Abstract

Abstract: Bank liquidity has become a serious concern of the government with the issuance of a regulation requiring banks in Indonesia to meet the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR). However, efforts to build liquidity resilience have resulted in banks having to make adjustments to their capital structure so that they are suspected of having an influence on their solvency. This study investigates the effect of the level of liquidity on the level of solvency of Indonesian banks, which is proxied by the level of capital ratios and debt ratios during the 2013-2019 period using banking data listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results of this study prove that the liquidity variable proxied by the loan-to-asset ratio (LAR) has a negative effect on the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) but has a positive effect on the debt-to-asset ratio (DAR). Meanwhile, the liquidity estimated by the current ratio (CR) does not affect the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) but has a negative effect on the debt-to-asset ratio (DAR).Abstrak: Aspek likuiditas bank telah menjadi perhatian serius pemerintah dengan dikeluarkannya peraturan yang mewajibkan bank di Indonesia untuk memenuhi liquidity coverage ratio (LCR). Namun upaya membentuk ketahanan likuiditas tersebut mengakibatkan bank harus melakukan penyesuaian struktur permodalannya sehingga diduga memiliki pengaruh terhadap solvabilitasnya. Penelitian ini melakukan investigasi pengaruh tingkat likuiditas terhadap tingkat solvabilitas perbankan Indonesia yang diproksikan dengan tingkat capital ratio dan debt ratio selama periode 2013-2019 dengan menggunakan data perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa variabel likuiditas yang diproksikan dengan loan-to-asset ratio (LAR) berpengaruh negatif terhadap capital adequacy ratio (CAR) tetapi berpengaruh positif terhadap debt-to-asset ratio (DAR). Sedangkan likuiditas yang diestimasi dengan current ratio (CR) tidak berpengaruh terhadap capital adequacy ratio (CAR) tetapi berpengaruh negatif terhadap debt-to-asset ratio (DAR)

Abstract

In recent years, consumers are facilitated with online shop applications and websites. They are no longer needed to visit the “brick-and-mortar” shop to satisfy their needs and wants. Consumers can access the online shop as long as they smart phones are connected to internet network. Online shop also offers a great variety of products and services. This is an interesting topics to be discussed and researched. This reasearch is aimed to provide the evidence that there are positive affects among perceived security, ease of payment, trust in application/website, and online shopping intention. 450 respondents are participated in this research. Path analysis is used to examine the six hypotheses. The result shows that most of hypotheses are supported except H1b which states that perceived security positively affects online shopping intention. Keywords: online shop, smart phone, websites, perceived security, ease of payment, trust in application/website, online shopping intention, online consumers.

Abstract

This paper describes empirical evidence which investigates the effect of boards’ characteristics and voluntary disclosure on the accounting information value relevance. Voluntary disclosure (VD) is measured by voluntary disclosure index, a measure which in line with some regulations in Indonesia, especially the Company Act No. 40 of 2007 about the limited corporation; board’s characteristics are proxy by board’s independence (BIN) and board’s size (BSIZE), whereas value relevance is measured by the Ohlson Price Model. Using the 119 manufacturing firms listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) for the year of 2011 to 2015 as a sample, taken by purposive sampling technique, this study finds that the voluntary disclosure strengthens the value relevance of earnings number but decreases the value relevance of book value number. Moreover, board size strengthens the value relevance of earnings and book value. Finally, board independence strengthens the value relevance of earnings number and book value number. This study provides additional evidence about the influence of boards’ characteristics and the effect of voluntary disclosure on the value relevance of accounting information with the evidence from Indonesia.  Paper ini menguraikan hasil penelitian yang menginvestigasi pengaruh pengungkapan karakteristik dewan komisaris dan pengungkapan sukarela terhadap relevansi nilai informasi akuntansi. Pengungkapan sukarela (VD) diukur menggunkaan indeks pengungkapan, sesuai dengan regulasi yang berlaku di Indonesia, khususnya Undang- undang Perseroan Terbatas No. 40 tahun 2007 tentang perseroan terbatas; karakteristik dewan komisaris diproksi dengan independensi (BIN) dan ukuran (BSIZE), sedangkan relevansi nilai diukur dengan Model Harga Ohlson. Dengan menggunakan data perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Ilndonesia (IDX) pada tahun 2011 sampai 2017 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pengungkapan sukarela memperkuat relevansi nilai laba namun menurunkan relevansi nilai untuk nilai buku. Selain itu, ukuran dewan komisaris memperkuat relevansi nilai laba dan nilai buku. Terakhir, independensi dewan komisaris juga memperkuat relevansi nilai laba dan nilai buku. Hasil penelitian ini melengkapi hasil penelitian sebelumnya tentang pengaruh karakteristik dewan komisaris dan pengungkapan sukarela terhadap relevansi nilai informasi dengan menggunakan data perusahaan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of corporate governance, firm characteristics, disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firm value. It analyzes the firms which became the participants of the 2014 Sustainability Report Award. Corporate governance is proxied by the proportion of independent commissioners, while firm characteristic is proxied through the age of the firm. Meanwhile, the disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the sustainability report is stated in the Corporate Social Responsibility Index (CSRI). The firm value was calculated using the Tobins’Q formula. The hypothesis was tested using linear regression. The test results show corporate governance and firm characteristics have a positive effect on firm value. Meanwhile, corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure has a positive but insignificant effect on the dependent variable. If all independent variables are tested simultaneously, all three variables have a positive effect. Periode penelitian tahun 2014-2018 yang merupakan perusahaan peserta Sustainability Report Award 2014. Corporate governance diproksi dengan proporsi dewan komisaris independen. Kemudian karakteristik perusahaan diproksi melalui umur perusahaan yang dihitung dari tahun berdiri perusahaan dikurangi dengan tahun penelitian. Sedangkan pengungkapan corporate social responsibility (CSR) pada laporan sustainability report dinyatakan dalam Corporate Social Responsibility Index (CSRI) yang disyaratkan oleh Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Variabel dependen nilai perusahaan dihitung menggunakan rumus tobins’Q. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 19 perusahaan. Pengujian hipotesis dengan regresi linear. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan corporate governance dan karakteristik perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai perusahaan. Sedangkan pengungkapan corporate social responsibility (CSR) berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan. Jika seluruh variabel independen diuji secara bersamaan, ketiga variabel mempunyai pengaruh positif. Namun pengungkapan corporate social responsibility (CSR) tidak memiliki pengaruh yang siginifikan.Kata kunci: corporate governance, karakteristik perusahaan, corporate social responsibility (CSR), nilai perusahaan, sustainability report.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh corporate governance terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan manajemen laba sebagai variabel moderasi. Sampel penelitian adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia untuk tahun fiskal yang berakhir tanggal 31 Desember 2015 sampai 2019. Manajemen laba diukur menggunakan discretionary accruals yang dihitung dengan menggunakan Modified Jones Model. Corporate governance diproksikan dengan dewan direksi. Nilai Perusahaan diproksikan dengan menggunakan Tobin’s Q. Metode analisis data menggunakan regresi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa corporate governance berpengaruh negatif terhadap nilai perusahaan. Selain itu, manajemen laba memperlemah hubungan antara corporate governance dengan nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dengan cara melengkapi temuan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya yang berhubungan dengan teori keagenan terutama hubungan antara corporate governance dengan nilai perusahaan. Kontribusi lainnya yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan oleh investor untuk menilai transparansi pelaporan keuangan perusahaan.ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the effect of corporate governance on firm value with earnings management as a moderating variable. The research sample is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2015, to 2019. Earnings management is measured using discretionary accruals calculated using the Modified Jones Model. Corporate governance is proxied by the board of directors. Firm value is proxied using Tobin's Q. The data analysis method uses regression. The results of this study found that corporate governance has a negative effect on firm value. In addition, earnings management weakens the relationship between corporate governance and firm value. This research contributes by complementing the findings of previous studies related to agency theory, especially the relationship between corporate governance and firm value. Other contributions that are expected from this research can be used by investors to assess the transparency of the company's financial reporting.

