Abstract

This study was conducted at a factory producing construction and building materials such as ready mix concrete, piles, udit concrete, and ryol.  These products are produced in almost the same process, but on different production lines.  There are 2 operators in the frame reinforcement section for udit concrete production.  It is seen that the two operators have the same task but different results of their work, so that the production target is not achieved.  The workload analysis method is used to determine the operator's actual load.  Observation of activities is carried out by the work sampling method for 5 days.  In work sampling, work and idle activities of workers are observed at randomly selected times and the amount of production during observations is recorded.  From the study, it is known the ideal of actual load of each operator and the number of operators for the concrete frames reinforcement.  The results showed workload of operator 1 was 95.11% while workload of operator 2 was 107%.  The number of operators reinforcing concrete frames remains fixed for 2 people, but wage compensation needs to be given to operators 2 for excess workload refers to the amount of wages and provisions for overtime that are applicable in the company.

Abstract

Fire is a threat to human safety. With the rapid development and progress of development, the risk of fire is increasing. The population is getting denser, the construction of office buildings, residential areas, and industries that are increasingly developing so that these areas have a level of vulnerability to the risk of fire. Therefore, the existence of the Fire Prevention and Fire Service is needed. The problem that often occurs is the length of time the Fire Prevention and Fire Department gets to the scene of the fire. This causes huge losses to the community both in funds and lives. This study’s purpose is to improve the efficiency of service time at the Fire Prevention and Department of the Fire so that losses due to fire can be minimized. The method used is Lean Service and for the design using the 5S method. The results of this paper that the value added activity amount 37%, while the non-value added activity amount 63%. These results indicate the need for a reduction in activity so that processing time is more efficient. The result of this analysis using Fishbone Diagram and FMEA, it was found that the most cause of the highest failure mode was activity in the storage area for equipment and personal protective equipment that was difficult to reach and irregular so that the best layout was designed using the 5S Method.

Abstract

PT. Apindowaja Ampuh Persada adalah salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam bidang industri manufacturing pembuatan spare part mesin dan mesin produksi kelapa sawit. Tentunya dalam hal ini membutuhkan peralatan bantuan untuk memudahkan sistem kerja pemindahan bahan baku dari satu tempat ke tempat lainnya dengan Mesin Crane (Hoist Crane). Dalam penelitian perlu ditentukan kegiatan perawatan hoist crane yang terjadwal guna meningkatkan keandalan kerja alat. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance untuk menentukan jadwal perawatan mesin dan alat, lalu sistem penyediaan sparepart kritikalnya menggunakan Business Process Modelling. Hasil yang diperoleh beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan setiap hari yaitu melakukan pengecekan atau kegiatan pemindahan sesuai dengan Standard Operating Procedure, dan melakukan pengecekan terhadap breaker. Terdapat 4 kesalahan yang mengalami kerusakan yang menimbulkan efek sehingga mesin crane tidak dapat digunakan yaitu terdapat pada nomor 9,14,17,19.

Abstract

Peneltian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan Foundry yang berlokasi di Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. kerusakan yang sering terjadi di perusahaan tersebut  adalah mesin crane . dalam penelitian ini peneliti akan menganalisis kerusakan pada mesin crane dengan menggunakan Metode Failure Mode Effect Analisys (FMEA). Adapun langkah-langkah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, pemeriksaan, mendeteksi kegagalan, tingkat kerusakan, angka probabilitas, angka deteksi, angka risiko. setelah dianalisis didapatkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) Disk brake tidak dapat melakukan pengereman saat motor berjalan (RPN = 294) dan hoist tambahan kondisi tidak aman, coil rusak dan tong yang rusak saat mengangkat coil sehingga jatuh karena posis tidak seimbang (RPN = 98)  . hasil penelitian yaitu didapatkan pada nilai RPN tertinggi pada faktor kerusakan disck brake dan hoist tambahan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada perusahaan jasa yang sedang mengalami penurunan jumlah penumpang pada wilayah Medan, Bandara Kualanamu Internasional, Siantar, Parapat, Sibolga, dan daerah Singkil. UMKM  juga mengalami permasalahan  yang diakibatkan beberapa factor yaitu: kekurangan armada, cara memasarkan kepada konsumen kurang, dan keterlambatan penjemputan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui posisi perusahaan dalam Matriks IFAS dan EFAS serta program kerja prioritas. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis  SWOT adalah metode perencanaan strategis yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kekuatan (strengths), kelemahan (weaknesses), peluang (opportunities), dan acaman (threats) dalam suatu proyek atau spekulasi bisnis. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan Matriks IFAS dan EFAS diperoleh hasil IFAS lebih tinggi daripada EFAS dan skor tertinggi terdapat pada Strengths sebesar 2,0667.Kata kunci : Strategi, SWOT Analysis, Balanced Scorecard, QSPM

Abstract

Tata letak pada umkm (usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah) penggilingan jagung gudang ujung ini merupakan suatu keputusan penting menentukan efisiensi sebuah operasi dalam waktu jangka panjang, karena tata letak menunjukan daya saing dalam hal kapasitas, proses, biaya, fleksibilitas, waktu kerja dan citra usaha. Maka dari pada itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkat kan efisiensi yang di anggap dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi penggilingan pada umkm ini. Metode yang digunakan ialah Metode BlocPlan .Penelitian ini di lakukan di gudang ujung desa Kuta Bangun Kec. Tiga Binanga Kab.Karo. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa rancangan ulang tata letak menggunakan block plan pada umkm (usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah) ini dapat meningkatkan produktifitas yang lebih baik

Abstract

Jaya Baru Mandiri company is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of machinery spare parts. One of the spare parts products that are often made is mainshaft, for the purposes of palm oil mills. In the process of making mainshaft, there is still often a delay (lateness). So that in this study, it was done to improve the scheduling of the production process in order to deliver the product to consumers in a timely manner. To clarify the production process, the method that will be used in this study is hodgson algorithm method, shortest processing time (SPT). Hodgson's algorithmic method serves to minimize the number of tardy jobs in the scheduling of production machines. The purpose of hodgson's algorithm scheduling is to improve the efficiency of scheduling the ideal production process as well as minimize unnecessary waste of time with the improvements recommended in this study. It is expected that the production process of PT. Jaya Baru Mandiri can improve its production process effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, the competition between corporate companies is getting tighter. This is a reference for the company's productivity in operating a product or service, one of which is PT.X. It can be seen from the running performance process, PT. X has constraints on the production performance process. Therefore, PT.X seeks to increase productivity in the production process. So that in this study, a proposal design was carried out on a standard operating procedure (SOP) using the Business Process Model (BPM) method. The result of the proposed design with BPM is to minimize the production time by 2 hours 40 minutes so that the production process can run more effectively and efficiently. With that, the best solution in handling this case research provides suggestions on the work process that is running with efficient improvements.

Abstract

The development of an area will increase the risk of fire. Fire will not only cause physical, material loss, it can also cause casualties. In a span of 3 years, 46 major fire cases were recorded, not including unregistered fire cases. To be able to reduce the losses incurred, the fire fighters must be able to meet the fire response time of 15 minutes. To be able to meet this response time, a water source that can be used to douse the fire is needed as well as the fastest route to get to the destination point in the shortest possible time. The method used for laying the hydrant is the distribution method using Arc Gis software. The results obtained are that it takes 26 hydrant locations that are scattered in several central business areas and densely populated in the 3 sub-districts.
