Abstract

AbstractThis study was investigating about religion message visualization in film “Hijrah Cinta”. The goal of this study was to know about religion message visualization and it purposed in film “Hijrah Cinta”. This study used the descriptive-qualitiative method which explained the detail of the problem showed on this study. The data analysis in the object used the semiotics analiysis technic. The concept which used in this study was : religion message concept, then the theory whisch used was film semiotics Christian Metz theory and Gestalt cognitive psycology theory. The data analysis result shown the conclusion that the religion message in “Hijrah Cinta” shot series was sincere, patient, no surrender and godfearing. Those message was described to 7 syntagmas by Metz. The explanation of religion message was more complete with presence of gestalt psychological based analysis. 5 characteristic of insight in learning formed the comprehension about sincere, godfearing on religious proselytizing.

Abstract

AbstrakTeaser batik paras gempal merupakan karya audio visual, rangkaian dari sebuah kegiatan promosi karya-karya lokal yang digunakan sebagai pembuka acara Banyuwangi Batik Festival (BBF) 2015. Karya audio visual perlu memperhatikan estetika agar pesan dapat tersampaikan dengan baik serta dapat membuat penonton terkesan. Teaser batik paras gempal berfungsi sebagai penarik perhatian pemirsa serta sebagai media yang menginformasikan kepada masyarakat tentang tema BBF 2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui estetika dari visualisasi teaser batik paras gempal dalam acara Banyuwangi Batik Festival 2015. Visualisasi yang nampak sebagai berikut, (1) visualisasi kegunaan atau fungsi batik paras gempal, (2) wujud batik paras gempal, (3) proses pembuatan batik, (4) filosofi batik paras gempal, (5) kebudayaan Banyuwangi khususnya suku Using. Seluruh tampilan teaser batik paras gempal sejumlah 29 scene dianalisis dari unsur naratif serta sinematik, selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan estetika Monroe Breadsley. Seluruh tampilan pada teaser batik paras gempal menyampaikan pesan atau informasi yang jelas tentang batik paras gempal dan tentang budaya Banyuwangi khususnya suku Using, serta dapat mempengaruhi mood penonton sehingga membuat indah.

Abstract

ABSTRAK    Pusat Pelatihan Pertanian dan Perdesaan Swadaya (P4S) adalah salah satu kelompok tani yang diketuai oleh Bapak Buharto di desa Karang Melok, kecamatan Tamanan, kabupaten Bondowoso. Kegiatan utama dari P4S adalah memberikan pelatihan untuk menjalankan pertanian organik dan pembuatan pupuk organik. Permasalahan yang dihadapi P4S adalah pada kegiatan pemasaran dan proses pendaftaran bagi kelompok atau individu yang ingin mengikuti pelatihan. Selama ini pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh P4S adalah dengan cara konvensional yaitu dari mulut ke mulut. Pendaftaran hanya dapat dilakukan secara langsung melalui telpon tanpa adanya proses pendataan. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk pemasaran dan meningkatkan brand awareness P4S adalah dengan membuatkan website dan akun di media sosial (facebook), dan kemudian disosialisasikan penggunaanya ke pengelola/anggota P4S.Kata kunci : P4S, pemasaran, brand awareness, website, media sosial. ABSTRACT “Pusat Pelatihan Pertanian dan Perdesaan Swadaya (P4S)” is one of the farmer groups chaired by Mr. Buharto in Karang Melok village, Tamanan, Bondowoso. The main activity of P4S is to provide training to runing organic farming and making organic fertilizer. The problems faced by P4S are marketing activities and the registration process for groups or individuals who want to take part in the training. So far the marketing carried out by P4S is in the conventional way, which is word of mouth. Registration can only be done directly by telephone without the data collection process. Efforts that can be made for P4S in marketing activities and increasing brand awareness are by creating websites and account on social media (in this case Facebook), and then disseminated its use to members of P4S.

