Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to further address this gap with pupils to understand further game-based learning. The study was conducted at Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat. Five students (grade 5) of Tacurong Pilot Elementary School were selected purposively and considered their availability. The researchers used semi-structured questionnaires via an online one-on-one interview with the participants through Google Meet. This was to find out that the game-based activity method makes them more interested in learning and it becomes easier for them generally to answer their homework and activities using the game-based method. It is disclosed that the use of games to show educational content inevitably raises the question of their compatibility with deep learning. Despite their disadvantages, games have a series of undeniable positive features: using one and also the same game to develop several skills in students at once; providing visual, life-like examples for practical situations; forcing all learners to undertake learning, discovery, thinking, thus enhancing self-esteem and self-improvement.

Abstract

This study is to determine how Latin dances are implemented and how students accept Latin dances as one of their core subjects. Also, this study was to highlight that there are limited studies related to the implementation and acceptance of Latin dances in the Senior high school curriculum. The study used a quantitative-correlational design and employed a complete enumeration sampling technique in selecting the respondents. The finding shows that Latin dances in the senior high school curriculum were not fully implemented and it needs to be strengthened. The acceptance of Latin dances is slightly accepted. Lastly, it was also concluded that there is a significant relationship between implementation and acceptance of Latin dance in senior high school. Thus, this research can contribute to the development of how Latin Dances teaches in Senior high school, for it provides information about the result about the implementation and acceptance of Latin dances in Senior high school curriculum.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of the students in the new normal through observational and instructional learning. This study used a quantitative research design to make it possible and achievable. The researchers choose a descriptive – correlational design to correlate the difference between the levels of performance in the observational and instructional learning of the Bachelor of Physical Education students in Sultan Kudarat State University ACCESS CAMPUS. The study used the total population sampling in determining the samples of the study. The researchers have surveyed all the students of Bachelor of Physical Education 2nd year with a total of 33 participants in Sultan Kudarat State University and used a survey questionnaire via Google forms provided by the researchers following the new normal protocol. The results revealed that observational learning was rated very high as most of the respondents strongly agree with the use of observation. The instructional learning was rated high that most of the students rely on both observation and instruction given by the teachers. The students increase the overall performance and have a big effective contribution in acquiring and imparting knowledge and skills to the students despite the new learning. Our analysis showed that there is no significant difference between observational and instructional learning in the level of the performance of the students, therefore, the observational and instructional learning in the new normal has a greater contribution in assessing students’ performance.
