Abstract

Fairclough mengemukakan bahwa analisis teks merupakan analisis terhadap teks yang terdapat dalam wacana. Teks dinilai sebagai ranah representasi pemahaman dan pengalaman dari pembuat teks itu sendiri. Teks terbuka untuk berbagai interpretasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis praktik tekstual dari wacana berita korupsi di media televise. Media televisi tersebut adalah Metro TV dan NET. Ada tiga tahapan dalam menganalisis wacana dengan perspektif Norman Fairclough, yakni deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan metodologis yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan teoretis analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, pada aspek kosakata ditemukan adanya penyusunan kosakata kembali pada Metro TV dan NET. Kemudian juga lebih sering ditemukan pendayagunaan metafora dalam konstruksi wacana berita di NET. Kedua aspek kosakata tersebut memiliki maksud untuk menegaskan dan mengaburkan maksud yang sebenarnya. Selain kosakata, analisis tekstual juga meliputi aspek tata bahasa dengan mendayagunakan ketransitifan, kalimat positif negatif, dan modalitas, serta mendayagunakan struktur tekstual sesuai dengan piramida terbalik dengan pola konstruksi teks berita.Fairclough stated that the text analysis is the analysis of text that involves in the discourse. The text represents the comprehension and experience by the writer of text itself. Moreover, the text can be interpreted in many ways. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the textual analysis in the corruption news in the television. The object of this study was from Metro TV and NET. There are three steps for critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough, including description, interpretation, and explanation. The approach of this study was the methodological approach, including descriptive qualitative and theoretical critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough. Based on this research, in the aspect of lexical choices was found that there was rewording in arrangement of lexical choices in the news of Metro TV and NET. In addition, it used metaphor in construction of discourse in NET. Two aspect of lexical choices itself was used to strengthen and manipulate absolutely real meaning or intention from the news. Besides the lexical choices, the textual analysis involves grammatical aspect that used transitive sentence, positive and negative sentence, and modality, and textual structure with conversed pyramid through construction news discourse pattern.

Abstract

Mastering Indonesian language for all students is important despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on students' conditions and government provisions related to the pandemic, the teachers need a form of adaptation in the Indonesian language learning for students with disabilities in inclusive schools. This qualitative research finds adaptations of Indonesian language learning for students with special needs in twelve inclusive schools in five Yogyakarta's districts during the Covid-19 pandemic. Using a purposive sampling, 15 classroom teachers and special education staff were selected as key informants. Data was collected by interview, documentation, and literature study. Learning adaptation based on the conditions of the students' abilities emphasizes the modification and accommodation of learning strategies that include material, methods, media, and evaluation.[Pandemi Covid-19 tidak mengubah pentingnya kompetensi Bahasa Indonesia sebagai kemampuan akademik dasar bagi semua siswa. Berdasarkan keragaman kondisi siswa difabel dan ketentuan pemerintah terkait pandemi, guru perlu melakukan adaptasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah inklusif. Penelitian kualitatif ini menemukan berbagai bentuk adaptasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi siswa difabel khusus di sekolah inklusif di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi pembelajaran mencakup materi, metode, media, dan evaluasi. Adaptasi pembelajaran dalam situasi pandemi Covid-19 ialah pelaksanaan pembelajaran dari rumah dengan penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual yang menggunakan teknologi sebagai media interaksi dan konten materi.]

Abstract

Textbooks are one important component in the learning process. It is hoped that Indonesian textbooks will not only have linguistics and literature, but there will also be the inculcation of the values of character education. This study aims to describe the cultivation of religious character education in Indonesian Language textbooks at SMP Curriculum 2013. The research conducted was a descriptive qualitative study. The data in this study are in the form of phrases, words, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and discourses that contain content about inculcation of character education in Indonesian textbooks for SMP Curriculum 2013. In this study, the data were obtained from Indonesian textbooks Class VII, VIII, and IX Curriculum 2013. In this study, the research instrument is a researcher who is equipped with theories about character education. In addition, researchers are equipped with instruments in the form of data cards containing religious character education. The instrument was validated by content validation by experts (expert judgment) conducted by language teaching experts. The validity of the data is done by peer examination techniques through discussion or Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data analysis in this study uses an interactive analysis model.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze how mass television represents the news about corruption news as well as why mass television creates the corruption news itself. the mass television were Metro TV and NET as the objects of this study. The approach was descriptive qualitative by using critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough. There are three steps of critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough, including description, interpretation, and explanation. Based on this study, there are three aspects of creating news at Metro TV and NET. The first aspect is situational aspect, news discourse is influenced by politic situation in the beginning 2017 by holding Governor selection in DKI Jakarta and the owners of mass television use their authority to support their choices of Governor. Moreover, there is agreement about Peraturan Presiden (Perpres) No. 87 in 2016 about Satuan Tugas Sapu Bersih Pungutan Liar by Joko Widodo at October 2016. The second aspect is institutional aspect, there is the rival among the owner of mass television, KPK, and institution of corruption. The third aspect is social aspect, including economic, politic, and social context that become enthustiasm by citizens to support the institution of corruption itself.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam novel Jejak Langkah dan Rumah Kaca karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan data kualitatif berupa satuan peristiwa yang memuat nilai-nilai budaya yang diperoleh dari kedua novel tersebut. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti yang dibekali seperangkat teori poskolonial dan nilai budaya. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan dokumentasi dan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dengan berpijak pada teori poskolonial dan nilai budaya. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam kedua novel tersebut tersebut terbagi menjadi dua kategori, yaitu nilai budaya modern dan nilai budaya tradisional.

