Abstract

Children with special needs have several characteristics including difficulty communicating, learning difficulties, not easy to follow orders, emotional, difficult to write or read, behave according to habits, like to imitate, high sensitivity, and introvert. Children with special needs need more attention. The Lentera Fajar Indonesia Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM) is an institution that accommodates children with special needs aimed at providing assistance, guidance, and independence from an early age. This activity aims to determine whether snack processing education using Skill Worksheets (LKK) and Video can be used as a means to stimulate and train the skills of students with special needs. The method used in this activity is a demonstration method using media in the form of worksheets and video snack processing. . The results obtained from the activity are: 1) snack processing education using LKK and video tutorials followed by demonstrations at each processing stage and followed directly by students causing students' interest and enthusiasm to take part in each processing stage, 2) student learning resistance increases up to 40%, namely from 90 minutes to 150 minutes without leaving the study area, 3) students need assistance from accompanying teachers in understanding the contents of skill worksheets, 4) the use of Skills Worksheets and videos to train motor skills was responded positively by accompanying teachers with suggestions for increasing the volume of the voice. adjust to the child's condition.

Abstract

Nutrition education about fish is one of the efforts to encourage people to consume fish and prevent stunting in children under five years. Nutrition education about fish requires media that is able to motivate the target. Video can provide a stimulus eye and ear so that the results are more maximum. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using video on the mastery of knowledge and attitudes towards eating fish by mothers of toddlers in the Kenjeran Surabaya. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study were mothers of children under five in the Kenjeran. The research sample amounted to 50 mothers of children under five were taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out before (pre) and after (post) intervention. The experimental group used video and the control group used sound recordings. The intervention was carried out 3 times. The results of the t-test dependent of the pretest and posttest values of the knowledge and attitude aspects in each group showed a significant effect (p = <0.000). Then, the t-test independent showed that there was a significant difference in the mean knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitude (p = 0.000) between the use of video and sound recording. The results showed that the use of video had an effect on the mastery of knowledge and attitudes towards fish eating by mothers of children under five in the Kenjeran.

Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem in children under 5 years old as seen on the z-score value from the measurement of height for age <-2 standard deviations (stunted) or <-3 (severely stunted). Stunting shows the condition of children who fail to thrive due to chronic malnutrition. In addition to having an impact on physical growth disorders, stunting also affects brain development. Stunting conditions are only seen after the child is over 2 years old and the situation can be more serious if it is not catch-up growth. One of the efforts to reduce the nutritional problems of stunting children is to change the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of parents through education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using videos through YouTube on mothers' mastery and attitudes about MP-ASI in Bubutan District, Surabaya. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research with a nonequivalent control groupThe study sample included 36 mothers who had children under the age of 2 years, divided into experimental and control groups, with 18 respondents in each group. The results of the paired sample t-test showed that there was a significant difference (p = 0.000) between the pretest and posttest values of knowledge and attitudes in both groups. The independent sample t-test (p = 0.000) showed a difference in the average knowledge and attitudes between the use of video media through YouTube and reading sheet about complementary foods. The conclusions of this study indicate that using videos through YouTube can increase the mastery of knowledge and attitudes of mothers who have children under two years about complementary feeding and is better than using reading sheet about complementary foods.

Abstract

Snack Bar merupakan camilan berbentuk batangan yang berasal dari sereal dan kacang-kacangan. Produk Snack Bar telah banyak dikembangkan dengan menambahkan berbagai bahan salahsatunya buah-buahan. Penambahan buah strawberry pada Snack Bar bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kandungan gizi Snack Bar sehingga dapat dikonsumsi sebgai camilan sehat. Jenis penelitian eksperimen berupa pembuatan produk Snack Bar Strawberry. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandunga gizi Snack Bar Strawberry dan tingkat penerimaan/kesukaan panelis berdasarkan warna, aroma, tesktur dan rasa. Pengambilan data penerimaan produk dengan observasi menggunakan instrument pada 30 panelis. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan persentase Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat penerimaan/kesukaan terhadap Snack Bar Strawberry yaitu; 80% suka terhadap warna, 73,33 % suka terhadap aroma, 56,66% suka terhadap tekstur dan 83,33% suka terhadap rasa. Kandungan gizi Snack Bar Strawberry yaitu Karbohidrat (195g), protein (43,3g), vitamin C (70mg) dan vitamin E (15mg). Snack Bar Strawberry dapat digunakan sebagai camilan sehat tinggi protein dan antioksidan. Hasil produk Snack Bar Strawberry yang dibuat menggunakan madu memiliki tekstur yang kurang kokoh sehingga perlu penggunaan gula caramel untuk memperkuat tekstur.

Abstract

Pengetahuan dan sikap tentang pemenuhan gizi perlu dimiliki oleh ibu hamil untuk membentuk perilaku ibu dalam pemenuhan gizi baik untuk ibu maupun bayinya. Metode permainan simulasi beberan dalam pendidikan gizi dapat memberi kesempatan peserta berpartisipasi aktif dan memperoleh umpan balik terhadap tahapan belajar melalui fungsi masing-masing peran dalam permainan simulasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode permainan beberan terhadap penguasaan pengetahuan dan perubahan sikap tentang gizi ibu hamil dan gizi ibu menyusui pada ibu hamil di Desa Ngepung, Kec. Patianrowo, Kab. Nganjuk. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi-eksperiment dengan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-postest. Sampel penelitian merupakan total sampling sebanyak 33 ibu hamil. Instrumen penelitian ini tediri dari lembar tes untuk mengukur penguasaan pengetahuan dan angket untuk mengukur sikap. Teknik analisis data pengetahuan ibu menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Test, sedangkan untuk data sikap menggunakan Paired T-test. Hasil rata-rata pengetahuan pada topik gizi ibu hamil 56,2 meningkat sebesar 31,1 menjadi 87,3. Rata rata pengetahuan topik bahasan gizi ibu menyusui 52,3 meningkat sebesar 33 menjadi 85,3. Skor sikap ibu hamil topik gizi ibu hamil adalah 72 meningkat sebesar 12 menjadi 84. Rata-rata skor topik gizi ibu menyusui adalah 74,79 meningkat sebesar 9,69 menjadi 84,48. Analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan penggunaan metode permainan beberan terhadap penguasaan pengetahuan gizi dan adanya pengaruh signifikan penggunaan metode permainan beberan terhadap perubahan sikap gizi ibu hamil di Desa Ngepung, Kec. Patianrowo. Saran pada penelitian ini pendidikan gizi dengan metode permainan simulasi beberan dapat menjadi alternatif yang dapat selalu dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil.
