Abstract

Basically, LAN and wireless LAN  are both computer networks that are connected to each other, which distinguishes between the two is the media data used. LAN still using cable as a medium for data traffic, while the wireless LAN using a medium wave radio/air. Wireless LAN networks are designed in this paper is intended for an office area which consists of six floors where on each floor there is an access point which is configured with a static route to deliver data packets to their proper destinations via routes that were generated manually. In designing this network simulation authors choose references software from Cisco that is Packet Tracer 5.3. From the simulation results obtained the conclusion that the configuration of the Wireless LAN was able to work well. Keywords: wireless LAN, static route, host, packet tracer

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks consist of nodes which are able to perform sensing, computation, and communication. In many aspects, sensor networks are similar but also different from the mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). Their similarities include topology, shared communication medium, and connectivity problems. Different from the MANET, the sensor networks typically contain lower mobility, much more limited resources, which therefore lead to scalability problems. Abstract

Abstrak Ketenangan merupakan suatu kondisi yang diperlukan di beberapa lokasi atau tempat tertentu, misalkan perpustakaan, tempat ibadah, dan sebagainya. Seringkali ketenangan ini terganggu dikarenakan adanya orang-orang yang mengobrol atau bahkan bersenda gurau. Alat ini dapat memberikan peringatan secara otomatis kepada pengguna ruangan untuk tetap menjaga ketenangan ruangan. Alat ini akan aktif saat mendeteksi tingkat kebisingan ruangan meningkat. Tingkat suara yang dikategorikan mengganggu ketenangan dapat diatur sesuai dengan tingkat kebisingan masing-masing yang dapat ditolerir. Dengan sistem ini diharapkan ketenangan akan tetap terjaga dan memberikan efek malu kepada pihak-pihak yang mengganggu ketenangan ruangan. Kata Kunci: Ketenangan Ruangan, Otomatisasi, Pemberi Peringatan  Abstract Tranquility is a necessary condition in some locations or certain places such as libraries and places of worship. The tranquility is often boreken when people talk excessively or even frolic. This tool can provide automatic alerts to the room users to maintain the room quietness. This tool will be activated when the noise level increases. The sound level categorized as disturbing can be adjusted according to the respective noise levels that can be tolerated. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengusulkan desain antena mikrostrip array empat elemen dengan polarisasi melingkar pada frekuensi kerja 2300 MHz untuk aplikasi 4G/LTE. Antena telah dirancang dan dipabrikasi menggunakan substrat jenis FR-4 Epoxy dengan nilai konstanta dielektrik (?r) = 4.3, ketebalan substrat (h) = 1.6 mm dan loss tangen (tan ?) = 0.0265 dengan pencatu microstrip line. Polarisasi melingkar dengan axial ratio ? 3 dB dihasilkan dengan menggunakan metode truncated corner sedangkan untuk meningkatkan nilai gain digunakan metode array empat elemen. Dari hasil proses pengukuran diperoleh nilai koefisien refleksi sebesar -16.52 dB, VSWR sebesar 1.37 pada frekuensi kerja 2300 MHz dengan bandwidth yang diperoleh dari hasil pengukuran adalah 400 MHz (2050 MHz - 2450 MHz). Metode truncated corner berhasil menghasilkan polarisasi melingkar dengan nilai axial ratio 1.745 dB dan berhasil menghasilkan nilai gain sebesar 9.04 dB pada frekuensi kerja 2300 MHz untuk aplikasi LTE.Kata kunci: Antena, mikrostrip, koefisien refleksi, array, truncated corner ABSTRACTThis research proposed a four-element microstrip array antenna design withcircular polarization at a working frequency of 2300 MHz for 4G / LTEapplications. The antenna has been designed and fabricated using a FR-4 Epoxy substrate with a dielectric constant value (?r) = 4.3, substrate thickness (h) = 1.6 mm and tangent loss (tan ?) = 0.0265 with microstrip line feeding. The circular polarization with axial ratio ?3 dB was generated using the truncated corner method while for increasing the gain value used the four element array method. From the result of the measurement process, the reflection coefficient value is obtained -16.52 dB, VSWR of 1.37 at 2300 MHz working frequency with bandwidth obtained from the measurement result is 400 MHz (2050 MHz - 2450 MHz). The truncated corner method succeeded in generating a circular polarization with the axial ratio of 1.745 dB and succeeded to obtain the gain of 9.04 dB at work frequency of 2300 MHz for LTE application.