Abstract

This study aims to decipher the use of authorial pronoun we as a politeness strategy in the EFL academic writing. The data consist of 56 published research articles taken from the Corpus of State University of Malang Indonesian Learners’ English. The articles were written by Indonesian undergraduate students co-authored with their thesis supervisors. Attempting to categorize pronoun we into inclusive, exclusive, and ambiguous types in the co-authored texts, we identify seven functions of the authorial pronoun. The result unveils that the ambiguous authorial pronoun we appear to be the most frequently used politeness device to minimize face threatening acts (FTA).

Abstract

Bahasa dan seksisme merupakan wacana yang terus berkembang seiring dengan munculnya gerakan gender maupun feminisme di segala bidang termasuk linguistik. Bahasa seksis biasanya menyajikan stereotip-stereotip tentang laki-laki dan perempuan yang kadang merugikan salah satu dari keduanya. Untuk menghindari adanya kerancuan dalam pemahaman arti kosakata dan menghindari adanya sikap seksis pada suatu pihak gender, bahasa yang tidak bermuatan sexist atau gender free harus digunakan, seperti menghindari penggunaan kata “siswa” dan “siswi” dan menggantikannya dengan kata “murid” yang muatannya lebih netral. Namun, di dalam bahasa Indonesia memang ada beberapa kosakata yang bertalian erat dengan jenis kelamin sangat sarat dengan ketimpangan. Kosakata tersebut merupakan kosakata serapan dari bahasa sumber yang di dalam sistem gramatikanya mengenal jenis kelamin.

Abstract

Eyang Rama is the name of the learning media product produced in this research and development. Eyang Rama is an acronym for Educational Cartoon Wayang Ramayana. This research is included in the Research & Development research. Research & Development (RnD). The data in this study were collected using questionnaires. Data is obtained from users, namely teachers and students. The analysis is carried out with descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the collected data, the results of this study are that Eyang Rama was developed through four stages, namely: 1) the analysis stage, the media design stage, the media development stage, and the trial stage; 2) the effectiveness rate of Eyang Rama is 84.2%. The figure is obtained from user ratings, namely teachers 82% and students 86%. This figure shows that this media is effectively used for character-charged wayang learning for junior high school students in Yogyakarta.

Distance education is an organized educational process that bridges the separation between students and educators mediated by the use of technology and minimal face-to-face meetings. Distance education evolved from correspondent education to education through e-learning across time and space. Currently, in Indonesia, even in all countries in the world there is an outbreak of Covid-19 which results in learning in the field of education having to change from face-to-face learning to distance learning. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of distance learning for children with special needs in inclusive schools in the new era of normality. The method used in this research is qualitative research with online interview data collection techniques, documentation, and literature studies related to children with special needs during the COVID 19 pandemic. Qualitative data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification. Based on the purposive random sampling technique, this study involved 15 informants consisting of classroom teachers and Special Advisors from 12 inclusive schools in all districts in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The results of the study revealed that distance learning which is applied in inclusive elementary schools in Yogyakarta is learning that is carried out online by utilizing various learning media both using the internet network and not Course materials are distributed online, communicated also carried out online, and all forms of examinations are also carried out online. The result of implementing distance learning in inclusive elementary schools is that learning the Indonesian language that is carried out remotely has a positive effect in the form of increased mastery of reading, listening, writing, and speaking competencies for children with special needs during the Covid-19 pandemic. The learning component that has the most influence is the selection of the learning media used. The more interactive the media used, the more effective the learning outcomes obtained by students. Even though online learning also encountered some obstacles, teachers continued to strive to improve the effectiveness of distance learning for children with special needs by collaborating with parents or guardians of students.
