Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kinerja mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas analisis video pada materi perkembangan kognitif, sosial, dan moral. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experiment dengan rancangan one shot case study design. Subjek penelitian adalah 24 mahasiswa Program Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Negeri Surabaya Angkatan 2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata nilai kinerja mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas analisis video adalah 80,94, rerata hasil belajar kognitif 78,54 dan sebagian besar mahasiswa (94,27%) memberi respon positif terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan metode penugasan analisis video.The purpose of this study is to describe the performance of students in completing the task of video analysis on the material of development of cognitive, social, and moral. This type of research is the design of pre experiment with one shot case study design. Subjects were 24 students of Biology Education Program, State University of Surabaya Force 2012. The results showed the mean value of the performance of students in completing the task of video analysis was 80.94, 78.54 average cognitive achievement and the majority of students (94.27%) responded positively to the implementation of learning with video analysis assignment method.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kelayakan petunjuk praktikum genetika dan kunci yang telah dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan Three DModels, yaitu Design, Define, dan Develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan petunjuk praktikum genetika dan kunci  memperoleh skor rerata ≥ 3,5 (rentang skala 1–4) yang dikategorikan layak secara teoritis. Keterbacaan Petunjuk praktikum genetika memperoleh rerata respon positif 89% yang dikategorikan sangat baik.   The purpose of this study is to describe the feasibility of genetics and the key lab instructions have been developed. This type of research is done is research and development using DModels Three, namely Design, Define, and Development. The results showed hint key lab of genetics and obtained a mean score ≥ 3.5 (scale range 1-4) are considered theoretically feasible. Practical tips genetics legibility obtain a positive response rates of 89% is considered very good.

Abstract

Pre-service biology teachers are required to be able to design innovative learning tools, which include lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessment. Metacognitive strategy, along with the assistance of Self Understanding Evaluation Sheet (SUES), could be considered to help them construct the learning tools. This study intended to train pre-service biology teachers’ skills in designing biology learning tools. It employed a one-shot case study design with 36 biology pre-service teachers at Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Indonesia, involved as participants. The implementation of the metacognitive strategy included revealing pre-service teachers’ prior knowledge, determining confidence, writing new knowledge, contrasting the prior knowledge with the new knowledge, and evaluating their understanding using the SUES. Results showed that all pre-service teachers were skillful in designing biology learning tools, of which the scores given by the lecturer and themselves showed the insignificant difference. Another finding portrayed that the pre-service teachers provided positive feedbacks as a response to the implementation of metacognitive strategy during the learning process in designing biology learning tools.