Abstract

Background: The lack of information and low knowledge for adolescent reproductive health (ARH) have an impact on junior high school (JHS) students during puberty to develop unhealthy reproductive behaviors, such as dating and consumption of pornography through online media. Meanwhile, there are lack of facilities and infrastructure to accommodate the interests and talents of students that are friendly with local wisdom. Therefore, there is needed a partneships program between  schools and university to improve student creativity for coaching ARH through empowerment of school environment. Furhermore, the aim of community egagement is to make a short film “healthy ARH” that is friendly to local wisdom to improve life skills of ARH.Method:The crativity of short movie program “healthy ARH” for local wisdom-friendly  was conducted for 6 months at JHS 2 and JHS 3 Tamanan, Bondowoso. Among 36 students, 34 parents, and 6 teachers were participated in this program. Student creativity for making a short film was facilitated for promoting and education of ARH. This activities is an independent program from, by, and for students and teachers which are friendly with local wisdom. The series of activities consisted of community school consultations, training for made a short film, education and training for ARH, and monitoring and evaluation of program. Program measurements for students were performed through quantitatively measured for analyzed the differences of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of ARH, as well as knowledge of HIV at the beginning of month 1, month 3, and month 6 using Chi square test. Whereas the qualitative evaluation was perforemed through focus group discussions (FGD) regarding the perceptions of students and teachers used a short film as ARH  promotion media at the end of the program.Hasil:Among 36 students who took part in this program, there were significant differences for ARH of students before and after participating in the “healthy ARH” through short film based on local wisdom-friendly, both in terms of knowledge(X2= 33.6; p<0.001), attitudes(X2= 16.2; p=0.001), behavior(X2= 24.3; p<0.001), andknowledge ofHIV (X2= 11.9;p=0.008). Based on the FGD, the teachers were feel confident for conducting peer counselors using short film education media. These film was easier to educate the student regarding the values and norms of school environment. Meanwhile, students feel comfortable learning ARH from a short film and their interests and talent are facilitated by short film creativity.Kesimpulan:Ashort film “healthy ARH” based local wisdom-friendly program is able to improve the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of ARH, as well as the students' HIV knowledge. This program could be used as a medium for ARH education in schools by integrating with the school health program to improve life skills of ARH.

Abstract

The FTV Suara Hati Istri episode Aku Hanya Boneka di Sangkar Emas Suamiku is interesting to study, because there are gender inequalities in it. Using qualitative research with the approach of Norman Fairclough, this study aims to describe: (1) the dimensions of the text of gender inequality discourse, (2) the practical dimensions of gender inequality discourse, and (3) the dimensions of sociocultural practice. The research data was combined with the free-of-conversation listening technique, analyzed descriptively analytically, and the results were presented informally. The results of the study indicate that there are texts or discourses on gender inequality in FTV through the production of texts and the responses of viewers who consume them. The sociocultural practice that is displayed is a strong patriarchal culture in married life.

Abstract

Car Toons Compilation is an animated film by the YouTube channel First Toons which contains a compilation of episodes of Car Toons, including A Tow Truck, A Water Truck, and A Tractor. Car Toons tells a different story in each episode but still includes car elements. This study aims to discuss the semiotic understanding of the animated film by using Peirce's semiotic theory, especially icons, indexes, and symbols. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis, which emphasizes the process of semiosis with the meaning of the relationship between signs or representamen in the elements of animated films and their benefits for children. The study results show that the animated films A Tow Truck, A Water Truck, and A Tractor have imaginary icons, namely visuals based on similarities to reality. The Tow Truck's indexicality as a saviour for a breaking car has a symbol of a towing tool that has a tip like a fishing hook on the back of the truck. The indexicality of the Water Truck is used to save alive whales even though they are on land. The blue object is a symbol of water. Tractor truck indexicality that agricultural land can be planted due to tractor services, its symbolism is that the animation of land with plants is agricultural land. Based on this discussion, the meaning of representamen provides benefits for children in the form of understanding the types of trucks and their uses.

Abstract

The Banyuwangi Regional Government hosted a tourism vlog competition from 2017 to 2021. Because no analysis of the effectiveness of the competition has been conducted, additional research is required. The selection of cocoa tourist research objects in Sempu District is expected to become one of the community-based advertising references. This qualitative study collects data through interviews, focused group discussions, and documentation. The qualitative data analysis was carried out by combining data on the implementation of the Vlog Competition from the Tourism, Creative Economy and Culture Office of Banyuwangi Regency with data from FGD results with a sample of Banyuwangi film creators and data on cocoa tourism visits in Sempu District. The analysis results indicate that the Tourism Vlog Competition is ineffective in increasing the number of cocoa tourism visits in Sempu District.

Abstract

The film "Ali & the Queens" is an example of a family-themed movie. This film has an intriguing storyline as it utilizes dramatic elements to emphasize the message of family bonds. The relationship between Ali and the Queens is predominantly focused on conveying the message of kinship. Ali and the Queens are a family without any blood ties. Their relationship initially starts from a mutually beneficial arrangement. Moreover, their familiarity grows as they are fellow immigrants from the same country. The sense of family between Ali and the Queens develops while living in the same apartment, fostering closeness and care for each other. The purpose of this study is to explore how the dramatic elements in the film "Ali & the Queens" contribute to conveying the message of family. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques involve observation, documentation, and literature review. The results of the study indicate that there are ten scenes supported by dramatic elements in conveying the message of family. Three scenes are supported by conflict, three scenes by suspense, two scenes by curiosity, and two scenes by surprise.