Abstract

AbstractThis study investigates the value relevance of accounting information on manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for 2012-2017. This study uses the accounting-based Ohlson's (1995) model, which includes earnings (EPS) and book value (BVS) as variables. This study shows a direct relationship between financial statements and firm value. The value relevance does not increase, yet both the value relevance for EPS and BVS, although in specific years, does. The results show that individual BVS decreases with a better amount than EPS from 2012 to 2015. Meanwhile, in 2016-2017 BVS value decreased below EPS value.  AbstrakPenelitian ini menginvestigasi relevansi nilai informasi akuntansi pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2012-2017. Abstract

Abstract. The objectives of this research are to integrate the Technology Acceptance Model with consumer’s trust and prove the consequences on online shopping intention. The variables which analyzed in this research are consumer’s trust, perceived of usefulness, perceived of ease of use, consumer’s attitude, and online shopping intention. The sampling techniques are the combination of purposive and snowball sampling, so it can be obtained 1.773 respondents from several provinces in Indonesia. Model fit analysis is conducted to test the indices of χ2, χ2/d.f., GFI, RMSEA, AGFI, TLI, and NFI. Thereafter, path analysis with AMOS-SEM is used to test the significant and positive research hypotheses. Based on research hypotheses test, it can be concluded that the eight hypotheses in this research are supported and can confirm that TAM and consumer’s trust can be integrated. Keywords: consumer’s attitude; consumer’s trust; online shopping intention; perceived ease of use; perceived usefulness; TAM Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengintegrasikan Model Penerimaan Teknologi dengan kepercayaan konsumen dan membuktikan konsekuensinya terhadap intensi belanja online. Variabel yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah kepercayaan konsumen, persepsi kegunaan, persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, sikap konsumen, dan intensi belanja online. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan kombinasi purposive dan snowball sampling sehingga diperoleh 1.773 responden dari beberapa provinsi di Indonesia. Peneliti melakukan analisis model fit dengan menguji indeks χ2, χ2/d.f., GFI, RMSEA, AGFI, TLI, dan NFI. Kemudian, Pengujian hipotesis-hipotesis penelitian yang positive dan signifikan menggunakan analisis jalur dengan AMOS-SEM. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis-hipotesis penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa delapan hipotesis peneltian ini didukung dan dapat mengkonfirmasi bahwa TAM dan kepercayaan konsumen dapat diintegrasikan. Katakunci: intensi belanja online; kepercayaan konsumen; persepsi kegunaan; persepsi kemudahan penggunaan; sikap konsumen; TAM

Abstract

This study aims to find out that brand image, product quality, and price affect the interest in buying MS Glow products. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis. The research data was obtained through distributing questionnaires with sampling, the population determination that I used with the random sampling technique used totaled 57 respondents taken from students. The results of this study indicate that brand image and product quality affect interest buying of MS Glow products. Meanwhile, simultaneous testing shows that brand image, product quality and price affect interest buying of MS Glow products.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the effect of sales growth and asset structure on capital structure in manufacturing industry companies. The data used in this research is secondary data in financial reports. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The number of samples that match the criteria is 100 manufacturing industry companies with the 2016-2020 research period. Sales growth is measured by comparing sales in year t after deducting sales in the previous period to sales in the previous period, asset structure is measured by the fixed assets ratio, and capital structure is measured by the debt ratio. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that sales growth had no significant effect on capital structure, while asset structure had a significant effect on capital structure in manufacturing industry companies.
