Abstract

This article aims to analyze and develop a comic-based distance learning module (PJJ) in PAI Class V subjects at SDIT DOD Medan. This study uses a research and development (RnD) approach with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data collection instruments in this study, namely observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the feasibility of the comic-based PJJ module was validated by material experts with the acquisition of a percentage of 66.25% in the valid category, validation by media experts obtained a percentage of 78.75% also in the valid category and validation from teachers of religious education subjects. Islam SDIT DOD Medan obtained a percentage of 86.67% in the very valid category, so the overall average value of the percentage is 77.22% with a valid category; (2) the practicality of the comic-based PJJ module obtained an overall average score of 83.67% in the very practical category; and (3) the effectiveness of the PJJ module on Islamic Religious Education subjects in improving student learning outcomes obtained a normalized gain (N-Gain) score of 0.52, which is in the effective category. So it can be concluded that the product of developing comic-based distance learning modules in Islamic Religious Education subjects is effective in increasing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Civic Education (PKn) in shaping national identity through a literature review method. Civic education plays a crucial role in instilling national values, love for the homeland, as well as understanding rights and responsibilities as citizens. The literature review findings indicate that Civic Education can foster a strong national identity through holistic and participatory learning. However, its implementation in the field often faces various challenges that require further attention.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of social media integration, participation and understanding of students in learning civic education, as well as recommendations for educators and policy makers in designing innovative learning strategies that are relevant to the needs of the times. It is hoped that using social media can make the learning atmosphere collaborative and dynamic. Using the literature study method, this research examines various relevant sources to analyze how social media platforms can be used as effective learning tools. The results of this study show that optimizing civic education through social media can be done by utilizing various types of social media, creating creative and innovative content, and following accounts that provide national insight. Thus, civic education can be more effective and respond to the needs of the whole community. In conclusion, the use of social media in civic education needs to be continuously developed to improve learning effectiveness. Collaboration between technology and education is key to making learning more engaging and effective for learners, and to help shape smart and ethical citizens in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the role of Civic Education (Civics Education) on the penetration of foreign cultures into Indonesian culture among adolescents. In the era of globalization, Indonesian teenagers are increasingly exposed to various foreign cultures through social media, entertainment, and direct interaction. This study aims to identify the extent to which Civics Education can shape adolescents’ attitudes and behaviors in dealing with foreign cultural influences and maintaining Indonesian cultural values. The methodology used in this study includes surveys and in-depth interviews with a sample of teenagers from various schools in Indonesia. The results showed that Civics Education plays a significant role in raising adolescents’ awareness of the importance of maintaining national cultural identity. In addition, it was found that adolescents who have a good understanding of Civics Education tend to be more selective in accepting foreign cultural elements, and are better able to filter negative influences that can damage local culture. Overall, this study confirms the importance of strengthening the Civics curriculum in schools as a strategic effort to protect and promote Indonesian culture in the midst of globalization. Thus, it is hoped that Indonesia’s young generation can become agents of change who not only appreciate, but also maintain the nation’s cultural heritage.
