GrandMed Lubuk Pakam hospital.

Abstract

Nutritional problems that are not optimal are related to poor health. Poor nutrition is a risk factor such as cardiovascular disease (heart and blood vessel disease, hypertension and stroke), and eating behavior in food selection will affect a person's nutritional state. This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine the behavior of balanced nutrition with the incidence of hypertension in Sugiharjo Village, to determine the relationship between balanced nutrition behavior and the incidence of hypertension in Sugiharjo Village. The inclusion criteria of Sugiharjo Village residents were 35 people. This study shows that there are 22 (62.9%) female respondents compared to 13 male respondents (37.1%). The number of samples was determined using the Lameshow formula, namely 35 people. The data was taken using a questionnaire including food recall with direct interviews. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis which was processed using the SPSS program and presented in tabular form. The results of the study using the chi-square test showed that there was a relationship between balanced nutrition behavior and the incidence of hypertension in Sugiharjo village, Batang Kuis district. The p-value is 0.048, which means it is smaller than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between balanced nutrition behavior and the incidence of hypertension in Sugiharjo Village.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is the oldest disease in the world and is related to the metabolism of glucose levels in the blood. DM can be seen from several sets of aspects of symptoms that arise in a person due to an increase in blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) due to insulin deficiency. The high prevalence of DM, which is mostly classified as type II DM, is due to the interaction between factors of genetic susceptibility and exposure to the environment. Factors that influence adherence to the type II DM diet include the knowledge and attitudes of people with type II DM. The diabetes mellitus diet is an important part of the comprehensive management of the Type DM diet. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes with dietary adherence of people with type II diabetes mellitus. The type of research used is quantitative with analytical design and cross-sectional approach, the number of people in this study is 35 people. The technique of taking sempel in purposive sampling research. The results showed that there was a relationship of knowledge with dietary adherence of people with type II DM (p Value = 0.017) and there was a relationship of attitudes with dietary compliance of people with type II DM (p Value = 0.044). Suggested to the officer. Hospitals are expected to provide special education about diabetes mellitus to patients either in groups or individuals for patients and patients' families.
