Abstract

This research generally aims to develop a model of children’s language skills based on digital literacy in Pondok Benowo Indah RT 03 RW 08 Babat Jerawat, Pakal Surabaya. First, to determine the process or stages of learning language skills using narrative stories or fairy tales from a YouTube application that is watched by them and is accompanied by their parents. The two processes or stages of developing language skills are by retelling stories or fairy tales that they see with their parents and writing moral messages in the stories or fairy tales. The method used in this study is quantitative-qualitative (mix method). The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The data will be analyzed through the following steps: 1) classifying the data, 2) displaying the data, 3) interpreting the data, and 4) drawing a conclusion. The study intends to create and develop a role of language skills for the children who mostly like their devices compared to playing together with their peers outside the home. For parents, this model of language skills can later be applied at home when they are together and interact with their children. For children, this is a diversion from the gadgets they often hold when they are at home.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the translation techniques applied in translating the lyrics of Owl City’s Fireflies song from English into Indonesian by a blogspot user. The source of data of this research is the lyrics of Owl City’s Fireflies song, and method applied is qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study in the first form are word translation techniques that have given rise to 24 data in lyrics or equivalent to 11.52% of the overall data observed. Second, the amplification technique that has been found is 9 data in lyrics or equivalent to 4.32% in the overall existing data. The third is the transposition technique where it is found as much as 1 per whole data or equivalent to 0.48%. The fourth is a reduction technique that provides data as much as 6 with a percentage of 3.84%. Finally, it is a common technique that provides data of 8 with a percentage of 2.88%. Meanwhile, the total of all data that has been analyzed is 48 or equivalent to 23.04% of the lyrics of the song Owl City’s Fireflies.

Abstract

Tujuan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mengaktifkan kembali organisasi karang taruna melalui kegiatan budidaya ikan lele yang sudah lama vakum dan meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam mengelola usaha mandiri untuk meningkatkan produktivitas anggota karang taruna. Permasalahan mitra yaitu kurangnya kreativitas dan inovasi dari anggota karang taruna dalam membudidayakan ikan lele dan mengelola modal usaha serta kurangnya pemahaman dalam memasarkan produk melalui media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui pengadaan fasilitas berupa kolam ikan lele dan bantuan bibit ikan lele serta penyuluhan tentang pengelolaan usaha mandiri mencakup pengelolaan modal usaha dan pemasaran melalui media sosial. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu adanya fasilitas budidaya ikan lele dan terlaksananya penyuluhan pengelolaan modal usaha serta pemasaran produk melalui digital marketing sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan produktivitas anggota karang taruna.
