Abstract

Abstract. Traditional Health Services is a treatment or therapy using methods and medication that is based on the experience and skills of our ancestors that can be accounted for and is in accordance with the norms prevailing in the community. One example is acupressure, ehich is a healing method that uses pressure on certain points of the body or acupuncture points. This type of service has been regulated in various laws on traditional health. However, not all Health Centers provide this service. In South Jakarta City, there are only two Health Centers that provide acupressure services. This is a qualitative research, and aims to analyze the policies and implementation of the implementation of acupressure services in the Health Centers and its obstacles. The data was collected through in-depth interviews and document review. In this study we found that the quality and quantity of health workers trained in acupressure and their comprehension of the program was inadequate. In addition, the room for acupressure is only found in health centers that have provided this service. Communication is still a problem, because there is no regulation socialization regarding the regulation of acupressure services for policy implementers. However, 60% of patients were satisfied with the services provided.

Abstract

Abstract

Teleconsultation is a form of telemedicine that has developed rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Clinical teleconsultation provides remote clinical consultation services to assist in establishing a diagnosis, and/or providing treatment considerations/advice. There are several issues in telemedicine, including ethical and legal issues. This study aims to find ethical and legal issues related to teleconsultation services after the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses normative legal research methods. The laws and regulations that are reviewed by the researcher are those that are still valid in the Republic of Indonesia until June 2022. Researchers compare teleconsultation regulations and laws that were in effect during the pre-pandemic COVID-19 period with those that were in effect during the pandemic. Moreover, researchers examine ethical and legal issues that will arise during the COVID-19 endemic period. In conclusion, if the regulations during the pre-pandemic period are reimplemented during the endemic period, ethical and legal issues will arise. The issues vary from teleconsultation can only be provided by medical facilities like hospitals instead of direct consultation between doctor and patients. Furthermore, the applications must be legally issued and registered by the government, particularly from the ministry of health. Diagnosis enforcement does not follow professional standards in  terms of physical examinations is also an issue. Besides, there are more issues such as electronic prescription is not allowed and doctors must be able to prove that there are no intentional factors in the cases of patients’ data leakage and medical record hacking. In this way, the government is expected to make basic changes in the existing teleconsultaion laws and regulations or to make specific teleconsultation laws and regulations with the purpose of providing legal protections for doctors.

Long acting reversible contraception (LARC) is deemed as the most efficient contraceptive metod. However, it faces significant refusal among women worldwide. This study aimed to determine the reason of LARC refusal among reproductive age women. A scoping review was done using a guideline from Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) on studies performed on Asian developing countries. The results showed that a total of seven articles were analyzed. The most common reason for LARC refusal was the disagreement of husband or other family members. Prior knowledge of LARC might increase the acceptance of LARC. In conclusion, since the most common reason for LARC refusal was the disagreement of husband or other family members, education of LARC method on pregnant women, their spouses, and their families is essential to reduce that rate of LARC refusal. Keywords: contraception; long acting reversible contraception; refusal

Abstract

The Hospital Infection Prevention and Control Program (HIPCP) is an effort to reduce the risk of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), including hand hygiene compliance. WHO issued the Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy as one of the strategies to tackle low hand hygiene compliance. Dr. M. Goenawan Partowidigdo Pulmonary Hospital (RSPG) has implemented hand hygiene regulations referring to the current policies, but it has not met the target over the last three years. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the regulation of hand hygiene compliance at RSPG according to the WHO Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy, using an analytical descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The analysis uses the combination of the theory of George Edward III, Weaver, and the WHO Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy. WHO Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy assessment was conducted by scoring the Hand Hygiene Self-Assessment Framework (HHSAF). The results showed the lowest percentage of HHSAF scores on the bureaucratic structure variable, but the most important variable was the resource variable, namely human resources, related to activeness and behavior issues. These issues were obtained from in-depth interviews developed from structured questions on HHSAF. Hand Hygiene of RSPG is at an intermediate level. Researchers recommend behavioral enforcement with appreciative inquiry in addition to reward and punishment as an effort to improve compliance with the implementation of hand hygiene regulations at RSPG.
