Abstract

Smartphones make widely opportunity for us to practice the science of journalism. Anyone can cover and then spread the news. Through various social media applications,  everyone can become a reporter, deliver news to friends, spread it, and then share the news to everyone. The results of research on smartphone utilization in improving journalistic skills to 40 students of SMA Negeri 4 Medan  and 36 student of SMA Kartika I-2 Medan, the pre test showed, 95% of 10th grade students is a smartphone user with a usage period of 3 to 5 years. Because of that the students are used to taking photos and making videos with their smart phones. But its naturally is only for personal consumption and technically, the results are not good for journalistic activities. But after being given journalistic introduction training by using a smartphone, for 2 days, the post test results showed an increase in students' knowledge, about techniques for taking photos and videos of humans, objects and other moving objects, for journalistic purposes. In addition, students also recognize the existence of Citizen Journalism, citizen journalism. Key Word: Smartphone, Journalism, Students

Abstract

This research is based on important and its strategic radio community university campus in north sumatra, specialized in field broadcasting , so for is important to increase strategy management in this world broadcasting radio community .Radio community is mass media that move in broadcast , formed by a group of people and used for the masyakat also, hence if a radio slowly have lost its existence in the eyes of the community, who to be the case is a threat ke-matia-an in penyiarannya, this needs to an increase in the quality of management broadcasting according to recitation needs for a community. Type used in this research was a sort of descriptive set qualitative , by adopting of observation, interviews and documentation.  The findings of this research is, that strategy communication and management a broadcast that is carried usukom fm less spoke in terms of his application, because less than maximum in the implementation of the management broadcasting. Maintain existensi a broadcast via the command of the broadcast schedule announcer as well as opened interaction directly and indirectly, as is the case to open a request through sms, telephon and served promotion for student activities campus on demand they. Keywords: the communications strategy , radio community , existence

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan bahasa Inggris bagi pemilik homestay desa Lumban Suhi- suhi Toruan, kabupaten Samosir.  Tahapan-tahapan dalam kegiatan ini adalah (1) Tahapan awal, pre-test, (2) Tahapan inti, sosialisasi dan (3) Tahapan akhir, post-test. Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris pemilik homestay desa Lumban Suhi-suhi Toruan Kec. Samosir sehingga mereka memiliki dasar bahasa Inggris yang bermanfaat dalam menyambut wisatawan asing dalam mewujudkan desa Lumban Suhi-Suhi Toruan menjadi desa wisata.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the mukim government in efforts to improve village development in Mukim Want Jaya, Terangun District, Gayo Lues Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative where this method is a type of research method that seeks to describe and interpret objects as they are. The results of this study indicate that there is work order and control in achieving the goals carried out by the leadership in implementing public policies where the existing mukim government has carried out its orders and supervision. interaction between government and society. decisions in work procedures are where there are procedures and decisions made based on Qanun. there are actions taken by the head of the mukim in carrying out his duties and obligations such as his goal in carrying out development. However, in practice there are still some obstacles.Keywords: Role, Mukim Government, Village Development.
