Abstract

Background: Indonesia is included in the list of countries most at risk of disaster. So that disaster preparedness is needed which is an effort to prevent the onset of crisis due to disaster which is focused on developing plans to deal with disasters. The problem that arises is that there are still many Indonesian citizens who do not know and understand what a disaster is, how to anticipate and overcome a disaster. The purpose of this community service is to increase community preparedness in the face of the impact phase of disaster in the village of Karanganyar Wonorejo. Methods: The design of this study was a quasi-experiment with a pre-post without control group design involving 29 respondents. Result: The results of education on the readiness of residents in facing the impact phase of the disaster proved to significantly increase knowledge with a p-value of 0.006. Conclusion: Increasing the readiness of citizens in facing disasters in the impact phase can be done by providing massive education and information to the community

Abstract

Background: The pandemic of COVID 19 has impact on many field include mental health. People experience fear, anxiety, and even panic attacks. Anxiety will cause many negative effects. Handling anxiety quickly can be done by providing Anxiety First Aid . The purpose of the research is to increase the citizen level of knowledge and skill about Anxiety First Aid and adaptive coping in COVID 19 pandemic. Methods: Activities carried out by three main activities such as screening of panic incident, providing Anxiety First Aid (AFA) training, and education about adaptive coping. Respondents involved were 21 residents of Bonoroto Plesungan Karanganyar Central Java. Results: There is a resident who has panic incident history. The knowledge and skill of residents increase after giving training and education. The pre-test showed that the majority of the respondents had bad knowledge (90,47% or 19 respondents) and bad skill (100% or 21 respondents). The post-test showed that the majority of the respondents had good knowledge (86% or 18 respondents) and good skill (86% or 18 respondents). Conclusion: Adaptive coping and Anxiety First Aid are highly recommended to prevent panic attacks during COVID 19 pandemic.

Abstract

Background: The benefits of breastfeeding for infants include reducing infant mortality due to diarrhea and infection, reducing mortality among malnourished children, protecting against gastrointestinal infections, as well as being a source of energy and nutrition for infants aged 6 to 23 months. While the benefits for mothers who are breastfed are reducing the risk of ovarian cancer and providing breast support after milk production, as a natural prevention method in the first six months of birth, and helping to lose weight faster with pregnancy. Vegetables / natural plants that are easily available around us that can be used to increase breast milk production. Research in addition to carbohydrates, these vegetables also contain protein, minerals (phosphorus, calcium and iron, as well as a number of vitamins A, B1 and C). Methods: The method used is to present a booklet through education. The number of respondents was 20 mothers of health cadres. Results: The result of this community service activity is an increase in knowledge about the use of style materials for breastfeeding from 75% sufficient knowledge to 80% good knowledge. Conclusion: increasing knowledge and understanding of health cadres before and before providing education through natural plant booklets to increase breast milk.
