Abstract

Teaching al-Qur’an needs to be started to learn and be read by children at early age, because deep reading Qur’anwould instill their faith. The benefits of reading and memorizingthe Quran for them are straightening out their tongue, reading theright letter, and pronouncing it in accordance with its makhraj.An art of reading Qur’an is one way to learn it more interestingand fun so that children are easier to understand and practice it.Calligraphy as one of working art emphasizes a beauty found inthe forms of letters which have been modified or stylized so as tohave an aesthetic value. The purpose of studying calligraphy is todevelop talent and students’ creativity in the field of Arabic literaryart, preserve Islamic culture, and provide life skills provision inthe form of calligraphy. By the art of Qur’a reading and writingempowerment program through qiro’ah and calligraphy at NUMI Miftahut Tholibin during fasting month, the students find ithelpful to increase their motivations. The empowerment programis supported by the sufficient learning infrastructure of MI. Whilethe problems in service activities of MI NU Miftahut TholibinMejobo are the limited time, as well as differences in intelligenceand students’ character. Then, the obstacles can be overcome byapproaching individuals and groups as well as forming peer inservice activities. Abstract

Abstract: This article describes the advantages and the examples of song tosupport English language learning process. Moreover, this article explains theposition of English language in Indonesia and the characteristic of childrenas foreign language learners. Children have unique characteristics that couldbe employed for the supporting factors and disadvantaging factors of foreignlanguage learning process. They need to move and be able to concentrate for ashort term, learn through experiences, have less ability to control and plan theiractivities, not fear to do some mistakes or take risks, not really pay attention totheir shelves or their actions, pay attention to the language purpose, and posseslimited experiences in their lives. Songs are learning resources that have so manyadvantages, including linguistics resource, affective/psychological resource, andcognitive resource. Songs can be good learning sources as teaching media forEnglish language class.

Abstract

Social theories generally defined as analytical frameworks or paradigms that applicable to examine social phenomena. The term belonging to ideas about how societies change and develop, methods of explaining social behaviour, power and social structure. In contemporary social theory, certain themes such as the nature of social life, the relationship between self and society, the structure of social institutions, social transformation, as well as such as gender, race, class, and others themes consider as most priority to others. This paper will demonstrates Foucault’s ideas in structures and discourses—how discourses produced particular truths which studying institutions (schools) and offering a critique of what was considered to be normal, to consider Foucault’s ideas such as panopticism to examine disciplinary and self-policy of schools. The main purpose ofthis paper is to find practical value in Foucault’s ideas.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is one of the objectives of English teaching as general English courses in STAIN Kudus. This is in line with the syllabus determined by all of faculties of STAIN Kudus. It states that English which is focus on reading comprehension is oriented to enable students to comprehend English written text. The researcher finds that the students of STAIN Kudus have difficulties in getting the message of the English reading text. They still think Indonesian patterns when they are understanding English text. Structure is one of fundamental building blocks in understanding the English reading text. A text consists of more than one sentence. The first step in understanding a sentence is to locate subject and predicate. Phrase is a group of words that have function as Subject (S), Predicate (P), and Object (O) in the sentence. Therefore, one of the ways to understand a text is mastering how to analyze phrases.

Abstract

Today, we can see that the negligence of parents and early childhood’s teachers could not keep pace with the times. This can be seen from the development of increasingly sophisticated technology and the rise of children’s television programs become more interested. Given this phenomenon, the parents and educators particularly in early childhood environment, should be flashback while they are still at an early age. The existence of storytelling activities tend to have waned since eroded by age and sophisticated era. Though keep in mind that there are many benefits by giving a fairy tale to children. Children’s tales are very useful for being able to glue the relationship between parents and their children, as well as helping to optimize the development ofchildren’s psychological and emotional intelligence. The examples of fairy tales that can be given to children is a tale of local knowledge that can be drawnfrom the local legends and the unique stories.

Abstract

The process of learning in early childhood should be done with the aim of providing the basic concepts that has significance for children, namely through real experience that allows the child to demonstrate the activity and curiosity (curiosity). To achieve this goals, teachers have a position to put his role as a companion, mentor, fasilltator and motivator for their children. This is done to balance the teacher’s roles and parenting who are too dominant to be more democratic so that children have the freedom to explore the world around them. PGRA department as an institution which printers prospective teachers of RA / TK must provide the basics of science and learning models, especially the learning associated with the arts as an asset child to learn comfortably. This is based on the principle that early childhood learning should be delivered by way of playing and singing.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education is one form of the provision of education that focuses on the foundation of the direction of growth and development. At an early age, children can be taught basics English only and they are taught it by directed playing. Through directed playing, children can learn many things. Instructional design is an integral part of several components of interacting learning, interrelation and interdependence in achieving the learning objectives that have been set. Learning component includes students, teachers,curriculum, teaching materials, instructional media, learning resources, learning processes, facilities, environment and learning objectives. These components should be designed in accordance with the developing learning program.
