The research design was carried out by using a two group pretest-post test design. It was included in the form of a quasi experiment. The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate with independent T-test. In order to get the sample, purposive sampling technique had used. It was conducted on 9 May to 11 July 2018. The results of this research showed that the average of labor pain before effluerage massage was 5.75. Then, after doing the massage the average labor pain was 5.12 with the average difference was 0.625. Meanwhile, the average labor pain before cold hot compress was 5.50 and after doing the compress the average was 4.12 with an average difference of 1.375. Abstract

Early breastfeeding initiation (IMD) is one of the actions that can influence the success of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding. Many problems of breastfeeding are caused by the inability of production and expenditure of breast milk, so mothers are forced to provide additional food at early ages (0-6 months), including in the work area of Biaro Health Center which still has problems with achieving exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hypnobreastfeeding on breastfeeding at Biaro Health Center in Agam Regency in 2018. This type of research is Quasy Experimental Design with the Two Group Post Test approach. This research was conducted in July - December 2018 in the Biaro Health Center with a population of all postpartum mothers, as many as 23 people. Sampling by purposive sampling with a sample of 20 people. Data collection used observation sheets, data analysis included univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using parametric statistics, namely independent t-test. The results showed that the average breastfeeding measured by the frequency of BAK in 24 hours in the intervention group was 7.7 and in the control group was 5.1 times. There is a difference in the average breastfeeding measured by BAK infants between the intervention group and the control group with an average difference of 2.6 times and p-value = 0.011. It was concluded that the administration of hypnobreasfeeding interventions was effective in increasing breastfeeding. For this reason, it is expected that all parties, especially health officials, can develop non-pharmacological techniques to increase breastfeeding, one of which is by providing hypnobreastfeeding interventions that have proven effective in improving breastfeeding. However, the coverage of failing in providing exclusive breastfeeding are still high in many countries. Lactagogum is a substance that can increase milk production, lactagogum can be found in the Coleus amboinicus lour plant. Purpose: To identify the effect of providing Coleus amboinicus lour ice cream on breast milk production. Methods: This research employed an experimental study with a quasi-experimental research design and three group pre-test and post-test design on 15 respondents. The variables used are consuming Coleus amboinicus lour as the independent variable and milk production for the dependent variable. Statistical test using univariate and bivariate data analysis and Paired sample t test, using SPSS V. 26 Results: The results showed that 3 groups consisted of 15 respondents with the average breast milk production based on the baby’s weight of 3020 grams before consuming ice cream, 2940 grams after consuming 15 grams of ice cream, and 3040 grams after consuming 25 grams of ice cream. Besides, the frequency value of the baby’s weight after the treatment increased to 3051 grams, 3120 grams with 15 grams of ice cream, 3258 grams with 25 grams of ice cream. The Paired sample t-test obtained p = 0.0005 (p <0.05) and the independent t-test obtained a sig value of 0.015 and a sig. 0.008 (< 0.05) Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is an effect of giving Coleus amboinicus lour ice cream on the increase of breast milk production. It is suggested to provide Coleus amboinicus lour ice cream can be a solution in providing exclusive breastfeeding services for smooth breastfeeding.
