Abstract

Pain is an unpleasant feeling things that are perceived by osteoarthritis patients. Now to overcome the painpharmacological treatment alone is not enough, sh ouldalso be granted non- pharmacological treatment withherbal treatment, ginger contains anti - inflammatory and anti–inflammatory which proven to reduce pain.The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of warm compresses decoction of ginger todecreasethe pain of osteoarthritis. The types of research used approach one group pra-post test design. The samplestudied is 19 people with technique sampling rendom sampling with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Theindependent variable is warm compresses decoction of ginger, while the dependent variable is the pain ofosteoarthritis with parameters ginger is boiled and used as a compress as well as facial expressions andranges pain to determine pain intensity,with ordinal scale will be used wilcoxon test to determine the effect ofthe experiment with criteria painless (0), mild pain (1-3),moderate pain (4-6), severe pain (7-9) and verysevere pain ( 10 ). Collecting data using instruments vas with a range of 1-10 who have tested the validityand reliabelitasnya then the data collected in the edit coding assessed the score later in the tabulation . Theresults showed before to warm ginger decoction obtained 4 mild pain (21%), pain was 12 people (63.2%), 3severe pain (15.8%) After compresses a change of 60%. The increase in painless 2 (10.5 %) , mild pain 7people (36.8%) , pain was 9 people (47.4%), severe pain one person (5.3%). Based on statistical testWilcoxon p-value of 0,000 (<0.05), which means H1 accepted. The conclusions of research there is effect ofwarm compresses decoction of ginger to decrease the pain of osteoarthritis.

Abstract

Patient preoperative basically experiencing anxiety before the procedure , where a patient needs to be given relaxation , where the relaxation can be influential for patient preoperative useful to lower the patient's level of anxiety . This study aimed to analyze the effect of guided imagery relaxation techniques to decrease the level of anxiety in patients with preoperative in Mawar ward Jombang general hospital.This kind of research using pre experiment by using one group pretest - posttest design . The sampling technique used was simple random sampling and obtained a sample of 21 respondents. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire. Data processingediting, coding, scoring, tabulating. Analysis of the data in this study using a statistical test Wilcoxon with software. The independent variable is the relaxation guided imagery while the dependent variable is a decrease in the level of anxiety in patients before surgeryResults showed before being given a guided imagery relaxation 6 (28.57 % ) of respondents have moderate anxiety , 13 ( 61.9 % ) of respondents have severe anxiety and 2 ( 9.52 % ) of respondents who have very severe anxiety . After being given a guided imagery relaxation 5 ( 23.81 % ) of respondents have moderate anxiety , 11 ( 52.38 % ) of respondents have a mild anxiety and 5 ( 23.81 % ) of respondents have normal anxiety . Wilcoxon test results obtained value of p = 0.000 <0.05 then the H1 is acceptedThe conclusion of this study is that there is the influence of guided imagery relaxation techniques to decrease the level of anxiety in Mawar Ward Jombang General Hospital.

Abstract

The high disability due to stroke every stroke patients resulted in decreased independence in performing activities of daily living. The number of stroke patients who continue to increase until the year 2013 is estimated 500 thousand persons had a stroke. Of this amount, about 2.5% of them died and the rest suffered mild or severe disability, and preliminary studies showed there were 50 stroke patients in the hospital inpatient RSUD Caruban. The purpose of this study to know the Family Relationship Support the Independence of Patients With Stroke (in space Inpatient Hospital RSUD Caruban).Analytical study design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of stroke patients in the hospital inpatient RSUD Caruban, as many as 50 patients, with a total sample of 44 sampling using simple random sampling technique. Independent variables in this study Family Support, Dependent Variable is the independence of Stroke Patients. Instrument in the form of questionnaires. Analysis of data through editing, coding, scoring, tabulating the Spearman Rank's test.The results showed that the relationship with the family support independence of stroke patients Spearman Rank's test statistics obtained significant numbers or probability value (0.002) significantly lower standard of 0.05 or ( <), then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means There Family Relations Support the Independence of Stroke Patients. It can be concluded that there is a family relationship support the independence of stroke patients in the hospital inpatient RSUD Caruban.Keywords: Family Support, Independence, Stroke.
