Abstract

The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) is one of the Faculties at the University of Papua which has two majors namely, Aquatic Resources and Marine Sciences. Each department has a laboratory that can be rented by students, lecturers, and the general public. The large number of laboratory equipment often makes it difficult for laboratory managers to arrange loan data and return laboratory equipment. Most of the borrowing data is filed in the form of files which might be damaged if a disaster occurs, besides that the means to promote laboratory equipment rental services for the general public are still manual, by placing advertisements placed on the FPIK Walls, which are generally can be seen by students in the Faculty. Based on this condition, an application for leasing laboratory equipment was made in FPIK using Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and PHP Mysql. With the existence of this application it can help each process of borrowing and returning laboratory equipment more effectively. Some features contained in this application include member registration, registration of loan forms, return forms, tool data, and transaction lists.

Abstract

This study developed and evaluated a mobile application for infrastructure rental at the Quality Assurance Agency for Education (BPMP) in West Papua using the Design Science Research (DSR) approach in the field of Information Systems (IS). This application, the first designed specifically for the needs of BPMP West Papua and integrated with the existing system, was assessed based on usability and user acceptance through interviews, black box testing, and effectiveness testing using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The black box testing results indicated successful application development. Evaluation with 64 respondents through hypothesis testing showed that social influence and technological anxiety significantly affect attitudes toward accepting the use of the application. This highlights the importance of considering these factors for the successful implementation of the mobile application at BPMP West Papua, potentially enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure rental.

Abstract

This research aims to design the User Interface (UI) of the Siwi Village website, located in South Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province, and to evaluate its User Experience (UX). This is due to the numerous tourism potentials in the area that remain largely unknown to the public and hold significant economic potential. The UI/UX evaluation process was conducted using the Cognitive Walkthrough method. Figma was employed as a tool in the design process. During the evaluation phase, a questionnaire was constructed and tested by 35 respondents to assess user satisfaction with the UI. Although the overall evaluation results at this stage were quite satisfactory, the information regarding the village's tourism potential was found to be insufficiently highlighted. Therefore, a subsequent user experience evaluation was conducted involving 5 new users, utilizing the Cognitive Walkthrough method. The evaluation results using this method indicated high satisfaction levels in terms of Learnability (94 percent), Effectiveness (Quality rate 96 percent, Error rate 4 percent), and Efficiency (Time-Based Efficiency 0.016 goals/second or 1.6 percent), with an average task completion time of 8.74 seconds. Recommendations include the use of more attractive color combinations, the addition of feedback or suggestion boxes, and a click-to-enlarge image feature. This research is expected to contribute positively to the development of the Siwi Village website UI, resulting in higher user satisfaction levels.

Abstract

Prediction can be called a science that is used to predict events that are likely to occur in the future based on past events. One of the other prediction methods in circulation is Backpropagation Neural Network. Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) is a Neural Network (NN) that is forward in nature and does not have a loop through which signals flow from input neurons to output neurons. This research aims to determine a prediction of egg supply in 2023, especially during Christmas in Manokwari district to meet market and customer needs. By analyzing the availability of egg supplies in the city of Manokwari from January 2018 to December 2022. From the methods used in this research, starting from data collection methods as well as variables and research stages which include the data collection process, data sharing, then training and data testing and validation crosswise, the prediction pattern for the number of egg stocks is 12-16-1, where there are 12 variables in the input layer, then 16 variables in the hidden layer, 1 variable in the output layer, the learning rate value is 0.9 and the value the momentum is 0.1, resulting in a prediction of egg stock in 2023, especially in December, of 131053 eggs. With a MAPE value of 27.4767%. with the results of a feasible prediction model value. With the predicted results, the number of egg stocks in 2023, especially in December (during Christmas celebrations) in Manokwari Regency is 131,053 eggs during December 2023.

Abstract

The increased use of QRIS, especially in Manokwari, warrants research to understand the adoption intention along with several determining factors. The research aims to understand the influence of Self-Efficacy, Personal Innovativeness, and Privacy Concern on the adoption of QRIS in the West Papua Province. This research utilizes the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, external variables such as Privacy Concern, Personal Innovativeness, Self-Efficacy, and control variables are measured through SEM-PLS. An online questionnaire was distributed to the West Papua community, with 162 respondents who had used QRIS in the past month. The research results indicate that Self-Efficacy and Personal Innovativeness significantly affect perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Privacy Concern influences Adoption intention, which subsequently affects perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. However, the relationship between Privacy Concern and perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use is less significant, indicating that the perception of Privacy Concern is not a major factor in the adoption of QRIS in West Papua Province. Keywords: Mobile Self-Efficacy; Personal Innovativeness; Privacy Concern; QRIS; SEM-PLS AbstrakAdanya peningkatan penggunaan QRIS khususnya di Manokwari sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui niat adopsi dengan beberapa faktor penentu.
