Abstract

This article aims to explain two important things, first the concept of patience; second, patience contextualization in the purpose of human life through education. Patience is an inner condition that becomes the determination of the achievement of human life goals. patience is the ability to organize, control, direct behavior, feelings and actions and overcome various difficulties comprehensively, meaning able to capture the problem well and broad information to face problems, while integrative means able to see the problem in an integrated manner. Contextualization of the concept of patience can be realized in all actions of educators and learners since the beginning of education begins, both at home and at school. Patient attitudes that are experienced by educators and learners are the key to success in achieving life goals.Key Word:  The Concept of Patience, Purpose of life, education

Abstract

 Indonesian Muslims are faced with the realities of life that are multi-ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic. It must be responded critically as early as possible. The understanding of diversity (multiculturalism) should truly be the foundation of all components of the Muslim community without exception for the students. Therefore this paper intends to answer 1) material content of Quran Hadith with a multicultural perspective at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Pontianak, and 2) Development and contextualization of Qur'an Hadith material in daily life. This research was categorized as field research and literature study. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews and document analysis. Data analysis was through two models, namely content analysis and Miles and Huberman's model which involved analysis steps, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification. The authors’ findings on this study are that the content of the Quran Hadith with a multicultural perspective in Madrasah Aliyah is carried out by expanding the reading, the meaning of the implementation of tolerance, social ethics, justice, deliberation / democracy concepts which are constructed from the Islamic universal values and moderation (washathiyah) so they can foster a tolerant and empathy (alturism) attitutes to human beings as a manifestation of an obedient servant.

Abstract

Kajian ini membahas tentang proses sosio-religi mahasiswa muslim kost dalam meraih prestasi akademik dan non akademik. Prestasi merupakan manifestasi dari suatu totalitas kepribadian unggul pada seseorang yang dilalui dengan proses adaptasi. Mahasiswa kost merupakan komunitas yang dinilai banyak mengalami tantangan berat dalam lingkungannya seperti membangun keberanian mengatasi masalah, menyiapkan perlengkapan hidup sendiri serta kontrol diri yang tinggi. Untuk itu perlu melakukan proses adaptasi agar tujuan meraih prestasi akademik dan non akademik tercapai. Fokus kajian ini adalah menganalisis proses adaptasi sosio-religi mahasiswa muslim yang kost dalam meraih prestasi akademik dan non akademik. Pendekatan dalam kajian ini adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa di beberapa perguruan Tinggi di kota Pontianak. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan molel Miles & Huberman yakni koleksi data, kondensasi data, display data dan verifikasi/penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencapaian prestasi akademik dan non akademik mahasiswa muslim yang kost dilakukan melalui dua tindakan progresif. Pertama yaitu proses adaptasi sosio-religi yakni meningkatkan spiritualitas dengan ibadah dan internalisasi nilai-nilai ibadah sebagai kekuatan dalam menghadapi problem di lingkungan barunya. Kedua yaitu silaturahim dalam perspektif yang lebih luas yakni menjalin interaksi (komunikasi interpersonal dan komunal) yang dilandasi dengan sikap toleran, simpatik dan solidaritas yang tinggi sehingga mudah untuk mendapatkan modal sosial yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meraih prestasi.
